Dave and his crew are very professional in all they do. They have roofed 2 homes for me over the last couple of years. They did what they said they would do on time and within estimate. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We bought our house 3+ years ago. Our roof had active leaks by a chimney and we had ice dams with evidence of past leaking in several places on exterior walls. The previous owner had re-roofed the front side of the house about 5 years ago (probably just to make it look good for selling) and had done a sub-par job. Dave gave us several prices - using different shingles and for doing the older parts of the roof and for doing the whole thing. We liked the idea of a warranty because we plan to stay here a long time. We decided to bite the bullet and get the whole thing done with the best shingles. It took several weeks for them to get to our house but there was lots of rain and I think it's important to be realistic about these things. Once they started it took most of two days for a crew of 8 - 10. They worked fast and everyone seemed to know what they were doing. The disruption was minimal. They cleaned up well. We didn't find any nails or debris afterward. Dave is a big personality - a tad rough around the edges and big-hearted. He knows his stuff about roofing. We were a little obsessed and got half a dozen bids - and his won out. It wasn't the lowest price or the smoothest pitch but it struck the right balance of quality and value (and the warranty was a big selling point for us). I was reminded to write this review this morning as I looked out the window and saw the icicles on my neighbors houses. There is not one icicle or ice dam on our house so far this winter. After having a leaky roof for 3 years it is a great feeling to have a roof that feels solid. It looks really nice too!

I first heard of Dave Miner when a friend of mine, who is in construction, had his roof done. He highly recommended Dave. I already had a few roofing estimates but decided one more would not hurt as I couldn't decide who to use. I looked him up on Angie's list and he had very good reviews. I asked Dave to come to my house for an estimate on my roof. He was pleasant and his pricing was fair as compared to other quotes I had received. He clearly explained my options and made a specific recommendations for my roof. He found ways to save me money on venting and strongly discouraged spending extra money on plywood as my roof really didn't need it. His recommendations saved me over $3000. I also desperately needed my chimney rebuilt. He looked at the quotes I had and recommended a mason he was very familiar with. He talked with the mason and was able to get the price down to what I could afford. Part of this deal was that I would tear down the chimney myself. Being new to this kind of work, Dave offered to come and help me. I was quite pleasantly surprised when Dave showed up for the chimney tear down. He brought a few extra guys and equipment with him. (Did I mention he didn't charge me at all for this help!) As I spoke with Dave, I did not get any feeling of him just seeing me as a job but more that he was partnering with me. He really seemed to want my roof done right and was willing to do what it took to see that it was. Example- finding ways to same money to fit my budget. I became confident he was a man of integrity, high standards, and would make sure that my roof was done right. It was an easy decision to use Dave Miner. When he came to do my roof, he brought plenty of guys and equipment. He supervised every aspect of the removal and installation of the new roof. The crew was pleasant and considerate- covering plants, moving outdoor furniture, watching for out for us as we entered/exited the house, etc. The only issue was the ground had been wet and one of his debris buggies got caught making some ruts in my lawn. Dave was quick to apologize, explain the cause, and offer to come fix that area of my lawn in the spring. I asked Dave about siding and a renovation on another part of my house. He discussed these projects and recommended ways to save money. He offered to do the work, help me get materials at below retail, or just educate me how to get the best end result doing it myself. He was very easily to talk with and really was interested in what I wanted to do. I have to say, the entire process start to finish made me feel very confident in the quality of the products and workmanship I received. I felt little stress throughout the entire process, if there was to be a problem I knew Dave would take care of it. This is quite unusual for me but welcomed. I look forward to hiring Dave for a future project. I highly recommend Dave minor.

We liked dealing with Dave directly. He took responsibility for the project and made sure that it happened as planned. He completed the work in a day plus a little as planned and left the yard and the house in good shape. I only put a B rating for the price because it was comparable to other quotes - not significantly better or worse.

Dave Miner did what he said he was going to do at the price that he quoted when we first met. When we started discussing a new roof he clearly presented various options and answered my questions. The work was started before the projected start date, and finished in a timely manner. The quality of the work seems very good and I've had no problems with the roof. If I should have a problem with the roof over the winter I have no reason to think that Dave wouldn't respond quickly to address the problem.

