Derrick and team are fantastic to work with. They did MAJOR repainting and replacing rotting wood on the entire exterior of our house. Put in a new deck and replaced rotten doors on our garage. Also a bunch of painting inside (2 bedroom and an entryway)

Derrick and his crew did an excellent job. My home was pressure washed, prepped and painted. A rooftop deck was removed, new support beams were added, then an azek deck and railing were installed. Derrick was great. He helped me choose the exterior color- custom- and took great care at ensuring that my landscaping was not damaged during the painting process. His responsiveness and attention to detail are great. He had previously painted the entire interior of my home. Highly recommend!

The work was done on time and excellent quality. They came when they were scheduled and finished on time. The crew cleaned up when they left each day.

We originally hired Schmidt Painting after purchasing a new home on Cape in which we decided to repaint all rooms, doors and trim on the first and second floors, including built-in bookshelves and stairs. Derrick provided a very competitive rate and his team (which includes his wife) were professional and efficient in the execution of the job. Derrick was attentive and checked in during the job to ensure we were happy. We were thrilled with the results such that we brought them back to do additional interior painting for the finished basement, fireplace, sunroom, etc. We remain very happy with the results and would recommend Derrick Schmidt Painting to anyone and if we need work done in the future will definitely bring them back.

We were very pleased with the outcome! Having the cottage interior painted all one color transformed the space making it bright and clean. A lot of surface prep was required and it was worth it to achieve the outcome we were hoping for.

Painters were good, considerate, and professional. However, the estimate was 15 percent ($1250) below the actual cost. We were not consulted before the work was done. It was only explained when the final bill was presented. He stated that he had seen only 2 areas where the trim would have to be replaced but there were 15. He is the professional and it is difficult to believe that he missed that many considering several were at ground level. The paint specification changes without notice. Again the explanation was the company didn't make a brown color. Again for someone in the business, It hard to believe that he doesn't know his suppliers.

The guys came in and plastered and sanded the walls even over some wallpaper. Then sanded again including the trim. And then primed and painted. They did an awesome job! Would highly recommend Derrick's crew.

the quality of the job was not great. after 3 months the bathroom ceiling ended up being worse than before it was painted. Extra care and cost went into prepping the ceiling by his tream. Yet the final outcome was a cracked and pealing ceiling. When I contacted Derrick regarding the work he didnt offer to even look at the work to see what occurred. He simply ignored the fact there was an issue by saying that stuff happens.

Excellent work! Derrick was very helpful assisting me with choosing paint colors for my living room and the shutters on the exterior of my home. His painters were neat and professional.

Derrick is absolutely great to work with. He knows his business, what will work and not work, what new buyers look for, how colors will look. His supervisor and the subs are great, meticulous, always busy, always show up, fix any loose ends, etc. Very efficient operation all around. I hired them for a second family house that I needed to renovate and sell. Pricing is very reasonable considering the quality of the job. Would hire again without hesitation.
