Handy House Cleaning

My husband met with them on their first day to go over what needed to be done between rentals (we listed it on AirBnB), explained that checkout time is 11:00 am, and check-in time in 3:00 pm, and we gave them the code for the lockbox. We set up another cleaning for Friday, June 21. On Thursday June 20, the cleaning person asked if she could start cleaning at 8:00 am on Friday. I explained that we had renters there who were checking out at 11, so 8:00 would not work, but that anytime after 11 would be fine since the next renters were not checking in until Saturday. Later on on Friday, she texted me to say she was at the house but it was locked and no one was answering the door. I had to explain to her that I do not live there, that it is a summer rental, and didn’t anyone at Handy give her the code to the lockbox?? I gave her the code. She communicated with me afterwards to ask questions that my husband had gone over on the first visit. Did sheets need to be put on the stripped bed? (Yes). Where were the clean sheets? (Another thing we had gone over with handy). This poor girl had no information at all. She was not told it was a summer rental, she was not told what we wanted to have done, she was not told where the clean sheets were, and she was not told the code to the lockbox. She was told only that it has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. At this point I cannot recommend Handy, nor can I give them a bad rating either, since I do understand these things happen. But we are paying a lot of money for this, the house is very small, and we expected much better than this. We are disappointed.
