It went very well. They showed up on time, at 8AM, , and by 1:30PM, the whole job was done and the site cleaned up. There was a team of about 6 people, they seemed to work very well together. They were all pleasant, respectful, answered questions, and were generally helpful. I want to add that I did not get multiple estimates as to price. My belief, (and subsequent impression) was that Dave did a quality job, and whether he provided the best price or not, I'd rather have my roof expertly redone. His estimate was solidly in the ball park of what I expected, and only $800 more than I paid 22 years ago (and 22 years ago, they didn't blow in any insulation into the attic).

Quick response & visit to quote. Returned when promised, finished work in one day. Price was fair installation was simple but done right. Owner visited both times, seemed conscientious and professional.

The work was done in two days. They were neat and efficient. The original estimate was lower for the plain gutters, but then we decided (on our own) to get the ones with the covers on them so that was more expensive. They did a good job and the gutters are doing their job.

Scheduling took a bit longer than initially estimated, though this is understandable given uncertainty in weather conditions, etc. Job was done quickly and professionally, and responsiveness to questions/concerns was excellent. Good care was taken to protect plants, deck, etc. The new roof leaked in one spot during the first rain storm, but this issue was quickly resolved and so far no signs of continued leaking.

Most of the guys that came out gave us a base price and then said that they would have to adjust it for replacing decking and each piece would be x amount. He said we are going to give you new decking it will be this much. The major problem we had was the 5 month wait to hear back from him after the deposit. And when he did return the call he said it would be another month and ended up being two. They came in mid December when there was some snow on the ground. They finished the entire roof in two days, and we were impressed with the results. Unfortunately in the spring when the snow melted we were able to see that the yard was still littered with small shingle pieces, nails and wood. I am not saying that they did a horrible job cleaning up, and I am sure the snow inhibited cleanup, but even with the snow I think they could have done better. I want to stress that even though we had problems with the service we love the look and non-leaking of our new roof.

Dave came to look at our roof and some windows that we were thinking of replacing. He gave us his honest opinion (we still had some life left in the roof and should wait another winter for the windows). I appreciated that he did not try to sell us something we did not need.

I requested an estimate from Dave and had an appointment for Saturday the 15th. After receiving the free estimate, I decided to go with Dave for my roofing job. It was possible due to upcoming weather, jobs that were currently lined up and the severity of the damage to my roof that the job could be done two days later! The job was done on the 17th and was a excellent experience overall. The crew arrived on time, protected my landscaping, were very courteous, answered all my questions, were very thorough, and took the time to clean everything (including fallen nails). The entire job took only 7 hours! The new roof looks beautiful, and I know a professional job was done.

I had an excellent experience with Dave Miner. He arrived when scheduled to quote on the job and gave me a good price, and I had five contractors quote on this job.He was very professional. He and his crew arrived promptly to do the job and were very tidy when removing the old roof. They were very professional. They put all debris quickly into the dumpster and were very clean. They worked very hard and installed my roof in just one day! He also used quality materials. My husband researched the type of singles used and they are of high quality. The roof looks beautiful. I will be using Dave again to put up brick panels in my breezeway and replace my storm doors. I hightly recommend this contractor.

Everything was done like a Swiss clock. His employees which include his sons, started the work within the time period that he had proposed. They were polite and courteous. The work was done in 3 days, very efficiently and organized and the roof looks great. In addition, when they found minor things that needed fixing, like loose corner flashings they fixed them at no extra cost. They cleaned everything very well including the driveway and backyard. Dave came after the work was completed and made sure everything was done appropriately. Very professional.

Dave Miner was one of four contractors that we called to give us an estimate for a new roof on our house. Our call was returned within 30 minutes of leaving the first message and we were given an appointment to meet with Dave in the evening a few days later. Dave showed up on time, explained to us in detail the work he would do and the materials he would use. He gave us a detailed estimate on the spot. After getting estimates from three of the four contractors called, we decided to go with Dave due to the cost and the confidence he gave us that he knew what he was doing. Dave came to sign the contract in the first week of November. We were very concerned that we have a new roof on our house before winter set in. He explained that he had several jobs in front of us and was not able to give us a specific day that he would start our job. He did write into the contract that he would complete the job before the end of November and we proceeded with hiring Dave. Dave and his crew arrived on a Friday in the second week in November and completed about 90% of the job that day before dark. His crew returned promptly the next day to finish all but some cosmetic items before noon on Saturday. His crew returned to finish the cosmetic items a week later and the job was completed on time and on budget as Dave had committed to us in the contract. We are very happy with the way the roof looks, the professionalism of Dave, his wife (who answers the phone and schedules appointments) and his crew. His crew was very courteous, kept our yard clean and did great work.

We have a 90 year old Colonial with a fairly sizable, and somewhat complex roof. We shopped around for quotes before deciding to go with Dave. We received quotes from various contractors in the area ranging from $6,500-$13,000. With our first kid on the way in August, we were concerned about the timing, and wanted to try to avoid having the roof replaced with a newborn in the house. In spite of a month of rain between the time we gave our deposit and the time he said he'd get the job done, he hit his projected date on the nose. The work was done in two days (other contractors told us it would take a week or more...) and done well. His workers were friendly and willing to explain anything and everything I had questions about and left the yard exactly as they found it. I truly cannot say anything bad about my experience with Dave Miner Home Improvements and highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking for exterior work on their home. Thanks Dave!

Dave and his wife (on the phone) were a pleasure to work with. I was given an appointment for an estimate the first time I called. He was prompt and informative about what needed to be done and why. He referred me to and helped negotiate a reasonable price with an exterminator to get rid of the bees, wasps and hornets that were all around my house. My roof was completed in a very timely fashion. It looks great and I am very satisfied with the overall job.

Good experience overall. Crew came and finished the job in about six hours. Seemed very efficient, no one was standing around. Cleaned everything up when done. Only complaint is that the job got delayed and Dave was a little slow to return calls to update me on the situation.

Dave was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He returned my calls promptly, quickly provided an estimate and did the work on time. Dave was one of five contractors from whom I received quotes, and he seemed to have the best grasp of the specific needs for my house. He was personally on-site from start to finish, which was a real plus. He didn't try to sell me things I didn't need, and his work was high quality. Dave and his crew were on time, thorough, polite and left my house and yard neat as a pin. Also, Dave is down to earth and just a good guy to deal with. I highly recommend him.

Contacted this roofing contractor. Was impressed that he had an answering service, who courteously took our phone and contact information. Never heard back from the contractor. We did not follow-up, since we took it as a bad sign that the vendor was indifferent to new business.

Dave rarely returns calls - we flagged him down while he was doing a neighbors roof. He gave us an estimate. We asked for the roof to be stripped, although he (correctly) told us we could get a reshingling at half the price, and be just as well off. His crew was there bright and early, and had the entire job done in one-and-a-half days. They cleaned up after themselves. Dave gave us an "after-action report", confirming that we had water coming in to the attic in one spot, though the plywood was still sound. Overall, we're very happy with the service. Dave does work mainly on referrals and did not, at least when he did this job, want a second crew because he "wouldn't trust someone else to run it right", so his availability may be limited.
