ASAP Lock & Key

ASAP was GREAT to work with. Moshe was on-time, fair and a pleasure to work with. He made recommendations to help us save money and was very clean. You can't go wrong with ASAP.

I phoned and made an appointment, and Moshe showed up the next day. He installed two new locks and repaired the loose door knobs on that first day, then came back a few days later to install a ring around one of the new locks. The work was done very efficiently and Moshe was very cheerful and pleasant. I highly recommend him.

I found them on Angie's List and it went great. It was not an emergency but they got here within the hour. They fixed our locks so that they were better than before. They were very friendly, helpful and courteous.

Moeshe was super punctual and very quick in the replacement work. Provided some ideas regarding other locks that might need replacement -- but wasn't overly sales-y in any respect. Gave some great ideas for us to think about.

I needed to find a locksmith who could come right away. I tried calling a locksmith who we used previously but they did not return my call. I tried Asap Lock and key and they answered the phone right away. He said he could come at 9:30 as I was currently home and he showed up at 9am because he finished his other job early. He took apart the deadbolt and found the part that broke. The lock itself was not broken however the door was not properly aligned so there was pressure on the mechanism which caused a small part to break. He replaced the mechanism and carved a better slot in the door frame for the lock so it would line up better. Now it does not take 2 hands to turn the lock. :) The price was very reasonable and I would not hesitate to call them again if we have any future needs. The service exceeded my expectations.

Moishe picked up the call Saturday morning. Said he could be there around 1. He called at 12:45 to say he was on his way. He fixed 2 doors that wouldn't lock properly and then installed two new cylinders in our front and back door so we could use the same key to open both doors. We didn't expect to do that, but he said he had everything to do it and it would only take a few minutes. And sure enough, he finished all 3 jobs within a 1/2 hour or so. He was friendly and funny! And we got $10 off for being Angie's List consumers. Great stuff!!!

Very well. Quick pick-up of my initial phone call, prompt arrival (even a few minutes early), friendly by not overly chatty (a good thing), efficiently handled the job and then presented a handwritten bill for payment. A pleasure.

Moshe is wonderful! He was easy to contact, prompt (arrived about 10 minutes early for our appointment), friendly, knowledgeable, and fast - he reset all 4 locks of our new house and provided us with new keys in about half an hour. On top of everything else, his prices were extremely reasonable. Would definitely use him again.

we had 2 locks that were tough to turn, a sticky door, and a mess of keys (one for each of many locks). took a week to schedule (given not emergency), but once he was there, he was quick, made recommendations that he thought would be helpful beyond what we had originally called him about, and carried them through. would definitely use him again.

I highly recommend Moshe. He answered the phone promptly when I called which I think in itself is amazing not to get voicemail. I made an appointment for the next afternoon. He called me 2 hours before he was due at my house and wanted to know if I was home as he wanted to come EARLY. He changed my lock within 10 or 15 minutes. I was thrilled at the $50 bill and with the $10 coupon, it cost a total of $40. A+ service and great price!

He answered his phone when I called, we set up a time, and when my daughter and I got back from our walk fifteen minutes early, he was already there. We went upstairs, and I explained what I wanted done, and that if he needed to replace the back door lock to keep the keys the same I would be willing to pay for that. But he took the cheapest route, and explained he could replace the inner parts of the front door lock, offered for me to go buy a new lock myself to save money (I declined knowing it would take me weeks to get to Home Depot), and once we agreed on the price and plan, he went to work. 20 minutes later, my lock was replaced, and he even honored the $10 Angie's List coupon. The best part: he was a really nice guy, and we found we had some things in common, and talked for a bit after he was done.

We needed to install knobs and latches on two very old and difficult doors - we knew our contractor wouldn't do them correctly, so we called ASAP. Moishe was great! He wondered aloud how he would do this difficult job, but very quickly he figured out the right way and voila - the doors now work perfectly. I will hire him again to do all the funky doors and locks in my old house. He's fabulous.

He was absolutely great. So nice, came in, fixed the two closet doors that didn't work quickly and that was it. Less than 20 minutes. No complaints and would absolutely hire him again.

Moshe was great. We have an old house with many doors and substandard locks. He gave us good advice on what types of locks to install where, and suggestions on additional security measures we could take ourselves to shore up doors and windows. He worked hard and was professional and all locks work great. After straightening out an initial mix-up on the date, he arrived on time for the appointment. He could have been a bit more detailed in cleanup, but I am willing to forgive him for such great quality and wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

There was a misunderstanding regarding what time he would arrive. When I called he was on his way & would arrive 1 hour after the time I thought we agreed upon. Once he arrived worked quickly & efficiently. I would say that the total installment time took less than an hour.

My husband knows him. He comes when he says he is going to come and does what he says he is going to do. He had a busy schedule and he squeezed me in. We found a mutually agreeable time and he did what I asked him to do. I don’t know how to rate him on price because I haven’t checked around, I know him and I trust him. I would use him again in the future.

It was a great experience from start to finish. We live in an old house (1930). While we've had the tumblers changed, the lock mechanism itself is probably the original. It stopped working. I wanted the lock replaced, but Moishe explained that would be expensive and that it was unnecessary. Indeed, he fixed the locks--they are working fine and the price was more than fair. He was very pleasant to talk with and I would hire him or recommend him without hesitation.
