Description of Work: Richard was so great. He came to give us a 'rough' estimate on a house we were considering purchasing. This is not his usual practice as there is no guarantee that we would own the home. Understandable, but he made an exception in our case. He was early to the appointment and not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but he had also done his homework on the neighborhood, to be sure that the money we planned to put into the home after purchasing would be a good investment and not put us 'under water' on the value. Richard also made additional suggestions of ideas we had not considered which was great. Later that afternoon Richard called and followed up with an estimate range for the project so we could get an offer in, in a timely way. This was very important as we were in a tight window to make the offer. Overall we were very happy with our experience with Richard, he is very upbeat and positive.

Description of Work: They reconfigured a bathroom to include a new walk-in shower. Also, replaced Windows and 2 sliders. Excellent work!

Description of Work: Installed 3 solar tubes. Was punctual and cleaned up everything when the job was done - in less than a day.

Description of Work: Snow removal - did driveway, front & back doors and pathways, deck with snow blower, brushed off 2 cars. Also cleared snow from front & back side of roof with extension rake, put down some rock salt.

Description of Work: I first met Richard Peckham in September 2008 when he was literally on top of my parents house reshingling their roof. My Dad told Richard that I was looking for someone to repaint the entire interior of my condo. Richard was very friendly and said he could do it during the winter when work slows down for him. It would be a good indoor job. I told him that I would be going away for a week in January so that would be a good time to do the job because I would be out of the way. Easier for him, easier for me. So I got his number and we had a meeting at my home in November or December of 2008 to go over the details. Richard cleverly suggested that a container be rented to hold my furniture as he and his team worked their way through my home. I picked out the paint and gave him a deposit for the job. Richard Peckham began working for me in January 2009. Richard is very trustworthy so leaving him with a key to do his work while I was out of town was no problem. I came home to a freshly painted home that looked fantastic! From there I hired Richard to do various jobs. He rebuilt my deck in the summer of 2009. He double the size of the original deck so we now have twice as much outdoor space. He was good about explaining to me the type of wood he would use and why. He walked me through the project before he started to get my input and give reccomendations. I know Richard came to do various odd jobs for me between the summer of 2009 and the Spring of 2011. During those visits, he would tell me his ideas for finishing my basement. He was right, I needed more space with a toddler underfoot (my son was born in May 2008 so a playroom would be a great addition to our home). Finally, I took him up on his offer. In the Spring of 2011, he took on the HUGE project of transforming my unfinished basement into a playroom/office/guest room. Again, we talked over our ideas of what we thought would work. He listened to my ideas and I heard his suggestions and we came up with a plan together. Richard was very patient with me while I cleaned up years of clutter that had accumulated in my basement. It was a big job to get the basement cleaned up and ready for Richard to get to work. He even helped me with getting stuff to Good Will as we prepared for the project. My basement went from a dark messy cold space to a bright fun family room. He framed the space, drywalled, put in lighting, built an "L" shaped desk in the corner, put closet doors on the water heater area as well as the laundry area. He even built a half bath which makes the basement an ideal guest room. He also created a smaller storage room at the back of the basement so I still had space for suitcases, christmas decorations, etc. The basement has made our home so much more organized with all of my 4 year old's toys, train table, etc in one place out of sight. Everytime I show people my basement, the first word out of their mouth is "Wow!" It's pretty spectacular!
