Schmidt Painting

It went really well. They did a beautiful job dealing with some complicated rooms (one with a ceiling of about 12 feet). The one glitch that occurred is that one room was painted the wrong color, but that wasn't their fault -- it was the fault of the paint store, which had placed the wrong label on a can of paint. When I pointed the problem out to them, they apologized profusely, then quickly adjusted, went out and purchased the right paint, and repainted. The room looks fantastic. These are very artful workers who take pride in what they do -- and cleaned up nicely afterwards, including the task of putting back together my TV system, which they had had to dismantle to get at the walls. They are easily now my go-to choice for all the services they provide, which seems to comprise a fairly extensive array. A great experience overall.

Excellent crew, showed up promptly at 8:00 am on the specified date that work would begin, crew worked tirelessly until 7:15 pm to complete the job. I never expected the work to be completed in one day but it was. The crew was very meticulous. I was having hardwood floors installed after the paint job so the crew waited until after the install was complete to return to caulk the baseboards, fill nail holes, and put the final coat on the baseboards. communication with Derrick was excellent, he returned my emails promptly, would definitely hire again.

They arrived on time and did a great job! I think it was kind of a fussy job as there was a lot of trim work to paint around and some plaster and tape repair work - all was done flawlessly. What more can I say? Naturally I would hire them again.

Work was done promptly and professionally. Crew was very hardworking. Derrick made suggestions to improve quality of finished product. Price was reasonable in light of work performed. Only negative was that we specified Benjamin Moore paint and provided numbers but Sherwin Williams paint was used.

As always the job came out perfect. His awesome crew is polite, professional, talented and are exceptional in preparing for the painting. I will never use another painting company. I have the BEST!

Found this company on this list and had Derrick quote on my whole house interior painting job this past summer. Of the 3 quotes, he hit the middle. The level of reviews here and elsewhere got him the job along with his follow up email this fall offering a winter discount. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the end result. His crew is hard-working (long days!) and the job gets done expediently as a result. Crew chief Salvatore and his workers are professional, respectful, and skilled. Derrick does a final walk through to make sure everything is top-notch. Stress free contractor. Recommend.

Work went very well except difficulty removing old vinyl wallpaper in one room. This required. extensive spackling, sanding/feathering, but the end result was excellent. All activity was well coordinated and proceeded in a timely manner. Derricks crew was courteous, and efficient. The finished job was very satisfactory.

Great. Plan to hire them again. . They spackled, moved the furniture and placed it back and recommended someone great to do a major cleaning afterward. They were prompt , courteous, knowledgeable and trustworthy.

I found their work to be excellent. And the house was neat and tidy when I returned, no mess. Nice to have a company that can do their work well without having to be there to supervise.

Derek evaluates the job, provides a written proposal, and once you review and sign, he schedules the job. He also reviews the job once completed to ensure satisfaction. There are no hidden costs. Over the years, we have had several painters for various jobs inside and out, and there has always been an issue either with work performed or price changes. After Schmidt Painting completed the exterior of our house, we have hired them back several times for interior painting projects. I can confidently recommend Schmidt Painting.

Excellent work. A family business run by Derrick and his wife - conscientious and hardworking couple. They responded promptly to all phone calls and emails. The crew arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. They worked diligently for 12+ hours. Derrick made a follow up visit to ensure we were pleased with everything.

Each time the crew showed up and completed the work in one day! Other painting contractors would have taken several days. When all was done, there was very little that I asked to be redone or touched up

We own a rental house on cape cod. Over the past winter we did foundation work and renovated our kitchen, and added a new bathroom. Derrick arrived promptly to look at the job, gave me a price quickly and got his crew there on time. Of course the renovation finished up a bit later than we had hoped and we were under time pressure approaching the arrival of our first renter but the crew was there on the first day we had the house available for them and did a fantastic job. We also had them repaint ceilings on the second floor which had become moldy, and touch up the shingles and stairs outside. Derrick always keeps our house looking clean and well maintained. Over the last winter they also removed 13 original 1930s doors, took them to their location, scraped and repainted and they look fantastic.

The quality of the work was impeccable. The workers were friendly and more than willing to deal with any last minute requests. The price paid for the job was reasonable and fair. We were very happy with the job and would use Schmidt Painting again.

The work was high quality and promptly done. All of the painters were pleasant and hard working. They left the house neater than it had been when they arrived.

Color suggestions were excellent. Prep work was meticulous. Derrick even provided detailed info to deal with window problems.

Derrick is one of the best painters on the Cape. We were lucky to move in during the winter when it was not soo busy and Derrick was able to paint our entire house quickly and did not leave a mess.