I met Dave at the home show. I got several estimates and Dave's was an excellent estimate. It took me a while to decide on what siding I wanted. Dave showed me a fairly new product that looks just like cedar shakes but is vinyl. It was exactly what I wanted. We discussed all the changes i wanted while they were working on the house including the replacement window, installation of a standard door in the back of the garage, closing useless windows in the attic crawl space. Once all the supplies were in and the weather cooperated they started. Two guys worked for two weeks. One wall had to be entirely rebuilt because of dry rot uncovered in the process. They braced the ceiling and took the entire wall out, replacing the sill and the upper stringer along with the wall studs. They finished the interior in a very professional way. Even added insulation. The house looks absolutely fabulous. I couldn't be happier. It is such a change from the previous old, painted aluminum siding that I smile every time I pull into the driveway.

Dave visited our home on 2 separate occasions, to explain our options and how the new roof would be installed. They came to work on the roof when they told us they would. The work was completed over 4 days: 2 half days, 1 full day, and 1 hour on a Saturday to replace the gutter. Dave and each of his workers were professional and courteous. They used 2 "buggies", or portable containers, to catch the old roof materials as they were removed from the house. Large tarps were also laid on the ground to protect the surrounding areas. The roof and gutter look great. We are very pleased with the job that was done to our home.

Dave was very responsive in performing an onsite review , he caught our vision then accurately priced and preformed all of the work we asked him to. When we talked schedule Dave was a little vague and I did have to followup to get him to commit to a start date. Dave was not the least expensive but I feel he provided good value and there were no extras. His crew was quite large and they attacked the project without interruption. The daily clean up was better than expected and Dave was on site for 95% of the work. I have the impression that Dave has built his company on reputation and he takes this very seriously. I would not hesitate to recommend Dave for a similar project and if need be I would hire him for a similar job.

I cannot thank Dave enough for all his hard work and the peace of mind he provided me with.I will highly recommend Dave to anyone.

Dave showed up on time. He was very through with explaining the job from removal of roof and siding to the clean-up and instillation of the new roof and siding. He spent quite a bit of time with us coming up with various options for how we wanted to side the house. We were unsure if we would like to use shake style siding on the front of the house vs traditional siding. We were concerned with the extra cost of the shake style - he did tell us that it would be a bit more in the front. We had received an estimate from another company who told us it would be over $2000 more for the shake style in the front. Dave uses the same product for his siding and told us it would be $800-1000 more - big difference. He then told us which mastic type of siding he prefers to use and why. With longer lengths available we could avoid having a lot of seams. He also uses a high quality level of mastic siding which we were pleased to here. Other companies have provided more expensive estimates using a lower quality mastic siding. Dave also was honest in his opinion of certain colors or combinations that from his experience just haven't looked right when done. He offered to bring over larger siding samples so that we could look at the color of the siding actually up on the house and in different lighting. He provided us with 3 different estimates for the roof - all which would be to code but with different installations. We felt he didn't mind spending the time to discuss our job. He provided clear estimates for our separate house and garage jobs. He provided us with a sample board from mastic of the different colors, pamphlets for the shake style siding he uses and pamphlets for the roofing material which he uses. All of which we have looked at over numerous times in the past couple of weeks in deciding which color combination we would like to go with. We have not signed an agreement with Dave yet but will be shortly. His price was very competitive and we were very pleased with his professionalism and knowledge of the work to be done.

It was a superb job. Dave arranged the operation on a Thursday and the following Monday, his team completed the entire job. They began work at around 8AM and completed it by around 6 PM. Dave sat down with us on that Thursday and went through a complete listing of everything associated with the roof that would be done. This included not only the work but insurance matters as well as technical details concerning his team and how they would be covered in case of an accident. Dave was very confident about the work to be done and rightly proud of his crew (including several members of his family) and anxious to inform us that he didn't do any sub-contracting-- all the work was done by his company. He gave us a discount for using Angie's List and pointed out a military discount for those who had served-- which allows us to receive a check for $250. I needed to consult with Dave's company and spoke to Sharon who was covering the office. She was excellent in getting back to me and arranging some of the paperwork that needed to be done. Dave and Sharon worked well with one another and were in constant touch. All in all, a fine job-- and we'll certainly recommend him to anyone who wishes to have his roof replaced.

