Tyler was on time and very curtious. He walked me through what the possibilities were and the costs of each one. I thought he was great about showing me exactly what was wrong and explaining how it was to be fixed. I felt very comfortable and at ease having Tyler in my home. He was exceptional and if I needed plumbing done again I would be sure to contact your company and ask for him.

I had used this co's services twice before. The work was done. When I called last Wednesday early morning for help with what I found an urgent matter(my water emptying onto my cellar floor=drainage block)I was told by the woman answering phone that I would not receive service until the following Monday as "We have a big job that requires our 3 technicians". I asked that Michael call me to discuss my situation. I would be at work, available on that # or my cell. I received a message at 5:30 PM from Michael who said he'd called my home,my work and my cell. I'd received no messages on cell or work #'s. Michael asked that I return his call and leave a message which I did by 6 PM. The next day I called again in the late morning or early afternoon,asked to speak with Michael. I asked him about my description of my problem but he said,"Oh I don't listen to the messages. " I reminded him he'd asked that I call and leave msg. When I described problem and told him it was same situation he'd dealt with in past I asked when someone could come to our home. "Oh, I don't know that. You need to speak with AnnMarie." I told him about Monday as proposed time and again he said I would need to speak with AnnMarie. I find Michael unprofessional. His is a new business and too new for his adopting the attitude he has. I will not use Nicholson Plumbing again.

Johnny arrived on time on both days required to complete the job. He remarkably set up a tent to enable him to proceed on schedule on a stormy day. He went over all possible options and costs and advised me objectively on how to proceed. I appreciated his professionalism and expertise.

It was expensive. In fact, I think they overcharged. I think it was about $1000. There was another part to the job that they wanted to do with the pump for my well. I got a price from Nicholson and I got a price from the actual well company that actually did the work. The well company's price was much better. I don't think Nicholson was a good deal. I think they misrepresented the amount of the work.

Nicholson was absolutely fabulous. On a cold February morning, my ancient furnace broke. I called Nicholson and they sent someone to diagnose the problem that day. It was decided it made there most sense to replace the entire unit with a new energy efficient boiler and an indirect water heater. All of the costs and options were clearly explained and Nicholson even provided me with the correct form for a tax rebate. They answered all of my questions, worked around my schedule and even coordinated with my preferred company to install the required chimney liner. The work was completed over 3 days. They were prompt, professional, polite and tidy. They thoughtfully supplied several space heaters to keep my home comfortable during the install. I cannot say enough good things about this company. I love that it is family-owned and local. I highly recommend Nicholson.

The work they did was fine but the final charge was exorbitant. They have a base rate that they charge per job and the Big Deal didn't even cover that.

They were called as we were not getting hot water. Technician said he started the water heater but we did not get hot water so I called them again. Not only I had to call and argue with the receptionist to get another appointment, but they took a week to come out. Then, before they would do anything, they wanted another $50 for a trip! When the technician spoke to my husband on the second visit, my husband discovered that he had started the two gas hot water heaters without checking if they were working, and did NOT make sure that there was no gas leak! The technician said that the check was "an option". For $185, he just turned on the pilot flame on two heaters and left!

Nicholson's was very responsive and thorough in explaining what they needed to do. They were true to their word and followed up often in terms of next steps. They were timely in their service and items were fixed as promised. We were very pleased with their service people and their work. We recommend them highly.

Came out before promised. I have an elderly parent who couldn't take the extreme heat that day and they came out quickly, even though I was not an existing customer. The service technician was professional and knowledgable. I would use them again.

I needed a plumber to install a pedestal sink and kitchen faucet. After contacting several plumbers, with no response, it was refreshing to receive a friendly call-back from Jessica at Nicholson plumbing within 30 minutes of my phone call. To make sure there would be no unexpected issues with the installation, Jessica scheduled a pre-assessment appointment with Tyler in the next couple of days. Tyler arrived early and quickly assessed that the installation would be trouble-free and gave me a time estimate for the project. On the day of the installation Tyler arrived with another technician so that he could complete the installation more quickly. Co-worker Brandon worked on the kitchen faucet installation while Tyler installed the new pedestal sink. Both installations were flawlessly completed in half the time! The cost was a little more than I expected, but the service they provided was well worth the price. I will definitely contact Nicholson plumbing again for my future plumbing needs.

They were extremely professional and plesant but they had a pick and choose way of doing things. He highlighted very expensive options. When he came in he made me sign for a $55.00 charge for whatever was done and that they would refund it if they were hired. Then he presented me with the options. The most basic option which would not have solved the problem was $149. I asked if I could write the prices down and he said no. It was $445.00 for what it would have actually taken to fix the issue. I managed to get it done for $119.00 on the same day, by someone else.

Very unhappy! You do get preventative services with the plan but I don't believe if you haven't gotten those benefits that canceling should require such a hefty fee.

It was excellent; he explained everything, and very quick in getting it done.

