Multiple miscommunications. Did not perform the work as agreed. Ultimately was over charged for the work. Will never use again and will not recommend.

No problems. Was advised to get it pumped closer to two years instead of 3. They showed up right on time. Were courteous and professional.

Septic tank hadn't been pumped in several years and there was an accumulation of sludge on the bottom. To remove the sludge, the tank was first pumped, then backflushed and pumped again to maximize solids removal. No issues, job was well done.

Never heard back from this company. Called 2 times. Non responsive. Maybe out of business

Bob arrived on time and located the tank cover in no time. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. He did a great job and we are very satisfied with the work. This is our first time to use service from DF Clark and definitely will continue to use their service in the future! BTW, they even kindly offer $15 off coupon for Angieslist members for the 1st time service. Cynthia, the office lady who picked up my phone, is also very nice and helpful! Thanks!

They were friendly and knowledgeable. They worked with the town hall to get the plans for my system so they knew what kind it was and where to dig. Gave me a helpful report of the system's health and maintenance schedule suggestions.

Pete did a clean and thorough job. He had constructive pointers about what to use and not use with a septic (e.g. don't use bleach, powdered detergent (clumps up and clogs septic screen), etc.). We used our first time customer angie's list coupon for $15 off first service.

Having just moved to the area and buying a fixer-upper, D F Clark was one of the most pleasant and professional companies completing work on my property. Even though the permit process was rigorous and the gunite pool was a challenge to break apart, all work and communication was above par. The demo method actually exceeded what was required by code. All employees and the owner, Dave were always pleasant, dependable and responsive. They also did my septic inspection. I was very impressed with the consumer information on their website. Very honest. No pumping was needed.

D F Clark works with another company, Clear Water Industries. My understanding is that D F Clark primarily pumps tanks and Clear Water does diagnostics and maintenance. The receptionist was polite and intelligent, asking good questions and figuring out the best approach. I had assumed I'd need the tank pumped out first and then get the pump looked at. She thought it would be unnecessary and contacted Clear Water for me. She also told me up front what it would cost just to look at the system, which I appreciated. Clear Water showed up promptly and Mark was excellent. He had things figured out and repaired in less than an hour and didn't charge me any extra for the supplies he used to repair the system. He then recommended work that could be done in the spring when things warm up and I'm 95% sure I'll take him up on those suggestions.

An excellent experience. The lady on the phone who made the appointment was very friendly and helpful. Bob arrived close to the promised time. I had already exposed the tank lid; Bob opened the tank, measured the scum and sludge, and advised us that pumping would not be required. He made a visual inspection of the tank's internals and everything was fine, so he replaced the tank lid and that was it! I've used DF Clark for many years now, and thay have always been a pleasure to work with. Their operator, Bob, is a very friendly and knowledgeable individual, and is happy to offer advice and explanations on request. Highly recommended.

We had DF Clarke out to do a septic Inspection. My wife & are new to a septic system & thought it wise to get inspected. Bob from DF Clarke came out & could not have been more helpful. My title 5 inspection did not have a location of the tank. Bob was able to locate it in a matter of minutes, removed the portals & gave a very detailed & helpful description of our septic system. Would highly recommend DF Clarke to anyone. They also were able to come out two days after I called which was great.

We had had a Title 5 inspection done by D.F. Clark the day before and the person doing the inspection mentioned that we were due for a septic pump-out at some point in the not too distant future. As some major construction would be started on our home the following week, we were interested in having the septic work done beforehand. In spite of such short notice and a full schedule otherwise, the scheduler was able to fit us in the next day! Bob arrived with the septic truck as scheduled. He was so pleasant - and very professional. He went about his work quickly and quietly, and left little trace that he had ever dug up any portion of our yard. I can't imagine any company providing better, more professional service of this kind. I would highly recommend D.F. Clark for any such work!

Contractor was prompt, listened to my description of what was wrong and investigated problem and corrected.

Everything went great! I called DF Clark to set up the appointment, the woman on the phone and set everything up, and I met the service person at the house. They arrived on time, did the job and sent me the report as promised. Now that I'm in the house, I will probably use them for pumping the system as needed as well thanks to this positive experience.

My new best friend in the septic world (Clear Water) arrived at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon to a septic emergency (toilets not flushing which we first thought was a plumbing issue but when the showered gurgled we knew it was worse). Went above and beyond (in on and off rain) to help us locate the pump and septic (we knew the general area it was in from the sepic architectural plans - again from 16 years ago when it was installed) then drain same (this took ~2 hours from start to finish). Was polite, calm (we were polite but not calm), and did not leave until the system was such that we could get through the weekend. D.F. came the following week and brought us up to 2013 standards (and told/showed us what was wrong in a situation where given I know nothing about septic systems, they could have replace everything and I would not have questioned it). This included upgrading electronics, new intake pipe into the septic from the pump area, raising the elevation of the 'lids' from 36" down to grade level, locating and testing the outflow) and more. I never thought that I would be writing my first recommendation on Angie's list on septic systems but there you have it. Footnote - When we first thought it was a plumbing problem I checked Angie's list for the name of a plumber. It was that plumber who recommended that I look local for a septic person and not use 'the chains'. It was great advice. Found this company in the local yellow pages. I recommended that they go onto Angie's list (which they said they were in the process of doing already) and was pleased to see today that they did and that I am able to review/endorse their services.
