+ -1 moreIt went great. New England Clean Energy installed my rooftop solar in 2014. Everything went as they said it would, including my electric bill savings and SREC checks. The only glitch was during the installation, the panels (on the back of my house) were slightly visible at the top of the roof from the front side. The installers adjusted the panels to make it perfect. Very happy I went solar!

They have excellent work standards and use high quality products. They are well organized, easy to communicate with, and have delivered on every aspect of their work, even making an extra correction on a detail of installation which may not have been necessary, without charge or resistance. This is the hallmark of a well run company--one which takes pride in its work. Their employees seemed very happy to be working for New England Clean Energy, which again speaks to the quality of the organization. I would recommend them highly.

Description of Work: We decided on using NECE because of their ratings and better warranties. They met my expectations and were there when they said they would be there. Not 10 minutes late.. always on time. And they kept me informed, fixed some small aberrations that they didn't like, and fixed a couple of initial issues with one of the solar panel optimizers.. within 2 days. An overall great experience and I'm glad a paid a little extra as I feel I got my money's worth and confident that I will continue to do so for a long time. The panels look great.. I've only been generating for over a month but so far they are generating what I expect. I pitted this company against another one that quoted higher production.. using the exact same panels and inverters at a somewhat lower price, but with a shorter warranty on the roof and workmanship. I find it hard to believe that they would have delivered on what they promised. Also, the design with NECE ended up looking better than that designed by the competing company. The only issue I had was that it wasn't quite the same design as initially drawn out.. due to the septic vent and skylight windows. But the panels are on the back of the house, and look great as is anyway, just different.

Description of Work: Installed 38 solar panels,an inverter, and got us hooked up with an aggregator and hooked to the grid. It went very well, in spite of the ensuing blizzards - they came and cleaned the panels of snow so that the final building inspection could be done on time.

We got quotes from NECE and one other company, and found NECE's prices to be much more affordable. Their service - from installation to paperwork to financing to billing - was exceptional at every stage. They were on-time, worked with us to make sure we were happy with the placement and appearance of the panels, and took care of all of the details. I can't recommend them highly enough.
Description of Work: New England clean energy sold us solar panels and facilitated everything from financing to permitting to increasing structural support for our roof. We had support every step of the way.

Jason@micro-monkey.com They took way too long from what I can see to install I started in fall and they couldn't start until spring after lots of back and forth We had to change locations and there was a communication break down of where it should be placed but they were accommodating Standard contractor issues I guess

Jason@micro-monkey.com 32 Solar panels installed in the backyard of my house, 2 inverters in the basement, trenching to backyard (also to my pool), competitive prices, professional install, as usual with contractors you have to keep on them and push them along well at least with this company but they have lots of work I am sure, they only have 1 engineering company contact for structural work as I had a special stadium mount which was a cheaper install, all went fairly smoothly, they could be faster and more responsive

They took care of the local permits, SREC sign-up, National Grid interconnection paperwork, installation, and showed us how to monitor and maintain the system prior to go-live. They did such a great job that both my sister and one of my good friends have also hired them!

+ -1 moreThe team at New England Clean Energy was an absolute pleasure to work with. The initial proposal was thorough and explained well by Mark, the President of the company. References were provided so that we could get some direct feedback from other customers. Jonathan, the project manager, was on top of everything, providing updates along the way. Phone calls and e-mail messages were returned promptly. The installation crew worked well together and cleaned up after themselves. The only delay was related to the engineering study to determine whether the roof could support the additional weight of the solar panels. Once we got beyond the engineering study, everything went quickly and smooth. Start to finish, it took just three days to install the panels and complete the electrical work. One week later, after the approval of the local electrical municipality, we were generating solar power. New England Clean Energy took care of filing for the permit as well as notifying the local electric utility about the solar panel installation. The installation crew even helped us move some heavy furniture during their lunch break.
Description of Work: New England Clean Energy (NECE) installed 27 Bosch Aleo solar (PV) panels on our south-facing roof, with 27 Enphase microinverters to convert the solar energy to usable electric power for our household. Also, all electrical work was completed to monitor the production of solar energy. NECE also provided an engineering study to ensure the roof could support the additional load of the solar panels and made arrangements to have a separate crew install support trusses in the attic. All paperwork was completed by the team, including a building permit and notifying the local electric utility of the installation project. A closing meeting was held to explain the operation of the equipment and the ongoing support of the company.

+ 0 moreThey were great. They were the only company we interviewed with whom we felt comfortable - the others either didn't know what they were talking about, or seemed dubious in some way. These guys really knew their stuff, spent plenty of time going over options with us, and we felt really comfortable ordering the system through them. They did a wonderful job with site prep and installation. We had absolutely zero problems with them.
