Description of Work: Ren stained the bathroom door at my mom's house recently. He handled numerous tasks one year ago after her hip replacement surgery...railings, etc.

Description of Work: Mr. Fix It arrived on time I explained what I needed done, and he explained how he would go about it. He was able to extract all the cabinets off the walls, put them away for pick up, and cleaned up after. There was a hour left over, and he replaced a door on the second floor. It took longer than an hour but there was no charge. Mr. Lorenzo was polite, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the work he needed to do. I have used his services 3 times now. He is a sure bet for your home. Lois

Description of Work: Lorenzo, Fixed several cabinet drawers, installed new sliders. Also installed new mailbox and post. He was great. Very prompt, resourceful, neat and professional. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Description of Work: I bought six hours of work-time so we could get a couple things taken care of: The most important was the kitchen ceiling, as my husband started the job (he was a master carpenter and a general contractor), but is unable to finish it due to shoulder problems. (needs surgery, can't raise arm very high or for very long.) 1. Mr. Fixit supplies basically NO supplies for the job - all he contributed was a couple of tarps to cover the floor. He told me that any time he spent getting supplies would come out of the six hrs I bought, which makes sense. However, because of what my husband did for a living we had almost everything anyway, but some items were pretty basic and you'd think he'd have had them. 2. He told me it would take 40 minutes to hang the plastic to keep the plaster dust from spreading throughout the house. Needless to say, I wasn't going to have that come out of the six hrs, so my husband and I did it the night before - took us about 15 mins, at most. 3. Some of the questions he asked were sort of odd and left my husband and I shaking our heads. For example, there was a small part of the ceiling that my husband couldn't get to, to remove the popcorn ceiling that was there. One would assume that he would remove that bit of popcorn, sand under it, and then put the skim coat on.....he was going to put the skim coat on over the popcorn until I told him to remove the popcorn first. (I believe we mentioned that area to him the night he came to check out what we wanted done.) 3. He and his helper were here exactly 3 hours and what was done was done. His helper was a young girl - perhaps his daughter - he coached her through the work. 4. My husband checked out the job that was done - he said they did a good job, but it should have taken ONE person 1 1/2 hours at most to accomplish what was done. We were not at all happy with what was done for six hours of worktime.

Description of Work: Lorenzo came with an assistant and fixed several issues I had - swapped out my kitchen faucet, fixed a leak in my bathroom shower, cleaned out and re-caulked my kitchen sink, and completely dismantled and re-mantled an armoire that wouldn't fit upstairs. All the work was done very very well. I had one little problem after he left and he came back promptly to fix at no extra charge.

Description of Work: We were lucky enough to buy a total of 8 hours of Handyman services at half-price as an Angie's List "Big deal" special. Mr Gardner, (Ren), arrived on time. We showed him what needed to be done, and he set to work. In the 8 hours, he repaired a sink drain, adjusted a twisted plumbing connection, planed a door for greater bottom clearance, installed a wall timer and a 4-outlet electrical wall socket. He worked quickly and knowledgeably and was done on time. Even if we had paid his full rate, it would have been money well-spent. At the "big deal" rate it was an extraordinary bargain! We would not hesitate to use him again.

Description of Work: Because we live out of state and it has been difficult to find a reliable handyman. After contacting Mr. Fix, our worries were removed. He fixed everything we needed such as the heating element in the oven, refrigerator and sink. On another occasion, our tenant contacting him and he contacted us and fixed the mailbox immediately. I highly recommend his services. Also, he took before and after photos for us to show us the quality of work. We have faith in this handyman.

Description of Work: I contacted Mr fix It by e-mail on Tues, 3/6/2012, to give me an estimate on a job removing a wooden railing on a den roof, sealing the post holes and removing the wood . I received an immediate reply for estimating the cost etc. with a date Friday, 3/9/2012. The work was completed , much to my delight, on Monday.3/12/2012. Lorenzo and his helper were efficient and courteous - I would give them an A for their service and will definitly hire them for other jobs in the future.

Description of Work: I have had the pleasure of doing business with Lorenzo on 2 occasions. The first occasion he painted a bedroom. estimate was very resonable, he was on time. Cleaned up and left without any problems. The second occasion was for a busted pipe that was spraying water, he came and gave me an estimate that was competitive. Because I knew his quality of work, he fixed my pipe and started it the day he gave me an estimate. Would definately recommend him if you are looking for someone reasonable with prices, professional, and does the work he promises.
