They are nice and good guys. It was like a 5-minute job, but that's fine. I would recommend them. I got a deal from Angie's List. The service was quick and clean.

After seeing water leaking in the ceiling, Alexander came out and performed what turned out to be a minor repair on our roof. He was prompt, responsive, and didn't try to sell us work we didn't need. He also provided us with photos to show the repair and the current status of our roof. Overall he was great and I will call him the next time anything happens.

This was a great deal. I purchased the service as an Angie's list special and the work was done within two days of the deal purchase. Alex and his crew were prompt and professional.

Overall went well cleaning the gutters.

I can't really remember all that much about the process, except it seemed very expensive for what we got and he had difficulty explaining things to us.

For the work contracted they did a great job.

After a couple of miscommunications, the job was done.

GREAT JOB, GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY

I bought a discounted roof de-icer cable installation with outdoor outlet installation. However, I had gutter problems as well (which were already known). Alex was able to use an existing outlet, so performed the gutter repair/de-icer install instead. Job was well done. I would hire him again.

He contacted me as soon as I had purchased the Angie's List special and initiated a visit to ascertain how to install the cable. We agreed a date, and his crew came out and finished the work while I was out without any hassle. There was very little snow last year so it has not gotten a true test. But with the small amount that we did have, the set-up did well.

The crew that came out was nice, knowledgable, and helpful with my concerns. I would call them back.

I found Mr. Doyle thru Angie's Big Deals. The first time I called he picked up right away and was very helpful. His crew came out and cleaned and inspected my gutters (which were in tough shape with a lot of debris). They came out within a few days of our first contact and I am very happy with the results. I would recommend them to my friends.

Terrific from start to finish! Estimate was reasonable, and we could budget for it.The Doyle's showed up promptly as scheduled, both for the estimate and for the work as planned. They put several men on the job; so it was completed quickly as planned. No radios blaring- how wonderful- and no mess. ( They even let us know when there would be banging!) One stormy day intervened they called in advance to let us know they would come the following day. They did. Site was clean every day. and at the end- our roof looked great. Because of prior work done by Charles Doyle, their father and founder,( 35 + years ago) we entered this with confidence and trust. Well warranted. We had met the Doyle sons when they were children coming to work with their dad. The Doyles have been in this business a long time;they are outstanding for great workmanship, reasonable prices, respectful scheduling and promptness, and for courtesy. We highly recommend them!

At first, Alex was quick to respond and showed up on time to give an estimate to repair a leak in an upper deck, as well as install some leaf guard and a piece of gutter. The estimate was for $800. He came quickly and did the work, with the exception of the leaf guard which was remaining as he didn't have the materials. The first repairs didn't fix the leak, so I called again. This time, he was almost impossible to get a hold of. Finally, when he called back several weeks later, apologetically, he agreed to send over a couple of guys. I was there when his brother Mike and another guy arrived. They didn't have an idea of what the problem was and began to cut up the deck. I had to leave, but I did get a call saying that the problem was fixed, but to wait for a heavy rainfall to confirm the leak was fixed. The guys said it was a squirrel problem, and that they would "do something to take care of the squirrels". They had not reassembled the deck, (this was in May) and new tenants were moving in beginning of June. After the first heavy rainfall, the ceiling didn't leak and I called him to let him know. Shortly thereafter, I was shocked to receive a bill for $1585, which was insane. I reluctantly paid it, just happy the roof wasn't leaking anymore. I waited another 7 weeks for them to come back and reassemble the deck. But by August, the roof was leaking again. I called and emailed - no response. The tenants were very patient. But now, the roof is leaking even worse than before, just 20 weeks later. I have been trying to call, and email, even through AngiesList. No response. I have gone ahead and hired another contractor who will come this week and is committed to fix the job - for $700 - with a warranty. My perspective on Alex - unreliable, no quality control, unresponsive, and no long term commitment to his clients. I should have seen the red flag when he related to me how he ran his company into bankruptcy and his work address is a Post Office box!!! A waste of $2400!!!

We looked at reviews on the list for him and also got reviews from a network in our area. We spent $16000 on that work. We liked that he definitely stayed on time with the estimation on when we met with him he was defiantly prompt in getting back to us with information. He provided us with a detailed list and probably our favorite company of all the companies we got estimates from, he was the only one who actually went up on the roof to get an idea. One guy from another company came and looked at the chimney through his binoculars and told us what it would cost to fix it, but this guy came, brought his ladder even before he thought of giving us an estimate. He was definitely thorough, stayed on target and he was right on with the time that he thought it was going to take to complete the work. He had different guys to do the work, but I did see him here a couple of times checking to see how things were going. We did find debris in the yard, but we also on two different occasions see the guys out there cleaning up looking for nails and stuff like that and we thought that they were pretty thorough. We thought that they did an excellent job and if we need to have more chimney work to be dome he will be on top of the list. His price was very competitive. He was very good about getting back in touch with us and was easy to get a hold of.

Overall, the experience went well. The technicians were hardworking, reliable, and pleasant. The price was fair, more fair compared to a few of the other places that we had called. I recommended this company to a few other people.

I spoke with Mr. Doyle on Thursday, February 3, 2011 on the phone about having ice dams at the back of my house removed because we had a pretty bad leak in our kitchen. He told me he would be by to "take a look" later that afternoon and that he would "have a crew in Needham tomorrow" so they could come do the work on Friday. He said he would call me when he was on his way to Needham. Well, Thursday came and went and no phone call. So, Friday morning, I called him to make sure that the crew was still going to come to my house. He said they got "hung up on another job" and wouldn't be able to come to my house until the next day - Saturday. He seemed genuine about the situation, so I made sure he had my home and cell phone numbers and correct address and fully expected him to show up. Once again, Mr. Doyle neither came to my house, nor had the courtesy to call me and let me know that he couldn't make it - even though he had expressed concern about the leak in my kitchen the day before. Needless to say, my husband and I ended up with hammers, borrowed ladders and ice picks for hours Saturday and Sunday, chipping away at the ice and finally getting the leak under control. I am appalled and extremely disappointed that Mr. Doyle didn't have the courtesy to call me nor the professionalism to know when he was overbooked. A little honesty would have gone a long way. If Mr. Doyle would have just told me outright that he was too busy, I would have continued calling other contractors until I got someone to come - and wouldn't be writing this report now. This was my first attempt to hire someone from Angie's List - I hope my other attempts work out better - or I'll be seeking a refund.

Mr Doyle responded immediately to my phone call. He came the same day and looked at the roof. The next day, Saturday, his crew came and within an hour they had the job complete. Will definitely use him again.

Alex's team was very efficient. The job took about a day and a half. I never met Alex in person, only spoke to him over the phone. Unfortunately, a small leak in the kitchen still remains, which I have yet to tell Alex about. Given that the kitchen has had two new roofs, new gutters, and two general contractors look at it in the past 9 years - and it still leaks - I am slightly disappointed but don't particularly fault Alex for that.

My wife called this company twice. Spoke to someone the first time and he said he'd come to give an estimate. He never came or called. She called again and left a message. No one returned the call. There's just no excuse for this kind of behavior.

Overall, things went extremely well. Everything was totally professional and pleasing.

For the estimate he was very prompt in his response, but his price for the job was quite high compared the other estimate that I received. The work went excellently and I was very pleased with the results. Everyone was very polite, on time and the work was done very quickly.
