Description of Work: Power wash, sand and replaced a few rotted boards with vinyl board. Stained clapboards, trim, Arbor, and deck all in one day. Crew of 5.

Description of Work: I would definitely use this company again. They did an excellent job painting my home. Details: I hired them to paint my cathedral ceiling in my kitchen, it was difficult to access because of wood beams and a ceiling fan, as well as a storage area above a wood stove that had to be painted out as well. Derek came out to look at the job ( I had hired them of eight hours) and told me that they could do the ceiling and additional work in that time frame. So I had them also paint my living/dining room ceiling as well as my stairwell ceilings (2). When the worker finished these ceilings there was still time so he ended up painting my upper hallway ceiling too! I've never had a painting company that worked fast and efficiently and showed up promptly as well. I'm much more used to slow, less than competent workers stretching out jobs. It was a pleasure to have Schmidt Painting work on my home, and I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Schmidt Painting was contracted to paint my family room. There was a mix-up about the date, but it was resolved and the job was completed on time. The work was excellent and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality painting contractor.

Description of Work: I met with the owner and discussed the work and cost. This was a special deal through Angie's list so the cost was set. But we did talk about the possibility of extending the work and agreed on an hourly rate. Mr. Schmidt indicated that the painter may be able to complete more work within the time frame. He provided me with a specific list of paint which I purchased at 2 local stores. The job included painting a kitchen ceiling, applying Kilz and painting a bathroom ceiling, applying Kilz and painting 2 lower level ceilings. There was still time available (the deal included 8 hours of work) so the young man painted a bathroom door and 3 windows. He was polite and hard-working. I would request him for additional work. I was a little surprised that Mr. Schmidt did not follow-up the next day to see if I was satisfied. But that would not prevent me from using his services in the future.

Description of Work: He came to the house on Saturday, January 6 and said he would send his drywall man to do the work. He got back to me and his drywall person came today. He did a good job replacing the ceiling in a 2 x 5 ft. area in front the fireplace. He worked quickly and left with the ceiling patched very nicely. I plan to call this company to get additional work done after April 15th.

The email offered an apology and link to Angie's list for refund. I appreciate my Schmidt's effort to contact me. I understand the error and will be fine with all once my refund is processed. Description of Work: contacted after pre-paying for a coupon, for removal of wallpaper derek came promptly, i also asked for an additional estimate for painting. I never received an email estimate. The job was a very small area . after I cancelled the coupon derek called and stated he did send an estimate....and gave me an estimate over the phone of 399.00, said he would do the job that day...i deferred, he said he would call and schedule...never did. I found someone to do the whole job for 300.00

Description of Work: The owner, Derek, called me within hours of my online purchase for the 8 hrs of painting. We agreed on a date; he called me to confirm the day before. He and the painter of the day showed up on time, completed the work in the allotted time. I'm very happy with the results; Mike did a great job and left the area as clean as he found it. I already have plans to use Schmidt Painting again. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend using this painting service.

Description of Work: This husband and wife owned company did a prompt estimate, explained the work needed, stayed on time and on budget and did a great job. They repaired rotten wood trim, washed the shake shingles and applied stain, carefully painted the trim and siding and then cleaned up every trace. The workers were efficient, polite, prompt and were continuously and directly supervised by the owners. Schmidt Painting is fastidious about attention to detail even when it requires return visits for final touch-ups. Totally satisfied.

Description of Work: Schmidt painting painted my living room, dining room and kitchen, including walls, ceilings and all trim. Mr. Schmidt came to my home and gave me an estimate on a Sunday morning and my job was underway by 8:45am the following Tuesday -- just as promised. After a slight amount of confusion (paperwork related-- nothing important) the crew, including Mrs. Schmidt who is foreperson, were neat, polite, efficient, thorough and completely professional in every way. As promised the entire job, including prep and cleanup, was completed in one day. I was delighted with the care they took with details like cutting in the walls, ceiling and trim (walls were bright yellow and ceiling white flat, trim was white high gloss enamel) and the details are important. They did a great job. Mrs. Schmidt is very painstaking and she is a real artist. The result shows it. One minor point-- when working out the estimate it's important to be very detailed about what you want them to do. Example: If you want your doors painted you have to say so, etc). That's not a complaint-- it's just a tip.
