We had a terrific experience with Derrick and his crew. The quality of the paint job looks second to none, and the crew showed up early and stayed late to get everything done on-time. From the prep work to the painting, we were extremely pleased. We were also surprised that the price was very competitive. We have recommended to friends and neighbors, and, in our view, they deserve the fine reputation that they have.

Derrick quickly came to our home and gave us the estimates. His team was able to start within a couple of weeks. This was important to us as we wanted to get our home painted before we moved into the house. Their work was meticulous. The term people have used in our home is "museum quality" painting. We could not find a single issue in the rooms they painted. The teams worked hard and put in long days. We will only use Schmidt paining going forward.

It went very well.. Some area's of paper removals was challenging but it was all completed and walls patched and painted. Once the job was completed you couldn't tell were the patches were. A little more money but worth it as the end results is far more superior than other painters I have uses. They were very clean and left the house the way they found it. I will be using them again and would highly recommend them.

Schmidt sets the gold standard for painting, both interior and exterior. There is extraordinary attention to detail and quality of work. The crew moved fragile items and furniture, then used photographs to replace the items correctly, a very reassuring method. The work is done quickly and thoroughly and the level of disruption is far less than other painters have created. Cleanup was as important and well performed as the rest of the job. Price was competitive.

I was extremely pleased. Derrick is very detailed, kept good notes of what I needed, checked again before he began sections, called if suggestions or questions. At end of a segment, I would inspect, give punch list and the loose ends were taken care of. They power washed the house before painting and also power washed deck and stone driveway and walkway and improved the look greatly. There were always more crew members than I expected, they worked efficiently, so the job progressed nicely. His prices were quite reasonable compared to other estimates i received. I am very glad i chose Schmidt painting.

It went very well! We are extremely pleased with the entire job. The prep work is exceptional. The carpentry work is excellent. The painting and staining couldn't be better. Quality, timeliness, professionalism, communication, knowledge and attention to detail. All at a great price. We had Derrick and his crew paint the entire INTERIOR of our house 6 months ago, and we didn't hesitate to hire them for the exterior. In our opinion Schmidt Painting is the best available!!

Bidding and scheduling were fast and adhered to our short time table. Job was done very quickly, in the time promised. Workmanship was impeccable. The painted areas look fantastic. The only problem was, I assumed items such as doors, stairway spindles, and quarter-round trim on the floors were part of the "woodwork" quote. Since these items were to be painted in the same semi-gloss trim paint as the baseboards, cabinets, etc, I thought they were considered woodwork. Perhaps I was incorrect in this assumption. After the job began, I was informed that all of those items were additional, and not included in the agreed price. I agreed to pay extra for the doors, but opted not to have the spindles or quarter-round trim painted. If I had agreed to add those items to the job, the job would not have been done by our deadline, and would have cost nearly as much as the higher quote that I had not chosen.

Our vacation home hadn't been painted in years. Three sides of the house are shakes and were peeling very badly. Some of the trim was dry-rotted. We contracted Derrick Schmidt to prep and paint the house. We chose him over two other contractors because he was the only one who knew why the paint was peeing and how to remediate the problem. He and his nine member crew arrived early in the morning and like a swarm of bees power washed the house, removing the loose and flaking paint. After allowing the shakes to dry for several days, they returned to sand the shakes down to bare wood. All the trim was sanded and the damaged areas were repaired or replaced. Then the house was painted. It took 4 business days to complete the job. The work is impeccable and the house looks terrific. His crew is respectful and courteous, and they clean up after each day. We highly recommend Derrick's company. Just be aware that scheduling work during the busy season is a real challenge for contractors, especially those who don't cut corners. You will be pleased with Schmidt's work.

Couldn't have been happier with the work done by Schmidt Painting. All parts of the process went very smoothly, from the initial meeting with Derrick to walk thorough what we needed, to the final product overseen by Derrick's wife Sarah. The entire painting crew led by Sarah were extremely hard working and professional. I would recommend them without hesitation.
