We hired her for one job and were so pleased with her work that we asked her to stay on to complete several other jobs. She found and unrelated problem in our historic homes and confidently fixed it. + -1 moreCre clearly knows her electrical stuff. We are doing a kitchen rehab (down to the studs) and also need better lighting in our living room. Overall, we wanted a more modern look and feel with new kitchen fixtures, cabinets, and needed better lighting. After carefully listening to our needs, Cre responded with recommendations, ideas about light types, their positioning, their switching, and ideas for better lighting and using motion-sensors for our dark basement stairwell. Cre suggested a high end recessed lighting (the clear type, not the common frosted kind). We love the results are so glad that we listened to her! She helped transform our dim, bleakly-lit living room and kitchen into a brighter, more energy efficient, modern, LED-inspired paradise. She also has a really nice design sense and her enthusiasm and passion for her craft clearly show in her work. We definitely will hire her again.

+ 0 moreI was told there would be two people coming out,. Only one person came. He did not have the equipment with him. Most electricians I've hired in the past have at least basic equipment at hand especially since we talked about the job in advance. Worker was very slow. It took two hours to replace a light (I understand that he needed to install a box at the point where the light when in) and I was told it would be three more hours to exchange regular on/off switches for motion sensors. I think they were milking the light fixture install job for as much time as possible and trying to delay until the switches were delivered. I've never seen anyone work so slowly. I told them not to bother with the motion sensors--it would have cost a fortune.
Description of Work: I needed to have a light fixture replaced with a new light fixture. I also wanted motion sensors installed where the switches are currently.

+ -1 moreAll aspects of the work went very well and efficiently. Cre and her small crew worked closely to connect a newly installed heating wire/de-icing system on the roof to our electrical system. The heating wire was custom designed and came with several logistical challenges. At every step, Cre took the time to discuss options and strategies and answer all of my questions. The installation went very well and the system works great. Cre was also very easy to communicate with, answering questions promptly by phone, email, and text. She and her crew were highly professional and I am very happy that they were able to perform the work. I will definitely hire them again for future electrical projects and would recommend them highly.

I also had cable wires that came in through one bedroom and were tacked all through the place to the living room. Cre gave me both a high and low estimate so that I wouldn't have any surprises since they don't know the exact cost until they open the walls. The estimate was right on and came in at the low end. The holes were patched and the work was excellent. While at my condo it rained and some water came in through the windows. Cre made sure to bring this to my attention along with some suggestions on how to fix it. I cannot recommend her enough.

She returned my "new-client" call within minutes and was here to inspect the issue within a couple of hours. Cre quickly identified the problem and devised a plan of attack. Less than 18 hours later everything was in tip-top shape and remains so. The guys who did the work the following day were awesome and a pleasure to have in our home! I'll be calling Cre again soon!

+ -1 moreCre and her assistant Hector were great. They came in and immediately made me feel like they were going to figure it out in a reasonable time. They started working methodologically though the house and it wasn't long before they found the problem. We feared this was going to be a huge and expensive job based on how the other electrician acted. Crew and Hector were here for an hour total.
Description of Work: We had a short somewhere in the house that was affecting lights in every room along with three outlets. It seemed like it was going to be a very labor intensive job to figure out where in the house the connection was bad (could have been in any of the light fixtures). One electrician we had come over didn't even want to try to figure it out.

+ 0 moreBack in 2007 or 2008 I paid over $1000 just to have some recessed lights installed in a kitchen. For $5000 Cre and her crew did that plus a ton of extra work to make sure everything was safe, ready for the future, and functional. I'm confident we got a good price. They came when they said they would, got the work done on time (we wanted it done before we moved in), communicated along the way, paid attention to detail (e.g. installed an additional switch for the new kitchen lights because they new it would be desirable even though I hadn't thought of it). I'll use Cre and her team again for any electrical work, and would definitely recommend her.
Description of Work: We bought a new two-family place that needed to have some electrical work done immediately. Cre was available and I had her change two breaker panels that were not up to code and fix the wiring in one of the bathrooms. She also installed a bathroom fan and vented it out the side of the building (I thought I might have to hire someone else to do the vent). Along the way we discovered that there were significant issues with the existing wiring and fixtures (no surprise in a 90-year-old place). I decided it was best to just get the work done before moving in, even though it was more than we had planned to do, or spend, up front. She and her crew spent four days running new wires, cleaning up all the old overhead wiring, installing a new subpanel upstairs to ensure that we had the circuits we needed for any future kitchen remodel and other work, installed recessed lighting, new fan-rated boxes in all the rooms, new outlets and switches, etc.

+ -1 moreShe quoted us a much higher price and only charged us the $1800 because the work was easier then she expected. We picked another electrician first whose bid was lower but he came to our house and said he couldn't do the work - it was too complicated. The work was great.
