They have been excellent. They do a very complete evaluation of what needs to be done. The owner is Rolf and he is great to work with. He is very friendly and listens very well. Sometimes you have to wait for them to be available. They are reliable, dependable, knowledgeable, and they clean up when they are done. We would highly recommend them and we would definitely hire them again.

I probably should have known better. From the very beginning Rolf was arrogant and unpleasant. We asked Tree Specialists to provide a quote for trimming the other half of a trim they were trimming for a neighbor, and removal of a tree that fell in our yard. They aggressively suggested additional work to a half dozen other trees, warning us those trees were certain to fall without their services. I've spoken to two additional tree companies at this point, neither of whom thought the additional work was necessary at all. Then, when removing the fallen tree they badly gauged my lawn and badly loosened a dead tree that had been firmly rooted and holding my hammock. When I called to complain they said they would fix things. They dropped 5 dollars worth of grass seed and walked away. When I called to say that was inadequate Rolf rudely told me that he was an expert and that my grass would grow perfectly from this "treatment". When pressed he admitted it would grow fine so long as I watered it once or twice daily! His solution to tearing up my lawn was to hand me a handful of seed and tell me to plant and water it. He was also incredibly rude and condescending. Between the upselling, the poor quality of the work, and the rudeness I wouldn't recommend this outfit to anyone under any circumstances. Life is too short to work with unpleasant people.

It was all well done, The price was competitive.

Rolf walked the grounds with me - very educational! - and explained what needed pruning, thinning, shaping, even cable re-enforcing. He provided a prompt estimate with drawings. I signed a contract via email and the work was quickly scheduled (to be done in 2 parts depending on growing season) and performed perfectly. There were 124 trees in this job and they had not been attended to for 5 years!

Very well. Suggestions of trimming, cabling, removing were put into understandable estimate. I hired them!

I've been using them for a long time.

We have many beautiful ornamental trees in our yard that had not been professionally maintained in quite a few years. I felt it was important to hire an arborist - not a landscaper - to evaluate their health and bring them back to their full beauty. Rolf walked the property and we discussed what I wanted to accomplish. He also pointed out several things I hadn't noticed or thought of. Rolf's knowledge and expertise were immediately apparent. I was concerned that adding the additional work would force me to split the work into "must have" to be done now and "nice to have" that would be done later, but his estimate was very reasonable so everything was scheduled at once. The crew was very professional and knowledgeable and did a fantastic job from start to finish. I will definitely use Tree Specialists again and highly recommend them.

We had a large tree down in our yard after a Friday storm. We called Rolf on Saturday and he came by the same day to see the tree. While there he also walked our property and advised us on the care of the other trees on the property. We did not need to tree removed the same day. It had not landed on the house, and we had access to our driveway, so clean up was scheduled for the following Monday. The crew arrived by 8 o'clock Monday morning. They cleaned up the fallen tree and cut down the remaining portion of the tree that was still standing. The crew was courteous, professional and hard working. The work was done in a few hours and the site was well cleaned up. We plan to continue to use Tree Specialists to help with the ongoing care of our trees as wells as removal of a few additional trees that are in ill health.

They came here when they said they would, and sprayed the tree with a PHC systemic bark application, which took 30-40 minutes. Rolf, the owner, knows my trees and recommends periodic pruning or other treatments to keep them healthy. He's very knowledgeable as a certified arborist and is vigilant in calling me every year for a check-up. He's taken a special liking to my very old (about 250-300 yrs. old) white oak tree.

The workers came out on the date we had agreed upon, were quick, left an invoice with me. Rolf, the owner, is a certified arborist who is very knowledgeable about trees and plants and articulates his knowledge well. He has taken a liking to my old (250-300 yr. old) white oak tree and is vigilant about calling every year to suggest ways to keep my trees healthy.

He is an arborist and really educated us about the trees and vegetation on our property. We then sat down and made a long term plan that will we will be able to do over time within our budget. By design they leave the good things on your property so that everything works together.

When we bought our home, we knew the large maple tree in the back corner of the yard needed 'work' so we call Tree Specialists at our neighbor's suggestion. Rolf Briggs came out to do the assessment and walked us through his recommendations and answered all of our questions. The location of the tree required that the crew needed access to 3 of our neighbors yards so the office staff gave us plenty of notice when scheduling the appointment. The day of the trimming/cabling, the crew (Tim and Dan) showed up on time, carefully assessed the logistics and set about the task of correcting 40 years of neglect. Tim and Dan obviously knew their business and did a beautiful job at trimming the tree as well as removing all traces of their work from all of the yards involved in the process. When it was all said and done, the tree looked healthy and vital and it's a relief to have the branches away from the house - especially with winter coming. In all of my encounters, from the owner to the office staff to the field crew, these folks know what they are doing and have a genuine affinity for the services they provide.

