They were courteous and friendly throughout and took the time to explain what they were doing, answer all our questions and make suggestions for better performance from the system. We have always had superior experiences with Nicholson HVAC - both installation and ongoing maintenance. The peace of mind is well worth the slightly higher cost. We never hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

Nicholson came and repaired our AC which was gathering and leaking condensation in the attic. Very knowledgeable and personable team. I highly recommend them.

After receiving three quotes to replace the furnace and inefficient A/C unit, we selected Nicholson and went with Carrier equipment. The installation process was a little chaotic, since the system that was quoted & delivered was actually not matched well to the existing duct work. To their credit, the installation team recognized this and suggested downsizing the furnace and a/c unit, first checking that the smaller capacity units would still be adequate for the space we needed heated and cooled. Nicholson office figured out how to have the new parts delivered to the site quickly so that the installers didn't have to leave and come back another day. Phew. The installation was done over the course of 2 days and for the most part seemed well done. The work site was clean but it looked like the holes drilled for vents were done in a hurry and not as carefully as if the installer were working on his own home (that's my gauge). A few hours after the installers finished up and headed out, there was water accumulating on the basement floor. It turned out to be a faulty condensate pump, which had to be replaced the next day. Repair guy Nicholson sent was great and was done with the replacement in 20 minutes. Relatively little hassle there. Mike Nicholson took my call a couple days later and we settled on a reimbursement to cover the price difference between the quoted system and the lower capacity units that were actually installed. Check arrived a few days later. And we're happy with the new high-efficiency system - it's much quieter than the old furnace and heats the home more evenly, too. Wrapping up...this wasn't the smoothest project we've been through as homeowners, but the work was done pretty well (A minus or B plus) and the price was substantially lower than one of the other quotes we received for similar equipment. Reviews we had read on Angie's List were pretty much on the mark for this contractor.

Called for two days and got the appointment scheduled for one week later. The day before the appointment, I received a call that they cancelled my appointment because they have too many other jobs and others are more important, such as no heat. I told them I have no heat issue too, but could not hold this appointment and did not even offered any reschedule. Waste for a whole week and will never call this company again.

It went very well. Julia in Dispatch was very professional and handled our reschedule request quickly and efficiently. Corey was able to respond on short notice and was excellent to work with.

Jeff was great-explained the issue clearly, set up thermostat properly, explained what he was doing and why-slowly enough for me to take notes. No charge as part of the system set up. Thank you Jeff!

The work was done quickly and professionally. We now have an ongoing service contract and are happy with their responsiveness.

Quick review and quite for whole-house filter if I decide it's needed. (We will wait a couple of weeks to determine, as recommended.)

We had a leak in our ceiling from a broken pipe (seam) and called at 6am. By 10am it was fixed. One price, flat fee no matter how long it took. We couldn't be happier with the professionalism, promptness and results! Highly recommend!

Needed a thermostat replaced quickly in the humid weather. Nicholson was the first place to respond same day. Ian called when he was about 35 minutes out and asked if the time was still ok. The arrival time was well within the window I had been given that morning. Ian was pleasant, professional, and informative. He explained the job and even reminded me that I had a coupon on the fridge. Thanks to Ian and Nicholson, I was without AC for less than 1/2 a day. I would highly recommend this provider again.

I needed a new toilet. One was order and received a phone call when it came in. Tech was professional and left the room the same way he found it.

Problem was fixed. Plumber was very competent and professional.

We had a faucet whose pipe was leaking. Rob was quick with the diagnosis of the problem. He attempted to replace the source of the leak and soon identified more problems with the faucet. The faucet needed to be replaced. The part was under warranty and we really appreciate the extra effort he took to work with the manufacturer (over multiple days including weekend days) to order all the parts. The job was completed nicely and efficiently. We were also properly guided by him through the Angie's List coupon redeeming process, and the price for this work turned out to be a truly good deal. While the technician was excellent, from the company's responsiveness point of view, it was a little tough to work with the scheduling department to set up appointments, and I needed to make many phone calls to reach an actual scheduler (while the answering service typically promises a call back within 30 minutes, I have had to wait more than 1 day to speak to a person who can schedule an appointment).

Very well. Nicholson's crew did a great job of explaining what I needed o know to make a decision. Very professional. Didn't try to sell me anything, but just gave me the facts and left it to me to decide.

Very happy with start to finish. Great communication from scheduling. Phone call from Bill as to his arrival time. Neat and thorough job. Explained everything. Will use again!

Service went well without a hitch. They were able to perform service next business day from quote. Only downside is you pay for this good service - price is not cheap.

Francis was very personable and professional. He explained things in detail. Took the time to thoroughly explain answers to my questions. Showed me how calculations for replacement equipment evolved. He gave me 4 options for my central air replacement and explained features of each. No pressure the final decision was mine. I have already recommended this company to others

The technician named Jimmy called to say he was ahead of schedule, which worked for me as well. He was polite, wore booties so that my carpets did not get dirty and explained exactly what he was doing. Great work

They did a good job. They also looked into other plumbing and heating issues. They didn’t try to upsale me; overall, very professional.
