In a phrase, everything went terrific on both jobs.
Kevin provided a comprehensive estimate before beginning each job, outlining the exact details of every step to be performed, and any unknowns and contingencies that could happen during the job. This was frankly unusual, extremely helpful, and ultimately prevented any surprises.
For the bathroom, Kevin did the demolition work and basic construction himself, while sub-contracting the tile work, electrical work, plumbing, painting and ceiling finishing. He put in a new exhaust fan and skylight (including putting a new hole in the roof), and replaced an iron roof exhaust pipe with PVC. Whoever was working always showed up promptly and worked diligently - the professionalism and quality exhibited by all involved was exceptional. There were a few "adjustments" that were made along the way, but everything was always clearly communicated and worked out, and in the end everything was done at the time and cost expected.
For the windows and door, Kevin did all the work himself. Again, everything was done at the time and cost expected.
It is all-too-rare to find a contractor gem like Kevin and The Carter Company, and we will use him again and again for any building needs we have. We know that even if he can't do the work for some reason, he will guide us to someone who has the same work ethic and integrity.
You won't be disappointed.

It is run by Kevin Carter. He lives just two doors away. I don?t see how he could have done any better. He is a quality guy who does quality work.
