 + 0 moreFrank and his apprentice, Keith, were very professional, came on time, and did quality work. Frank told me the job would take about two days and they completed the work in a day and a half. They cleaned up afterwards and took all debris with them. He charged about half of what the estimate was with another contractor. I would definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: I needed new balusters on my staircase, the landing reinforced, and the stairs painted.

They were able to paint all of our requested rooms within our requested time frame and were willing to work around our schedule to get the job done and even swept/wiped down the floors when they were done.  + -1 moreIf you need dry wall or painting work done hire Frank. He is professional, honest, conscientious and detailed. His focus is getting the job done right. I think he spent more time on our job than anticipated but he honored his original quote. There was one area above our kitchen sink that he redid WITHOUT me asking for it to be redone. I thought the repair was fine but the repair did not meet Frank's approval and they took the time to make sure it was right. Frank and his team removed all the damaged plaster, re- plastered the damaged areas and then painted everything. He has a great eye for colors and was able to match the existing paint colors. They cleaned up everyday before they left and made sure the house was livable while they were working.
Description of Work: Frank repaired damage from ice dams in several areas/rooms in our home.

Description of Work: We found Frank Oliveira through Angie's list and gave him the contract for painting and some carpentry work at our house which was soon to be put in the market. I can't praise Frank enough for his professionalism and excellent performance. Frank completed the work well within the time frame discussed, excellent in returning calls and working with us to get our project done in a timely manner. Very impressed with his work quality.  + 0 moreFound Frank Oliveira Painting and Carpentry thru Angie's List. Frank was very easy to deal with, prompt, picked up daily. I'm very satisfied with his work and it was at a very reasonable price, would not hesitate to hire again.
Description of Work: Repaired water stained/damaged ceiling areas, 3 places, repaired plaster on a bathroom wall and painted wall section, painted 1 wall of family room (water damaged), painted complete ceiling in family room (cathedral with beams and over textured paint), kitchen ceiling, living room ceiling, master bedroom ceiling, hallway ceilings down, up, and stairway.

Description of Work: Frank Oliveira Painting and Carpentry was hired to paint the entire interior first floor of our 4-bedroom colonial (kitchen, family room, living room, dining room, bathroom), including the upstairs and downstairs foyer and the attached sunroom. The work included all trim, doors, and walls, and the ceilings in the kitchen, family room, and sun room. They also repaired several cracks in the walls prior to painting. Frank and co-worker Keith arrived on time everyday and spent the entire day at the house, finishing in about six days. They were very professional and cleaned the rooms every day before leaving. They made sure we were satisfied with the work at all times, and were meticulous in their painting. Frank had painted the exterior of our house many years ago and did an excellent job then, so we were certain to hire him for the interior work. We are very happy with the results of the job. He is very honest, has reasonable pricing, uses high quality paints, and does excellent painting with attention to customer satisfaction. We definitely recommend Frank Oliveira Painting and Carpentry.

 + 1 moreHe stepped in when another vendor quit part way through a job after failing to show for two days. We were struggling to meet a deadline to put our house on the market, and he worked very quickly. His staff were polite, pleasant, and moved a great deal of furniture that would ordinarily not have been their responsibility at no extra charge. They left everything clean, consolidated and tidy each day before quitting. They also consulted with us regularly so that we could prepare rooms in time for them to paint without having to slow down. Despite Frank's willingness to step in almost immediately in our "crisis" and work very quickly, we only found a couple of small faults afterward, and nothing that was obvious.
Description of Work: He painted walls and ceilings on my entire first floor with cathedral ceiling, wallpapered walls and lots of windows.

 + 0 moreThey went over and above what was expected. Turns out most of the house had to be sanded and scraped, which took almost a full week. They were friendly, professional, hard working and committed to doing the job right, no matter the time. It was a pleasure dealing with Frank and his crew, they did a fabulous job. They bring superior workmanship, a great attitude, and commitment to doing the best job possible. They're perfectionists, and it showed in the job that they did. The house looks great, Frank and his team are excellent house painters, and even better people. I highly recommend them if you want outstanding, reputable and trustworthy painters that you can rely on.
Description of Work: Stripped the house of peeling paint, fix all rotting woodwork and trim, replace some cedar shingles. Apply two coast of top quality Sherwin Williams paint to body and trim.

 + -1 moreIn 2005, we employed Frank to paint our house. It was time for the house to be painted again this spring (2015), and we were happy to employ Frank and his company once again. We were pleased with the communication between Frank and us. He promptly returns phone calls. He is quick to respond to questions or concerns. He and his crew were punctual and completed our job in a timely manner. They were professional and gave us running updates on how the painting was progressing. Frank is very meticulous about his work. He used quality materials in a craftsmanlike manner. As he worked on particular items, like rot on the pediment over the front door, he wanted us to understand what was going on and his remedies for problems he encountered. He wanted us to be pleased with the outcome of his work, which we were. We would highly recommend Frank Oliveira Painting and Carpentry.
Description of Work: Painted exterior. Did light carpentry to replace rotting wood. Replaced some ferrules and caulked gutters.

 + -1 moreMr. Oliveira came to my home on 5/2/2015. He was very nice and spent time with me going over the work I need done in my kitchen and laundry rooms. He was to give me an estimate on 5/4/2015. He called on 5/5 to state he was returning my call, with no mention of the estimate. I returned his call getting him on the third try, 5/7/2015. Mr. Oliveira had no idea who I was, but finally remembered after we spoke for a couple of minutes. He promised to call on 5/8 with the estimate. He has never called. So, while he responded to my initial call, came to the house, and did spend time going over everything with me, I was dropped from his radar almost immediately and as such cannot give a recommendation.
Description of Work: Nothing, really. He spent a good 45" at my home and never gave me the estimate.
