The estimate was precise, times arranged were kept to, team of workers was timely, clean and professional, the owner filled out rebate forms (even provided SAE!), overall it was a very smooth experience for a five day job.

We had air in the heating system. They determined it was either a lost valve or a failed guage or a failed presure reducing valve at the boiler. They did not have the necessary guage with them to determine what the real problem was which was a failed domestic water reducting valve. So they replaced both causing me extra expense to replace something that was not broken. They latter came back and did a full system service. Within 2 months I had major problems with the system. The second contractor came back and found several parts that had been failed for quite some time leading me to believe the full service check out was not done thoroughly. He also told me the mark up on their parts looked extreme though I have no comparative numbers to prove it, I felt the same. To their credit the owner of the company was very responsive when I expressed my dissatisfaction. and pulled out a bunch of zone check va

The repairs were because the system hadn?t been installed properly when we had bought the house. They did a good job. There was an issue with a leak with some of the stuff they had installed. I talked to them about it. They were totally cool about it and sent somebody out pretty quickly to come and fix it. They did not charge me for the repair. We were happy with that. They were friendly, courteous and responsive, and answered all our questions. They figured out a couple of things that we had. My suspicion is that they are not super cheap, but I am not sure because we didn?t shop around. We got our money?s worth for the work they did, and the quality of work was very good.

A technician dispatched to our home and isolated issues with our heating system quickly and accurately. This system had already been reviewed once, and the issue was not found by another company. The technician ordered the proper part to repair, and installed the part successfully once it arrived. The heating system has been running much better since the repair.

Blower attached to furnace stopped working Christmas morning. Technician call received quickly, even had a call back from the page operator to confirm that we'd received a response. He was willing to come out on Christmas, but since we had heat in one zone of the house, we asked if he could come the next day. He called promptly the next morning and arrived at scheduled time. Service was completed. Took care to wear shoe covers in the house. Will do business with again and recommend to others.

Overall experience was excellent. The motor in our 30 year old central A/C unit was failing and we called Chaves to get estimates on both repair and a new unit. We decided to go with a new Trane system, which Chaves installed. Appointments for the repair estimate, installation estimate and installation itself were all on time. Prices were competitive and the work was quality. We have had no issues with our new installation. All of the representatives were friendly and professional.

Decided on Chaves after getting 3 quotes from local HVAC contractors. Final decision was based on face-to-face sales calls both at home and in the contractor's offices, reputation of mfr's equipment, contractor's reputation, and price. Informed Chaves of our choice and arrranged a date for installation. Chaves called a day ahead to confirm. Also had a call from the plumber(Curley Plumbing of Hudson, MA) to arrange final gas reconnection and inspection. Chaves installers arrived at 8:00 AM, introduced themselves (Doug and Andy) and went to work. Very polite guys, very professional. Job went smoothly and the site was kept clean and orderly. Around 3:00 with everything installed, we were given a tour of the new equipment with instructions on how to use it. All the manuals were turned over to us. A day later the plumber arrived at 8:30 to complete the gas hookup.....took all of 1/2 hour. The following day the plumber called early asking if the inspector could come. He was there 1/2 hr later, took a quick look and OK'd everything. System has been up and running for 3 days and Chaves sales person is scheduled for followup visit next week. Bottom line - excellent experience Highly recommend Chaves.

During the initial quoting process a load calculation was performed on my house and I was given information on the equipment that I would be getting if I chose them. They came back one more time with the installer to get some more details and an idea of the total cost. I went through the MASS save heat loan program (which is great) and they were very willing to help through the process. They provided quotes when needed, and made everything very smooth. I took the week off from work when the work was done which was great because I had to take some ceiling down to run duct to the second floor. It was also nice to be home when they were cutting in vents to be sure that they got placed in the desired location. I had some suggestions which they listened to and made changes to accommodate. I also have two cats which they were friendly with and made sure that they did not get outside. It is an older house which made some things more difficult with running ducts in spaces that were never intended to have ducts run but they made it work. The system fired up and everything seems to be working thus far. Although they were not the most expensive, but they were up there, but they supply high quality equipment (Trane). They said they would be complete in 4-5 days but took a total of six. I was told that the work would start at 7:30 am every morning, but didn't usually start untill 8 or later. There were anywhere from 1 to 5 people working at once. The guys were very friendly and spent a fair amount of time busting each others chops. All in all, I would say it was a good experience.

They are prompt, professional and very competitively priced.

Responding to a mailing by Mitsubishi I contacted 2 dealers for information and quotes. Joe Chavez responded by e-mail within in hour, came out and gave the estimate the next day (even transferring the quote to my computer using a memory stick) and scheduled the installation as soon as I gave him the OK. The installer came exactly when scheduled, did excellent work, and took the time to explain the unit details thoroughly. The electricians showed up a few hours later and completed the installation. Joe came by a few days later to inspect the work, even going into a tight crawl space to make sure everything was sealed properly. He brought all the documents for the tax credit and the rebate, including a stamped, addressed envelope to send in the rebate. Best contractor experience I can remember...and the other firm (that we have been using for years) hasn't even responded yet. The unit is excellent, completely heats and ventilates (and will cool and/or dehumidify) a 1400sq ft. finished basement and save money over the cost of electric baseboard heat. The rebates and tax credits reduce the price above by about $1400. Completely Satisfied!

I got to know about them through Angie?s list and chose them because of that. I did get many estimates and I chose them. They did high quality work and they were very professional. When they saw a problem they diligently worked on it so that it was solved. They work was done very well. The appearance and function of the furnace was good. They gave me a computer estimate. They were very informative and friendly.

Everything went quite well, although the electrician didn't show up for a few days after the equipment was installed. They hauled away all of the old stuff, added an outside conduit to the side of the house, which greatly improvede the appearance of the installation, and left everything neater and cleaner then when they arrivede. Nice job.

They come out and do what they are supposed to and they don't do anything additional. They never find problems that are not there. They tell me the least expensive fixes and I like that. They are very reliable and nice on the phone. They show up on time and get it done in good time. I would refer them to other people and I would hire them again.

I have used this company for the past six years. I chose this company because they are familiar with the April Air system. So far they have provided me with responsive service. I had a small pool of water under the furnace. I gave them a call and they gave me a choice of several appointment times. They came out and fixed it.

I asked them to perform preventive maintenance on my gas furnace. They were prompt, and did what I assessed to be a thorough job. They identified a broken vent pipe, and returned a few days later to fix that. The technician even dated the new filter so I'd know when to change it.

I also bought a service contract with them. They were the best company out of the four that I had come in.

Everything is a lot better now. They have college educated colleagues that can solve a variety of problems. They are very good and I am thrilled with the service. They come when you ask them to come and they are my favorite. I love them!

Absolutely top notch and very professional and clean. I can't say enough good things. Ok, I thought the price a little high, but it's been worth it. When the guys were cutting into closet walls or ceilings for ductwork, they held boxes up to the holes to catch the dust. They also picked up the dust cloths and vaccumed every day. They were very nice and again, very professional. The unit is working to perfection with no warm spots or extra cold spots...very even temperature throughout. These people obviously know what they are doing. I highly recommend this company and will have them do all my servicing in the years to come.
