EXCELLENT! Derrick Schmidt came out and gave us a very thorough and professional estimate. His commitment to the time to start and to get the job done were spot on! I would give him a total "Thumbs Up" recommendation...

Derricks crew did a great job washing the exterior of the house. They were punctual, professional, and polite as usual. The house really needed to be cleaned, and Derrick helped us out, even though we might wait until next year to paint the exterior.

The process went very well. Derricks crew painted the entire interior. Walls, windows, closets ,doors, ceilings, kitchen cabinets, and more. They transformed the interior of the house into a beautiful living space. His crew was punctual, professional, & polite. We have hired in the past, and will hire again. Derrick is a perfectionist and it shows. He goes beyond what is expected. Couldn't be happier.

Derrick and his crew did a great job. They arrived on time with enough people to complete all the work in one day. My furniture was moved efficiently, all surfaces were covered, equipment brought in, and the crew was hard at work within 45 minutes. I was very impressed with the speed and quality of the work performed. There are a couple of very minor touch-up items to be addressed, but that does not detract from my overall satisfaction with the work and the company. They even re-painted the kitchen cabinet hardware and the fireplace grate, neither of which was part of the bid! I was planning to replace them, but now I don't have to. The painters were pleasant, seemed to enjoy their work and left only some sanding dust behind. I would not hesitate to recommend Schmidt Paining and will be contacting them again to paint the outside of our home. If you get multiple bids, Derrick's may not be the lowest, but take it from someone who has been burned more than once by painters and other service providers, you get what you pay for. In the case of Schmidt Painting, I got more than I paid for. P.S. Derrick also recommended a young woman for construction clean-up who was also wonderful and will be cleaning our house regularly in the future. She is also an Angie's List Provider - College Pro Maids.

Derrick and his team are very dependable and always care for the home. The new colors will be transformational on the main floor. The team is very thoughtful and maintains the cleanliness of the house. Since purchasing our home on the cape we have used derrick and his team numerous times.

Derrick and his team painted the entire interior of the house. The results were dramatic and positive. Because he did lots of sanding, there was dust everywhere. It needed to be cleaned before inhabiting the home so, we agreed to split the cost of cleaning. Derrick was very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend his company for painting and I plan to use him when I paint the exterior in a few years.

Excellent job painting the house and deck. First, Derrick was very response and detailed in his quote. Took over a month to schedule and given a few weather days, it took longer than planned. But that was expected with a few rainy days. Once complete, the was a professional and clean. Excellent job and would recommend.

We are very pleased with our decision to hire Schmidt Painting. Derrick's estimate was very comprehensive and remained constant even though some additional sanding was required to remove some test areas of paint I had incorrectly applied. The difference between the house's before and after appearance is quite impressive. The work performed by Schmidt's recommended carpenter was also quite good, resolving a long standing water runoff issue.

Derrick Schmidt came promptly when first contacted to give an estimate for power washing, staining the house, repairing and painting the trim. The estimate arrived soon after. The work started within the window of time that was given and the painting itself was completed within two days. The work was neat and well done and the crew was very careful to clean up afterwards. Derrick continued to be responsive to questions and concerns even after the work was completed.

Derrick Schmidt's paint crew did an outstanding job. After the power washed shingles and brighter trim color the house looks like new. We are very pleased that the trim color change from dark to white was done so well. We were not at the house during any of the work and you wouldn't know they were there. The house area was clean and everything put back in place that they obviously had to move away from the house. Derrick himself is one of the most professional and responsive contractors we have worked with. The ongoing communication really made for a good job even though we were not at the house. I would highly recommend using Derrick for any paint job.

Derrick and his crew did an excellent job. The foreman was great and so was Derrick's wife Sarah. They did not paint around fixtures, but took the fixtures off the house for a real clean job. We would definitely have them do more work for us in the future.

The painters were great. Very neat. Hard working and professional.

We are VERY happy with the work that Schmidt Painting did on the exterior of our home. We have hired many painting companies in the last 18 years, and this company is by far the BEST we have ever had! Derrick the owner, is very personable and professional. He is very knowledgeable, and knows his products.His crew was punctual, pleasant, and very skilled. They prepped the house extremely well. They did a wonderful job painting and cleaning up afterward. I bought a big deal for this service. They came in and looked at the work that was needed to be done. They said it was no problem and they could get it done for that price. When they came back to do the work the price kept going up and up and up. By the time they left, the deal was suppose d to be, like, $499, I think, and it would up costing $750. I would not hire them again. After they left ,when I had time to look over the work they did, I really am not that pleased with the work they did either. I had him give me an estimate for some other work and he has since contacted me four or five more times about the estimate he gave me. I am getting the impression that they need work and are going back to previous customers trying to drum up more business. They certainly are not going to do any more work here.

