 + -1 moreAborn locks were recommended to me by a friend. On the scheduled date, the service provider showed up on time, and completed the work of changing our locks and matching the keys same day. The provider was very polite, punctual, and I would recommend them.

 + -1 moreI called Aborn Lock to schedule a door handle change and lock rekey for a tenant's apartment. We agreed to a 10-1pm window. On the day that they were supposed to stop by, close to 12:15, I called to find out what was going on. I received a call back at 12:45pm where they let me know that they were 20 minutes away. Given that we only had a specific time window to work with (I had taken time off for this meeting) and given that I had to be the one to reach out to contact them regarding their ability to make the time slot we had agreen on, my experience with Aborn Lock left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't be using them again.

 + -1 moreWE SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH THIS COMPANY TO GIVE US AN ESTIMATE ON REPLACING LOCKS IN OUR NEW HOUSE. HE HAD BEEN HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY ANGIE'S LIST. HE CAME ON TIME AND REVIEWED OUR NEEDS. WE ASKED THAT HE GET BACK TO US WITH A QUOTE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AS WE WANTED TO CHANGE THE LOCKS BEFORE WE WENT AWAY THAT WEEKEND. HE SAID THAT HE COULD DO THE WORK AND WOULD CALL LATER THAT DAY WITH THE ESTIMATE. WE DID NOT HEAR FROM HIM, SO CONTACTED HIM THE NEXT MORNING. HE GAVE US A QUOTE WHICH WAS A BIT HIGH, SO I ASKED FOR A BREAKDOWN. HE SAID HE WOULD NEED TO CALL ME BACK WITH THE DETAILS, BUT AGAIN I DID NOT HEAR BACK. I CALLED AGAIN TO GET THE BREAKDOWN AND REMIND HIM THAT WE HOPED TO DO THE WORK IN THE NEXT 2 DAYS. HE GAVE ME THE BREAKDOWN AND I SAID I WOULD CALL HIM BACK WITHIN THE HALF HOUR TO CONFIRM AND SCHEDULE. I CALLED BACK TWICE DURING THE DAY AND DID NOT RECEIVE A CALL BACK FROM HIM. I CALLED ANOTHER LOCKSMITH AND HAD THE WORK DONE THE NEXT DAY FOR LESS MONEY.
