Mr Fix It Handyman

Lorenzo has done multiple jobs for our family in the past four years. Most recently, he installed a closet and helped us assemble a standing conference table. The table top was damaged during transport and after multiple attempts from the company to deliver an undamaged product, we decided to hire Lorenzo for his advice to fix multiple damaged tabletops. He not only helped us but had ideas to make the tabletop look even better. What’s our next project? He is building us a reading bench for our office. We have recommended Lorenzo to friends all around town. I’m always happy to pass his name to people who have home projects big or small because I know he will get the job done quickly and efficiently at a reasonable price.

I put in a request to replace my mailbox. I was quoted a price of $ 450. Prior to agreeing to pay for the job, I asked the business to give me a breakdown of what I would be paying for the work (I.e. replace the post, pick up materials, disposal of old mailbox, etc.) I did not receive a response after that. I make it a practice not to pay anyone until I see a breakdown of what I’m paying for. While I cannot accuse him of doing so, I did not want a situation in which someone would go out, pick out a mailbox for me, take off the old one, put the new one on the old post and leaving me to deal with the disposal of the old one for $450. Just didn’t work out for me with this contractor.

Lorenzo did a great job, and I especially appreciated how communicative he was. Very responsive in the planning process, as well as through all the work. The doors look great, and he did a great job overcoming various obstacles. Would definitely hire again.

Lorenzo is great. Honest, trustworthy, and skilled. He built a large 3 season porch and deck for us this summer and it is beautifully crafted. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy, and it was evident he took pride in his work. We get compliments all of the time, and can’t wait to get more use out of it.

Lorenzo scheduled the work very quickly. Cleaned gutters on a 2 story house which had not been done in 2 years. Repaired sagging portion of porch ceiling. Everything was done quickly and looks great. Cleaned up everything. Highly recommend

Our kitchen water faucet was installed two months ago by Mr Fix it Handyman. It became loose and twisted 90 degrees. We contacted Lorenzo for the repair. He arrived the next day and quickly determined that the original product was defective. He advised us to return defective part (faucet) and recommended a more reliable faucet which was very affordable (under $100). He said he would wait for me to run to the store and purchase the replacement faucet at no extra cost. I purchased the recommended product (and was able to return defective one according to his instructions) and he was then able to install it immediately at no charge or fee. It’s comforting to know that there is an honest and reliable contractor we can call and not get taken advantage of or give us the run around. We have utilized his services previously and recommend him highly for all big and small home Improvements.

Efficient and professional ! My granite counter and cabinetry beneath had collapsed after I stood on it! Yikes! It was a disaster and Lorenzo knew just what to do and did the repairs in no time. It looks great- thank you so much! I will definitely call you again should the need arise.

Lorenzo was hired for several small projects. My sister was paying $ 3300 for his work. 1.Replacement of kitchen counter with a butcher block countertop. Lorenzo quoted $375 which included the price of the butcher block . The day he came to do the work ,he suggested that instead of a butcher block he could use some old wood that was in my garage. I agreed. The finished product was not only unprofessional but actually dangerous. The “new” countertop was in 2 separate and unsecured pieces of wood. For this he charged $375. When I objected to the cost , since he neither provided a new or functional countertop he said he would take off $50. For not really doing any work.

He was great and went above and beyond to help my elderly mom. Absolutely would call again and recommend.

I've had Ren do many jobs for me over the years. This time he installed 3 replacement windows for me. As expected he did a great job. Removed the old windows, worked with me to find new windows that I liked even though they required staining on the inside, installed the new ones, replaced old sills as needed, stained the new windows. He was punctual and diligent. Everything got done in a quality and timely manner. Also he's a very nice friendly guy.