We contacted Nicholson for the above repairs and they gave us a date and time that fit our schedule. Their plumber, Tyler, arrived on time and proceeded to inform me of our options and the associated cost. He was very professional and courteous. We settled on a rebuild versus replacement of the entire toilet and replacemnt of the shut-off valve. He proceeded to work right away. It was obvious he knew what he was doing (an issue we had with our last plumbing contractor) and completed the job in no time. Tyler was very pleasant to deal with and we chatted about a variety of topics throughout the process. We discussed the option of a service contract which I usually balk at but it removed 10% off the bill so I went for it. It included preferred service and an annual inspection of our plumbibng system for $9.50 a month. I felt confident about Nicholson returning to do work for us, especially Tyler, he's relatively young but has been involved in plumbing since he was 15 ! and his experience shows.

Steve came out initially to perform maintenance to my Buderus gas heating system for the first time since moving in to the house. It was in rough shape since it appeared to have been minimally maintained at needed some TLC. Steve is an expert at this system, (lucky for me!), and quickly diagnosed and proposed several ways and price points to address the system. We went with the complete cleaning as well as replacing a failing circulator and zone valve. Steve returned just a few days later when the parts were in and spent a lot of time explaining what he did, as well as pointing out some other steps to take to increase efficiency through out the heating system. I had a great experience with this company including the office staff. I highly recommend Steve for your gas boiler service.

Nothing happened I live outside his work area.

All repairs/replacements weren't quick fixes so all services came with options with estimates based on how much we wanted to spend from premium repair to a cheaper bandaid. We also saved $$ by joining the preferred customer program. Ann Marie, Jessica, and Alexandra are all professional and very nice when calling in to report a service call. I've never had a bad experience with any staff at Nicholson plumbing! Highly recommended!

He (Johney) knew what he was doing. He basically started all over again in regards to the wiring. Plain and simple, he fixed it and it has been working excellant. It has been a tough winter and I really need the humidifer, especaily during the snow storms and when it gets really cold. thank you, bill hobin disabled veteran,usa

I called Nicholson and they answered the phone right away. They informed me that they could come to my house for a fee ($55) and provide an estimate for the services I wanted. I accepted. On the day of the estimate, they called because they were running early, and wanted to see if I could accommodate them. So that was also very nice. The worker used booties to protect our floor, which was much appreciated. The worker glanced at our set-up (nothing out of the ordinary) and pulled out the price book. Then things started to go a little sour. First, they could have quoted their standard prices over the phone (like the plumber I actually ended up using did). It's not like they wing it; they have a nice book filled with prices. They could simply have said on the phone, "These are our standard prices, but if your situation is different than you describe there may be additional charges, and we will let you know after we arrive but before starting work." The worker also promoted a "value plan" that involves a monthly charge, which I wasn't interested in. The price for providing and installing a toilet was $842 on the "value plan" (I'm not sure of the standard price because their quote appears to contain an error). The plumber I actually used charged about $620 for the same model. The standard price for providing and installing two generic Moen faucets was $586, or $265 for installation-only if we wanted to provide our own faucets. That was almost double the amount that our eventual plumber charged ($135). Other problems: * The $55 up-front charge would be applied to any work we had done, however, it was good for only 24 hours. I don't recall if I was told that on the phone originally, but I did not appreciate that sort of pressure tactic. * The plumber told me that I didn't need to worry about any stains under the old faucets (we have dark cultured marble counters), so that the smaller size of the Moen faucet base plates shouldn't be an issue. As it turns out, the area under our base plates was very badly faded, and I can't imagine that faucets with small base plates would have worked out. So all-in-all, I'm not happy with Nicholson's sales tactics, nor impressed with their pricing. I saved more than $350 on this small job by going with a different plumber (ignoring the sunk cost of $55), and if I had used one of their Moen faucets we'd probably be miserable about how the countertops looked. kj

They did a good job fixing the problem. The cost was higher than I expected. Scheduling was satisfactory and they responded to me in a reasonable time. They were punctual and logical. They did had to go back to the store a few times for parts but they did stick with it. There was one technician here doing the work and it took more than half the day to get everything complete. The problem with price is once they go to the book to see how much it should cost, you know you will get a high quote. Beware of the pre-print price book.

I called at 7am on a Sunday, and by 7:30am Mike was at my house. He figured out quickly the cause of my furnace issue...condensate turning to ice and blocking my condensate drain, which then causes the furnace fan to shut off. Nicholson P&H installed the unit last Summer, and that installation went very well (timing, price, cleanliness.) Because the unit was recently installed, and because they care very much about customer service, I wasn't charged for the service call and hours of work necessary today to get it up and running ahead of the cold snap coming. I also had Nicholson P&H install a tankless water system ~2 years ago, and had a similarly great experience.

I bought a Sears dishwasher. I didn't realize they did not offer installation. I will never buy another Appliance from Sears. There was a scheduling conflict with my usual plumber so I thought I would try Nicholson. The charge was $35 more than my usual plumber but they did a fabulous job. I would highly recommend them.
