Everybody, from the person who answered the phone when I initially called, to the person who came to do the repair, was courteous and professional. Dave showed me his ID immediately I answered the door to him, fully explained the repair that was needed and came back the next day to complete the repair. He took pains to do as little damage as possible to the paintwork while removing the sill and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards.
Description of Work: Anderson window repair and new parts installed. Very courteous and prompt. Explained everything prior to work being completed and performed work to a very high standard.

A Designer from A. Boilard Sons came to the house and took all their measurements and they ordered the cabinets. They provided an installer who they assured was competent with installing kitchen cabinets. Boilards initiated contact with the installer and provided him with all the specifications. The installer installed most of the cabinets and then told us the the remainder of the items couldn't be installed because they wouldn't fit. We also noticed that one of the cabinet doors opened the wrong way. We contacted Boilards and told them about the problems the installer was having. They said everything should fit. We were told that Bob Boilard would and quot;Make it rightand quot;. Bob never contacted us about our concerns. We requested several times for them to come out to the house and look at the installation. After several attempts my fiancee went into Boilards to speak to the designer and she was able to speak to Bob who reluctantly sent out his designers to our house. She said Bob was very hot headed and just told them to go to the house. He informed her that we didn't have a contract with them and that it was between us and the installer. The designers came out and told us that someone can probably do something. After several attempts to talk to Bob Boilard about our concerns and never receiving a response we requested mediation services through the Better Business bureau. Bob responded at this time however he wouldn't accept responsibility for their mistakes and he denied being responsible for the design and measurements. We made several attempts in good faith to try and resolve any issues. We felt that since they provided the design that they should be able to help resolve any issues. Bob claims that they aren't responsible for the design and that we had 5 days after the cabinets were delivered to notify them of any discrepancies. He suggested again that we pursue action against the installer because he feels he could do something to make everything fit. We are very disappointment with this company and we wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Unfortunatly we are left with products that aren't installed and they weren't willing to do anything to help make it right. The designer himself told us that they aren't like the big box stores that can afford to fix their mistakes. We feel that they should be able to do something to help us resolve our issues.
Description of Work: A. Boilard Sons provided their design service and ordered Kitchen Cabinets and granite countertops for our kitchen. They also provided the installer. The agreement was that in order for A. Boilard Sons to guarantee the fit of the cabinets and accessories that their Kitchen Designer would be required to take the measurements for the kitchen.

Unfortunately the course of events are strongly miss represented. First off the installer was a recommendation by our design staff and was eventually hired by the homeowners. This kitchen was not sold as an installed sale, the homeowners were responsible for that hiring. Bob Boilard was unaware of the issue until the homeowner visited the store and the following day both the designers were at the job to inspect the complaints, off which made no sense to them. The cabinets with doors going the wrong way is a new one and one never brought up. The installer followed protocol for installing cabinets with in tolerances of the kitchen being off an 1 1/2" from one corner to the next. Adjustments were made and upon the installer putting in the crown the homeowner was over heard that they were not going to pay him, so inevitably he walked off the job before he finished mounting the crown. This was after after numerous unfriendly run ins with the homeowners. We were even blamed for the poor microwave installation, of which we have nothing to do with. Boilard's and their designers filled their end of the agreement by supplying a functional design and providing kitchen cabinets to the homeowners, all which were signed off on by the customer. What ensued after that with the installer, that they contracted with and paid separately, is not Boilards or our designers fault. Boilards stands behind what we sell and if a cabinet is unacceptable we replace it. We do not run and hide from our issues. But we will not accept being punished for a poor relationship that developed between a homeowner and their contracted installer and their miss understanding of how cabinets should be installed when things are not quite level and square. Angies List provides a great opportunity for customers to post about their personal experiences. That being said, Angies List has to rely on is only one side of the story which at times is not accurate or truthful. Boilard's has been in business for almost 80 years, we didn't do that by treating people like this post claims they were. We pride ourselves on servicing our customers and have done so since 1936........ Thank You