I've worked with them for quite a few years, and they are pros at what they do! They're great at their clean up and I'd highly recommend their quality work.

The folks at Tree Specialists came with professional expertise and equipment exactly on time and lived up to all their promises. They sized their crew to the job so the work was done on time. When done, the clean-up was total. I wont hesitate to use them again.

They are a little pricey for bringing down an old tree, but they are very good and very professional. We have used them for several years. They are tree arborists and when you have some flowering trees, you want the work done by a professional. They did a good job, and they will prune again this winter, because of the growth. They are professional, I trust them and the fellow who runs it, is a well trained arborist. They do work around town and they are a known entity. Somebody comes out to look at what you are inquiring about within a short time of you calling them.

Once my tree had fallen, I called a number of tree services to get estimates and find out what could be done to save the tree. Tree Specialists responded quickly and the owner, Rolf, came out to assess the situation. He told me that the tree could be restored to its original position, and he reassured me that the job could wait until the next week because he had so much emergency storm damage to deal with at that time. Though I was uneasy seeing my beautiful tree tipped to the side, he reminded me that the roots were covered with landscape cloth and bark mulch, the roots were still mostly in the ground, and this tree would indeed survive the trauma. The two men came the following week, the day before the next wind/rain storm. They were polite, cooperative, and personable throughout the job. They worked continuously exerting 100% effort to pull the tree to an upright position using ropes with pulleys and a come-along (I believe these are the correct terms). During various stages of the process, they consulted one another to determine which method would be the appropriate one to fix the problem. They truly were a team that worked very well together. The men were grateful that I was interested in saving the tree as opposed to cutting it down, and they worked hard using their strength and the tools to make that happen. If I asked questions, they responded in terms I could understand. While one man pruned, the other one checked out the tree from a distance to help select the branches that needed to be removed. They were careful to take away all the branches they cut down so my yard was left in a neat condition. This company provided me with an awesome experience, and I would be very happy to call on them again if I need tree services. Thanks for the great job!

The quality of the work was excellent. Thew crew were all very knowledgeable and worked efficiently. The price for the work was also very fair. We will use them again when needed.

The Tree Specialists always arrive on site with extreme punctuality ready to get out of their trucks and work. I am the facilities coordinator at a public botanic garden so when the topic of removing trees arises we approach it with the utmost care and precision so as not to damage any of the colletion. This is why we chose the Tree Specialist to come to the property to complete the work. The combination of a very knowledgeable staff and top of the line equipment allows them to complete any job fast and efficiently while working within the parameters the client has set out. We had customized our services with them during the estimation and they followed through to a T. During the work the crew leader periodically checked in when on-site calls about where to drop a cetain trunk arose. This emmitted a sense of professionalism and consideration for the clients needs that I'm not sure other companies offer. The crew was given instructuions by the estimator as to what and how to deal with each tree and area it was in. Again they followed through completely checking in along the way to ensure we were happy. I would recommend the Tree Specialists to anyone who desires to have highly trained arborists complete a job in an efficient, clean, and professional manner.

We had a number of large, old trees on our property, some of which were starting to interfere with electrical wires and/or overhanging the roof of the house. Large branches were starting to come down in storms, and we wanted to remove any branches that would cause damage to the house. We also wanted to maintain the health of the trees. We called the Tree Specialists on the recommendations of neighbors, to ask for advice. Rolf came out when scheduled and recommended the work that he thought needed to be done to preserve the health and safety of the trees and house, and provided a written estimate for the work on each tree (which we found to be very helpful, since we knew how much it would cost on a tree-by-tree basis if we decided to do some of the work immediately and to put off other work) . We can't judge how the cost compared to other companies; I called one other company to try to arrange for an estimate and they never responded, so we had no basis for comparison, but the Tree Specialists' estimate seemed fair (and they came highly recommended). When we decided to proceed with the recommended work, Rolf and his crew came when scheduled, worked with the electric company to turn off electricity while trimming branches near electrical wires, got the work done and cleaned up everything. We were very pleased with our experience overall.

Gave us a competitive estimate and detailed timeline of completion. Came and performed the work.

Overall it went very well. They were here during a weekday when, by chance, my wife was home.They trimmed what was needed and removed the Maple, which was very close to the house and was in a tough spot because we have a very shallow back yard. They cleaned up everything and removed all material. No ruts in the yard, no damage to flowers. Pruning and trimming included Rhododendrun and crabapple trees as well as oaks and maples.

So far we have used them once, but plan to continue service. We chose them because they are very knowledgable.

We had good work from them last year, but this year they aren't performing as well. When they come, they seem to know their business but it's a matter of getting them out here to do the work. We'd consider using them again if they could guarantee regular performance.
