In the beginning during the sales process the owners were friendly and responsive. While they were not particularly flexible or quick about scheduling the template, they got it done. The finished product was disappointing in that the stone wasn't very polished and the bullnose wasn't well done. Then, when we encountered a sink size issue not the fault of the fabricator but required a new counter, they were slow to respond and not helpful. For the same cost to replace the counter, we got better choice of materials, and better quality and service from another fabricator.
Description of Work: Fabricated countertops, back splashes and bath shelves.

Communication was not what I would have liked. I could only talk to Misty on the phone or via email, never met or spoke with the owner/manager until the day of installation. The shop is just down the road, and there was never anyone there to talk to. When they came to install the marble they were brilliant at handling the large and heavy pieces. They cut the holes for the taps too big and then patched it with epoxy. Looks gross, I had to special order some escutcheons which I have yet to have installed (who wants to call a plumber out again!). The way they fabricated the pieces was totally thoughtless of how the marble would look when installed. Meaning: the veins in the marble run from few to many. If they had paid attention, they would have reversed the direction of the slab to cut the adjoining pieces. Instead they all lay the same direction and it is SO obvious where the seams are. Just sloppy and unprofessional, in my opinion. Updated to include: workers seemed to have no concept of Marble and placed their things directly on the marble. We were left with rings from cans right from the very start.

I would have liked to work with Bill. On the phone he sounded great; he said he has been in business for 25 years. But I find it very unprofessional to 1) forget that you made an agreement with someone, 2) forget about both a phone call AND an email, 3) tell someone you'll call them back in 30 minutes and not follow through, 4) not contact the person to apologize. If he had just called and said he messed up and he will try to make it right, I could accept that. Everyone is busy these days and an honest mistake can be forgiven. But that never happened (as of this morning). And all this is with a prospective new client as well (which won't come to pass).
Description of Work: I needed someone to come to my house to cut off a small amount of a granite counter top so a new gas range could be installed (the counter top was installed without the proper clearance, not by Stone Concepts, but by another firm years before). I spoke with Bill on the phone Monday morning, and he sounded great; very knowledgeable, professional, and he was able to do the work on Wednesday, a few days before the new range was to be delivered. I thought that this is someone I could work with. On Tuesday I emailed him with the details of our conversation; my address, his dollar quote, the description of the job (which was quite simple and would only take less than an hour or so. He had quoted me $250.) On Wednesday I had not heard from him, so I called him up. From the tone in his voice he apparently had forgotten about me. I reminded him again that he was supposed to be at my house that day towards the end of the day. He said he would talk to one of his guys and get back to me in a half an hour. He never called me back, nor did anyone show up at my house to do the work. I then had to scramble to find someone else to cut the granite counter top, which thankfully I was able to do, at half of the price Bill quoted. It is now Thursday morning as I write this, and Bill has still not called or emailed me back.
