 + -1 moreJosh, who I think is the owner was very friendly and helpful from the minute we walked in. I told him what kind of fireplace and remote we had and he said the best thing to do was bring the remote and receiver in. We came back the next day and determined it was not fixable and he sold us a universal remote/receiver at a very good price. His employee , who's name I didn't get , walked me through the installation. Everyone in the store was very nice..

Description of Work: Was unable to get any information when i went in ready to purchase a gas fireplace insert. No one provided any customer service, they do not return phone calls. I was told to come back another day. I asked if they at least had any brochures I could look at to compare models. A few were handed to me in a rush. I left, went to Bow and Arrow Stove Shop in Marstons Mills, received excellent information, got all my questions answered, and made a purchase that day. If I can't get any help trying to make a purchase, could only imagine how bad it would be if I made a purchase and had any problems that required follow up. Will never go back to Iron House.

 + -1 moreWeldy Webb and her staff helped me select a stove that was going to be able to meet the heating needs of my home and family. We found the family at the Iron House to be particularly helpful, to the point that we ended up buying another stove, this time a pellet stove, about six months later. In both cases they arranged installation and offered practical assistance with permitting. Great local people, the Webb family have been doing this for some time and you can see that they care about their customers and their reputation. You end up going back to the same store to get wood or pellets so you know that these guys place great emphasis on personal customer service.
Description of Work: I purchased a Vermont Castings Wood Stove from the Iron House on a Tax-Holiday in August 2010.
