Tech said filter was dirty and not sized properly. Nicholson was supposed to change this filter in October. I don't think it happened but will give benefit of doubt for this but the filter was jammed in there. Crumpled on one side. Not acceptable. Then tech tries to tell me that ducts are undersized and I should change all my duct work. Really, what a joke. These guys will never be allowed back in my house.

Extremely overpriced for 30 minute visit. Two technicians were assigned to job; apprentice performed work while senior member of team chatted with me and completed paperwork.

I called to have someone replace my kitchen faucet. I was told there is a minimum $55 charge, which I agreed to since I could apply it towards the job. They would not give me a price range for this service over the phone. I had bought my own faucet. Once the plumber arrived, he told me it would be $500 to switch a traditional kitchen faucet! I couldn't believe the price. He said it was a quick job of less than an hour so I still do not understand why it was so costly. They have done other jobs for me in the past but I don't recall this tactic of charging me $55 just to provide me a quote which then turned out to be way out of line.

He was very responsive, very prompted, very professional, I really liked him a lot, a very personable person who you want to trust, their office staff was outstanding, very communicative, very friendly.

The plumber arrived on time, explained very well what had to be done, then proceeded with his work. Everything went well, and I'm very happy with the quality. I found the price I had to pay on the high side. However, this is the case with all plumbers.

Bought advertised big deal for $99 to have bathroom faucet installed. When I called to book the service they told me there would be a $55 additional service fee for them to come quote the job. This should be clearly noted in the offer. Called and requested refund. So sketchy to have undisclosed fees.

Very bad experience. Not professional at all.

It went good. I was a little surprised by a few things. 1st there was a 75 dollar fee to diagnose the problem. I was OK with paying it an assumed it would then apply to any work that would be done. In my case i had a simple fix and then was given a minimum charge fee of an additional 75 dollars for a total minimum charge of $149.99. I had purchased a Angies list deal for $100 dollars for $145 dollars worth of work but was told I could not use it for these services and I would have to return it to Angies List. I then got a magnet with a $35 dollar off my next service. It was not a bad experience as I was expecting a much bigger problem but it was defiantly very weird how it was $75, then $145, then could not use my deal, and then got a magnet for $35 off that I also could not use. I had used Nicolson's in the past for an emergency service and they were very good, but figured i would share this feedback to help set proper expectations.

Nicholson did a great job: responsive, on time, knowledgeable, professional, clean, high-quality materials, all for a reasonable price. When I asked them to add extra support to the compressor platform, they came back and did it at no charge.

Not well. Let me I say that Bill was great. He was the one that gave me the original estimate. Wayne a plumber that had started a few weeks before was there as well. Bill stated it would take 2 senior plumbers and 10 hrs to complete work. Bill was going on vacation so Wayne came back the following week. Unfortunately Wayne came with an apprentice. I asked the office for a reduction in the cost since I did not have to senior plumbers and the office manager denied my request. The work was rushed and Wayne completed in 7 hrs. He did not replace the strainers in the sink and broke the tisls on the bathroom floor around the toilet and left dirt in the bathtub . I cleaned that up because he said he didn't cause it?? I contacted the owner and the next week he called me. He tried to defend his position that the cost is the same whether you get 2 plumbers or an apprentice and it didn't matter how long the job took. There was a big hole left under the sink which should have been closed and he said he would send bill back to move the toilet and cover the tiles and give me back 600 if I let everything else go. He said the strainers couldn't be replaced too risky. Bill came send apologized. He said he would cover the hole replace the strainers and cover the broken tiles. He did everything yo perfection and I received a 585.00 credit. If bill was my plumber I would recommend this company. The owner was too defensive and would not agree to my position that a newly hired plumber that did not follow the senior plumbers directions and a apprentice should cost the same. I disagree .

Excellent. Rick S. Was very kind, courteous and respectful. He cleaned and service my heating system and hot water and walked me through all the plumbing in the house. I asked a lot of questions and he was more than happy to answer them and made sure I was well informed. Would ask for him in the future.

