Description of Work: I met the owner when he came to perform my initial inspection. At first I was a little hesitant because the inspection didn't seem very in depth but he did appear to know his line of work well and was very friendly. After a few weeks and two sightings of rats In our back yard I finally called and scheduled my first visit. They were out within a week and I was able to see a drastic difference since their first visit. Great company and effective products. I do recommend this company.

Description of Work: I was told by a home inspector that we had termites. I set up an appointment with Fowler and Son. He did a complete inspection inside and outside in the crawl space and found no signs of termites. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. He didn't charge or the inspection. I would recommend them and will call them if needed in the future.

They are very responsive when you call with a question. They stand behind their work and will make a special visit for no charge if you are having a problem between services.

Description of Work: Had done inspection in past, very thorough and helpful. Evidence of carpenter ants appeared. They were very responsive and professional. Took time to describe the treatment, whether it was dangerous to my dogs and the unpleasant possible outcome of dying ants coming out into the living space. Promptly responded to emailed questions that arose later. Have worked hard to coordinate follow up treatment with my schedule. Extremely pleasant to work with, from office staff to inspectors. Considerate of our needs.

Description of Work: In the process of selling a house on Cape Cod that belonged to my mother, (I live in Washington State) the buyer hired Mr. Fowler to do a pest inspection. Despite having had another company last bait traps in June 2009, in November 2009, Mr. Fowler found evidence of carpenter ants and termites, although no such activity had been found by A-1 at any point in the previous 2 years. Previous to the sale, extensive work had been done on the house including a new roof and extensive interior renovation. At no point did any of the workmen I subsequently checked with see any evidence of either ants or termites. However, Mr Fowler's report raised the specter of fear of invading pests with the buyers. It is my feeling that Mr. Fowler saw a way to make a quick $1000 at my expense in a situation where time is a factor and simply because he could in a situation where both parties in a house sale are essentially powerless to do anything other than the work he recommends...

Description of Work: I HAD A MAJOR MOUSE PROBLEM AND FOWLER WAS ABLE TO GET RID OF THEM. NOW I PAY $50 FOUR TIMES PER YEAR FOR INSPECTIONS/UPKEEP.
