"Augustine Lett stole $11,000 from us. On July 30, 2022, we met at our house and executed a contract of over 100,000 for exterior work on our house. We also gave him a deposit of $35,000 which he cashed on August 9, 2022. In September 2022, Augustine dropped off deck boards to be used in the work. On September 24, 2022, we met again at our house and Augustine said he could not do the project for the agreed-upon price. He agreed to refund the difference between the $35,000 deposit and the actual cost of the Azek decking he purchased and delivered to us. He estimated the decking cost $24,000 but agreed to provide a receipt to show the actual amount of the refund. After that, he ghosted us. Emails, calls, and texts were ignored and unreturned. On November 15, 2022, we filed a Breach of Contract claim with the Barnstable District Court. The case is now pending."

"Joe and his crew completed 90-95% of our project (mostly a patio) back in November/December and said theyâ d â of courseâ come back in the spring to complete the work. Joe asked us to pay the remaining 50% of the contract because we were the only work they had at that point in the season and, since it was the week before the holidays, he wanted to â take care of [his] guys.â My husband and I thought it was a nice sentiment, so we agreed - though, I did email an outstanding completion checklist to set clear expectations for the spring. Iâ ve texted, called, and emailed for 3+ months to no avail. So, keep in mind that even if he does complete your project, his one-year warranty means nothing! I will gladly revise this review if he reaches out and we come to a satisfactory resolution, but as of now, my next steps are filing a complaint with the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, contacting the AGâ s office, and if needed, filing a small claim for the amount Iâ ll need to pay a different contractor plus compensation for my time and stress."

He then replaced interior doors with solid doors and replaced a exterior door. Then he replaced a spiral staircase with a traditional staircase with a landing. This came out unbelievably good. "Contracted Long Baths to install new shower on 3/21/24. Salesmen were very professional. 4/18/24 New shower installed. The contractors did a terrific job on the installation, very hard working contractors. All was good, except they were suppose to extend one shower wall about 4 inches around corner. They did not do that and they knew nothing of this. Called that very day to Long Baths, left message to call back. No call back! Called a few times and finally spoke to representative. She said she would have someone call us. No call back! Called one of the salesmen. He remembered our conversation of wanted one wall to be extended to cover a problem area. He also said he would call us back. No call back! Its now, 2 weeks later and still no call back?? Bottom line, do not contract Long Baths â bad customer relations!"
