Catseye Pest Control - Boston

Hired for mole treatment, may as well flushed $900 down the toilet. I hired Catseye for mole treatment and if anything the moles are more active now than before. 24 hours after the first treatment the moles left my mulch beds and began moving across the lawn. so I called and they came back for a 2nd treatment. Still didn't even slow the moles down. So I called to see what to do and they said a mgr would call me. That was last week. I did not get a call so I called back and I was told again a manager would call me. I did not get a call. I need to know are there other treatments. Do I have super moles that are immune to the carbon monoxide? Before Catseye came to treat my yard I had one mole hill. Now I have a dozen (will try and add pictures). I don't blame them for making it worse, but clearly they didn't help and they didn't seem to care too much either. There has to be someone better out of there with better customer service. I cannot recommend using Catseye

This review is based on a belief we were given dishonest information during our estimate. We asked Catseye to come for an estimate for evidence of mice in our house. Upon arrival, Noah went to our basement and found evidence of rat(s) due to droppings on one of our storage bins. He confidently stated the droppings were fresh, and due to some insulation being torn nearby there was certainly a nest in our basement. He then looked through our entire house and commented on evidence of mice when he saw it, fine. When he came up to me at the end of his look around outside, he gave me the company's estimate for a treatment plan. Expensive, fine, but when he asked what company we'd had in the past and I told him, Noah laughed sarcastically and gave a dig about the other company which I found unprofessional. This experience was in marked contrast to when I next called another company, talked with the owner online with no drama, and ultimately hired their team at an annual cost (very similar initial service and follow-up treatment plan) at a 15% less cost, and have so far had knowledgeable, courteous service which is staged out for longterm effectiveness. Of note, the rat droppings Catseye stated were fresh, were definitely old - the staff we hired said experts can easily tell due to droppings being hollowed out and dust gathered on top of them. The company we hired said it is clear there was no rodent scent, no nest evidence, and the rat was likely long gone and no nest set up in our home. It was disappointing to realize we were likely given an exaggerated view of our problem in order to cultivate business.

The Recommended service involved chemical deterrents for ants and other insects. I decided to hold off for now since I have pets that would need to be kept away during the application, and the ant swarm was just regular ants and not carpenter ants.

After unsuccessful capture, I called when saw new activity. They returned and reset traps without any hassle. It is clear that their goal is customer satisfacgtion

Lisa and David tried scamming $300 out of me saying they wanted to replace my perfectly good bait boxes with her own before starting treatment.

It worked extremely well. They were very thorough and covered the entire property.

We found these guys online, and at first we were thrilled because they responded quickly and came right out. After our appointment with them I looked up their website and felt uneasy with having paid them because one of the reviews came from the salesman who had come to my home (who was a very nice young man) and the other came from the gentleman who responded to my original email inquiry. We were even more uneasy when we heard a friend of our complain that his pest control service cost him $500. After speaking with an Angie's List representative, we found out that the price we were given was extremely high for the work they were going to be doing.