It was a great experience working with Derrick and his crew. Derrick was flexible in his scheduling as I had limited time up in Plymouth (I am still living in FL until Sept). He was able to work around my schedule. The crew were very professional and polite and did an excellent job and even completed the work in one day as there were enough of them. They worked for about 11 hours and then cleaned up thoroughly. It was a pleasure to work with them and I would definitely use them again in the future. I should also mention that Derrick was able to assist me in color choice - his recommendations were great and I am so pleased with the outcome.

I found Derrick Schmidt to be very professional and responsive, promptly returning emails and calls. He gave me an excellent price for the job which included quite a bit of carpentry,(replacing trim boards) in addition to the power wash and painting. It was very nice having "one stop shopping" to get all the work done with one contractor. The price he gave me at the estimate was exactly what I was charged, no cost over runs. Phase one, the carpentry, got off to a little bit of a rocky start, with scheduling (carpenters not showing up when I was expecting them and not getting in touch with me about a schedule change) and I was hoping this wasn't the way the remaining job would go. When I called Derrick about it, he was right on it. We got that straightened out and in the end the carpentry was nicely done. The power wash was done ahead of schedule and they did a great job, especially on the wood decks, which looked like they'd just been installed brand new! The painting began on the day we had scheduled. The crew were the nicest most polite men. They worked very hard with long days and finished the whole house in 3 days, so it would be done in time for an event i had planned. There was no mess left behind. The head painter as well as Derrick, who came to the site each day, steered me along with the color choice, without being bossy about it, and I'm so glad I took their advice. The color is perfect and exactly what i had imagined and hoped it would look like. Bottom line, my house looks beautiful, and I'm absolutely happy I chose Schmidt painting.

This is the third time I have used Schmidt Painting. I had a previous home in Harwich that Derrick did work for me so I knew I was getting a hard working, honest painter. Derrick was very patient with us as we had to move the start time a little around the contractors. He also was extremely helpful in choosing colors for all the rooms. His crew was meticulous in covering all our belongings and taping off our newly finished hardwood floors. Where there was a small bit of paint, Derrick was immediately responsive and removed it with no issue. My contractor was very impressed with the work. (it was his painter whose estimate I didn't go with ). Derrick will be back to our house in about two weeks to paint the outside. I highly recommend Schmidt Painting!

I have used Schmidt Painting multiple times now, over about ten years, and am always impressed with the speed, quality and professionalism of their work. They show up when they say, do the work much better than you would expect it to be done and leave the work space clean and ready to go with no drama, mess or follow up problems. Their price is reasonable, they deliver highly professional results on-time, and they are easy to work with. I will use them again the next time I need a big painting job done and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality painter on the outer cape.

We decided to overhaul our Falmouth house and this required repainting the walls of most rooms, the trim of several rooms as well as the ceiling in several rooms. After reading reviews on Angie?s List, I called Schmidt Painting and scheduled an appointment with Derrick for a review and quote within a few days. Derrick had the quote to me the following day. The painters were always on time and the crew was extremely polite. Customer service is certainly a priority throughout the company. The painting crew was very capable in terms of painting and fixing small problems with wall-board and chipped trim. Since this is a vacation home, I communicated via email, phone and text with Derrick and it was seamless. During the job we made many changes that were incorporated without any issues. Schmidt Painting had very good reviews on Angie?s List and they lived up to their reputation. Most importantly they finished the job on schedule, the painting was high quality and the price was fair. The following year, I had a number of outside painting jobs including power washing, a large front porch, a back deck and a long fence. Once again the job was done quickly and at a fair price. I would certainly hire Schmidt Painting again.

Derrick Schmidt did an excellent job. In this summer of the elusive contractor, he responded right away to my request for an estimate. I got a proposed contract within days. He laid out carpentry work that needed to be done before they painted and put me in touch with a carpenter. He was flexible about scheduling. He sent a big crew to power wash the house which they did in a couple of hours. The same crew came a couple of weeks later and got the job done in 2.5 days. The house looks amazing. He has a very low key manner, especially over the phone, so there were a couple times when I wasn't sure we were understanding each other, but those concerns were unfounded. He is willing to communicate by phone, text or email and easy to reach and responsive.
