Response from Nicholson Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning Inc
Hi [member name removed], Thank you for taking my call and speaking with me about your concerns. I am glad to hear that after our conversation you would consider using us again. As I had mentioned we do have a 100% satisfaction guarantee and would have been more than happy to return to your home at no charge had we know about your dissatisfaction. Since you were not home while our technician was servicing your air conditioning it made it difficult for us to explain the details of your system and diagnostic results to you. As you know we tried to reach you by phone. In addition it is important to clarify this since you mentioned it. The cost of the repair was actually $323, not $445 which you stated above. The technician presented the price to whomever was home before we proceeded with the repair, and they approved it. Had they not approved it we certainly would not have proceeded with it. That is the benefit of our pricing structure, we are able to provide our customers with the total cost of repairs up-front before we begin any work, and the price never changes no matter how long the job takes. This is a very different concept from charging a labor rate by the hour, then adding materials costs in which case customers don’t know the total cost of the repair until the technician is done with the job. We don’t feel it is fair to present a price to customers after we finished the work. Our approach is to provide the price first, get customers approval, and then proceed with the work. I appreciate your willingness to give us another try, as we look forward to servicing your future HVAC needs. Thank you again for taking my call earlier. Sincerely, Alexandra Kyriakakis Dir. of Operations