Dave's office responded to my email on the same day, and an appointment was made for the next day. Our roof was leaking, so Dave worked us into his schedule right away. He and his very large crew completed the job in 1 day! They were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Dave took the time to explain things to us and answer all questions. They stripped the old roof, replaced the rotten plywood, added ventilation, and installed gutter guards. They did an exceptional job installing the new asphalt roof, and the cleanup afterwards was meticulous. We were very impressed and are very happy with our new roof. I would definitely hire them again, and highly recommend them. They receive an A+ for a great job done.

Dave and his team were completely professional. He explained the entire process throughout and was able to fix a problem that had stumped others for nearly a year. The roof looks great, and water no longer pools in the center of the flat roof over our addition.

The project went wonderful. Dave was great, took time to explain the details, was very knowledgeable and helped me choose the best system for my needs. He was on site overseeing most of the work and followed up promptly with phone calls. Scheduling was done within three weeks of signing contract. An exact date could not be determined in advance due to weather conditions and locations of other projects. The work was completed in 1.5 days. The crew was professional, polite and hardworking. They cleaned up all the debris and protected the landscaping. It was a very positive experience.

Dave laid out the job and the cost, what was wrong with our roof and the fact there was no ventilation. There were no surprises. The workers did a wonderful job. Dave, Jr was on the job as well as Dave's brother and they both were great. Our roof was a difficult roof to do, many curves and many bushes around the house. The crew protected the bushes and after the job was finished there was no debris left anywhere on the property. We were very pleased with the job.

Quality of work and professional attitude outstanding. Punctual. Crew of 10 or so was seasoned and included many family members. Answered questions during process. Owner stayed on site during most of the process directing and evaluating skylights and decking condition. Cleanup continued during & after job. Completed in one day as promised even after a 2 hour rain delay. Would certainly recommend and I would use again.

Work was done quickly and professionally in spite of some bad weather. Dave was easy to work with and not pushy as i found with some other company's I spoke with. Dave was not the cheapest but close. Some were much more expensive. Sometimes hard to reach but well worth it.

We had skylights that leaked, doors that were not square so they wouldn't close, windows that weren't square so they wouldn't close. Many calls, either a long time to get a response or no response. Never really satisfied with end product.

The roof looks great, the system they used to prevent ice dams works great. They used blown in insulation that is two - three feet thick and no other contractors will go into the attic until we shovel out a path for them. The most significant complaint that we have is that the flashing around the chimney leaks. I must say it leaked before they did the roof job and that is the main reason why we wanted this work done. He did send over a person the first summer that put a tarp around the chimney for about a month then he finally returned and put roof sealer all around the flashing. This worked for about a year then it started leaking again. I have left several messages with Dave but have not heard from him. I sent another email followed up with leaving a voice mail and still have not heard from him. He's very proud of his work but unfortunately doesn't back it up if you have a problem. After posting this review Dave contacted me and personally came out to resolve the problem. He reinstalled the flashing and I must say it looks much better now. Can't wait for the first heavy rainstorm to see the results. I would have rated him an A had this occured last year when the problems started and my ceiling wasn't damaged. I don't know much about roofing, but it looks good and it doesn't leak anymore. Once Dave got started on the job, it was done quickly and there was no mess left afterward.

Dave and his crew are among the BEST contractors we've ever hired - ever, ever, ever. Not only did his office respond to our email inquiry the very next day, but he showed up to give us a quote exactly when he was expected and his quote was extremely reasonable given the complexity of our roof. Then he showed up to do the work EARLY - who ever does that?? The job these guys did was exceptional - and the repair they made to an old leak damaged portion of our roof and rafter - it just looks so much better, probably better than it has in 100 years! The icing on the cake is that when the crew finished the job, there's not one shred of evidence that they have even been here - the place is immaculate - they cleaned up after themselves in a way that I have never seen before. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dave and his crew for any work you need done. Dave himself is a very nice guy and very practical in his suggestions. I never expected to leave such a glowing recommendation because I consider myself a pretty tough customer - but when you have your socks knocked off like I have you have to share the word. Dave Miner is an A++.

A pretty standard roofing job. Dave and his men did a great job. I have used them before on a commercial basis and they performed equally as well.
