I contacted LCM Flooring in the late winter for an estimate, and booked an appointment for June to have my deck sanded so that I could stain and enjoy the deck for the summer. On the day of the appointment, they didn't show up. I called and they seemed surprised, but promised to come the next day. Due to potential rain, the work was postponed to the following Friday, and the same forecast delayed the work again. I called Lucas five times to reschedule and never heard back from him. It is now July and I've found another company to do the job. I'm very disappointed especially because I planned so early to ensure I could get a June appointment.
Description of Work: Sand outdoor deck so that I could stain.

Project started with a scheduling mix up. Owner took responsibility for the mistake. Crew showed up late into the afternoon and worked into the early evening until existing kitchen floor was removed. I was very concerned about the final look of the floor after the feathering of the existing floor with the new kitchen floor. The owner assured me that after the sanding and poly was applied I would not be able to tell the old floor from the new floor. He delivered on that promise. I was delighted the way the flooring project worked out. The sanding of the floor was dusty even though the service provider advertises a dustless system. After the sanding process a fine dust covered any uncovered surfaces. The service provider next day cleaned up as much as reasonable. I believe it is unrealistic to expect no dust residue after the sanding process. My impression is that without the measures taken by the services provider (backpack vacuums when sanding) the dust problem would have been a lot more severe. Service provider needed a 240V to power the large floor sander. Without talking to me he disconnected the electric cable for my range (not being currently used because of a kitchen remodel project) inside the electrical box and connected a cable to the back of the circuit breaker for his sanding machine. I would have been more comfortable if he used the existing dryer or range plugs instead of going inside the main electrical box. Talking to me first would have been greatly appreciated. In conclusion I would like to restate the fact that I was completely satisfied with the work performed by LCM Flooring and would not hesitate recommending this service provider.

We hired Lucas through a realtor friend who had used his services in the past. He gave us a free estimate and was very professional and knowledgeable in answering our questions and meeting our needs. Work started promptly and on time. His crew had to remove old carpeting from two of the bedrooms and hall. They also removed laminate from the first floor master and were able to salvage most of it for future use in the work area of our basement. Baseboards were removed carefully for the installation of the new floors. All work was done quickly, and the areas completely cleaned up. Top notch oak flooring was installed and sanding done with a minimum of dust. Three coats of polyurethane were applied, and sanding/buffing was done in between each application. All work was done on time and the floors were finished beautifully. We have had many comments on how great the floors look. We highly recommend Lucas for the quality of workmanship, professionalism and highly competitive prices he offers.
Description of Work: Installed red oak hardwood flooring in 3 bedrooms plus a hallway. Also refinished family room, kitchen stairs and hall floors to match new flooring.
