Richard did great job with water heater installation. The team made sure all the faucets had hot water after the installation was done and he even fixed one of the sink that was not draining well. Will contact them again for future plumbing needs. Highly recommended!

Andre Felix and Joe, a Brazilian team that took pride of their work and performed a terrific HVAC install work in our home. They were very respectful to my wife and kids, even to our dog Bella praising her with a treat. They showed up on time every morning, worked hard non stop and the result is just amazing. I don't usually put a lot of work review out but this time i have to share what a splendid work those 2 guys did. Last couple of days Andre brought a new crew member, Sir. Roberto who followed Andre's orders pretty good and I am sure he will be as good as Andre and Joe in a short period of time no doubt. I have to Thank Nicholson Plumbing for their take in give me top notch customer service, definitely a great value for the investment we made. Extremely expensive. Tech stated that they would normally charge $500+ for a flush valve, flapper and 2 tank bolts but would only charge me $149. Actual cost of these items in a hardware store is $15. Replacement of the valve, main reason for call, was another $450. Outrageous.

It was the day before Thanksgiving that we woke up to a "no-heat" situation. We called the original installer who failed to return our emergency call and again 2 days later. I was able to reset the boiler and got heat but discovered a water leak that I've since learned is not uncommon in this gas-fired high efficiency boiler (Buderus GB142), which, of course was 1 year out of warranty. I consulted Angie's List which showed Nicholson P H and AC as a Super Service Award winner for 8 straight years. I called, spoke with Amanda who quickly scheduled a diagnostic appointment within a reasonably short time. When Jeff arrived he gave me the bad news about this boiler's problem (resembled a cracked engine block on a car). I asked for an estimate on an exact replacement which he provided on the spot but recommended against. Overnight I thought better about Jeff's comments and throwing good money after bad, then asked for another proposal (Bosch Greenstar 151) which I received personally from Ian, who patiently answered all my many questions. After scheduling the work, Ian dropped off 5 space heaters (after hours on a Friday night!) at no cost in the event we lost heat before the install dates. On the first day of installation, Wayne and his assistant Brian built out the plumbing separately first so that we would have heat overnight before the final hook-ups. They did a very clean and simple layout as you can see in the photo attached and left the work area cleaner than when they arrived. Within a couple of days after completion, they even sent me a check for a coupon discount and parts they ultimately didn't need. Everyone I dealt with including office staff (Amanda and Giselle) returned calls, met scheduled times, was patient, knowledgeable and professional. You'll understand then why I have given this contractor 5 stars!

The entire process from the initial consultation to the final installation, was great. The sales rep was always willing to answer any question, and was easy to contact. I have a complex design, and I was made comfortable that my vision could be met. I was walked through the entire process, and this included applying for Mass Save rebates and HEAT Loan (which the team at Nicholson basically took care of for me). On the first day of the install, the technicians explained the process, designed the system, and sat down to discuss their plans and made sure I was ok with what was designed. The entire install took six days, and with the exception of the first day I wasn't home, and I was completely comfortable leaving the house open for them to complete their work. The house was left clean everyday, and if any questions came up, they would immediately contact me. When the install was complete, a walk through was done to make sure I was ok with the final product, and the technicians provided a tutorial on how to use the system. Finally, the price for the install was thousands of dollars less than other local companies for the same system. I highly recommend Nicholson.

Update: With Lauren and Amanda's help, we got our city inspections done and received the rebate yesterday. I greatly appreciate how responsive they are, and how professionally and efficiently they handled the situation. They made me feel understood and respected, and their work ethic really matches with most technicians we've worked with last summer. Even though I am still disappointed with the one technician who came out for the inspection this year for his poor attitude and passive aggressiveness, (I had trouble with him last year and had mentioned in my last review), I believe it is one isolated instance. He may just have issues with me, and is totally fine and polite with other customers.

The work was done in the summer of 2018, and I was going to give an A rating. HOWEVER, they had a huge staff change. The person who was super responsive, Kaja, suddenly left. We called so many times to arrange city inspection and request our rebate of $400. They always said that someone was going to call, and never called. Now ONE YEAR LATER, I called again and left a message in the morning. NO ONE called for a whole day. I am utterly disappointed with the professionalism of this company, and I cannot believe I cannot reach anyone for this. So now we still have not got our city inspection yet, after a YEAR! We still have not got the rebate. During the project, two people were super professional. But there was one guy who was going through some personal issues and was super grumpy. I had to put up with his attitude, and the mess he left behind. If I don't hear back from this company, I'll have to report them to BBB. Who has the time to chase after them and waiting patiently for them to replay - for a YEAR!

The work performed was good. The service and pricing were extremely disappointing. First off, I had a different technician from this company come out a month ago to do work on our shower. I asked him if he wouldn't mind snaking the shower drain as it was very slow to drain. He did so at no charge. For this job I am reviewing, I asked the technician to please snake the pipes while the p-trap was off. He informed me that the charge simply to snake it would be $302.44! I voiced my concern at such a high price. His reply was that "it's a messy job & we'd have to put down dropcloths..." Yes, he actually said this! As the work progressed and the charges increased, he "graciously" said he would discount snaking the drain by $100. The final invoice reads: MINOR LAV DRAIN STOPPAGE: Snake lavatory drain up to 25 feet to clear stoppage. Gave $100 discount for drain snake while trap was removed. $302.44 [reduced to] $205.66 While I was reluctantly signing the final bill, I mentioned there was no charge on the previous job for taking the 10 minutes to snake the drain & I was totally ignored. The technician made no comment at all. Clean up afterwards was poor as well. The technician mentioned how I would probably want to vacuum the floor. He also left his water bottle in the sink. I was certainly gouged on the price for this job and they've lost a customer. On a side note, the new p-trap they said I needed to replace the new one I purchased from a plumber yesterday (plus installation) was $440. I am giving a "C" rating for punctuality because the arrival window was 10AM to 1PM and they were 30 minutes early, at 9:30AM.

!Upon arrival, a preliminary evaluation was made based on the info we provided regarding the problem. Very efficiently and quickly, the professional but friendly agent performed the replacement of the required toilet valve mechanism. After checking all was in working order, I was pleased to receive a senior discount on the total cost! We have had other companies that have never taken that into account.. I would definitely recommend Nicholson to friends and neighbors.

Technician John and Roberto came to my house on time. They did the job smoothly and explained basic maintenance work. Nicholson did replaced our furnace in 2012 and he did fantastic work so that's why we hired them again. The company has been growing fast and I am glad they keep good work as before.