Overall I am very satisfied with Nicholson. This was not an easy process but of the several vendors I spoke with they had the most knowledge and was very open and honest. I had other vendors telling me they could do things that would have voided my warranty and not of been as good for me in the long run but Nicholson saved me from those poor decisions. I was a bit frustrated in the communication overall. For example I had to remind them twice they were fixing my AC unit that day as well as that wasn’t properly communicated down. I was also frustrated that the exhaust vent they put in was not the one we originally talked about and approved by my condo association. This was due to the original one estimated not fitting but something that could have been easily avoided. Those are minor issues in my book and overall I was very satisfied with the service especially compared to other vendors I have worked with in the past. The guys here doing the work were respectful and very good and just did a great job walking me through everything overall. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will use them again if I have the need.

The technicians were knowledgeable and courteous. They asked if I had any questions - which I did- and answered them. I would recommend Nicholson for any heating/AC projects.

Nicholson did a great job on the install. The work area was kept clean and the job was completed on time. Brandon and Jake were courteous and professional the entire time. The time without water was minimized and they staggered the work as to not interrupt our hot water over night. They exhibited an excellent understanding for the impact their work had on our lives and did a great job making it a pleasant experience. The new boiler is amazing, no more hot water running out, super quiet, much smaller and the ecobee thermostats solved a major issue that our old house had (single cooling zone for two floors). Remote sensors are very useful and will also help our heating in the winter by balancing our kid's room temperature with ours and ignoring the hall. Overall very pleased with the service and equipment.

The provider was SUPPOSED to fix a leaking valve in the shower. He told me that the whole unit needed to be replaced and charged me $629 (minus the $140 Angie's offer). When he replaced the system, we were not able to get sufficient hot water to dispense from the shower head or spout and the handle is so tight that it takes two hands and a lot of tugging to get it to turn on or to stop dripping. He came back twice more to attempt to fix the problem but was unable to. I will now have to pay another plumber to come and fix the damage he has done!

Being a home owner can be difficult especially when it comes to maintaining your home. I have had many quotes on various projects around the house and its easy to spot the companies that will take advantage and over charge you. Nicholson was not like that at all, they were very honest and competitive. From the start Mike from Nicholson was on point. He explained the difference between different models and efficiency ratings to make sure I was getting what I actually needed and not paying more for a unit that i didn't really need. I shopped around and got a few quotes and Nicholson was the best price especially since it included top of the line Carrier products. The guys showed up right on time and never missed a beat. They were able to answer all of my many questions and got the job done properly and on time. They quickly got the town inspector to my house to inspect everything to get the permit closed. Lost of companies don't do a good job of this but Nicholson was very prompt with this. Bottom line is if you need any HVAC or plumbing work done you need to call these guys. You will not be disappointed.

Scheduling with the company was a bit of a challenge. After calling to explain my issues, I had to wait for someone to call me back to schedule a date (vs. simply looking at a calendar and providing a date). Mind you, I was in no rush for the service. I just wanted a date and believe any organized contractor should be able to provide a schedule. I will say the women working the phones seemed very nice. It simply took a couple of weeks to get a date with several calls. The worker arrive on 6/20 and was on time. The issues were very simple...leaking faucets and maintenance on an AC unit. The company charged $75 per AC unit to come out and run a diagnostic. When the worker arrived he first looked at the faucets. 2 leaky faucets and 1 new shower head. I had all the parts (I was planning to do myself) but figured I would see what the cost was. After an hour of reviewing the situation he can back with a quote of over $1200 - FOR LEAKY FAUCETS! Of course I declined, and then he tried to charge me $55 for his review of the situation...which I declined. Then he looked at the AC units and did diagnostics. Again, a few hours later he cam back with quotes for thousands of dollars worth of fixes. All made little sense, all completely unreasonable. When I asked how long the fixes would take the cost per hour ended up well over $500. Again we passed. Finally settled on simply filling up the Refrigerant - very quick and easy. We ended up with a bill for $513. Unless you want to pay contractors $500-$600 per hour (and it would have been more if I did the faucets), I would never use this company again.

Nicholson was very responsive and I was scheduled for the Next day. They had a cancellation and Rick arrived on time and installed the new faucet. He cleaned up and disposed of the old one. Last year, Rick installed a hot water heater in my home. So, I knew the quality of his work. Nicholson also installed a new air conditioner in my home two years ago.

The installation started on-time on a Monday with the job expected to take ~5 days. The majority of the work ended up being the ducting as expected. There were no major issues or concerns and the workers kept the house as clean as possible considering the nature of the work that was being done. Upon the completion of the work, Jeff walked me through the system, tests conducted etc and addressed any final touches I wanted before finishing the job. The unit is working great so far and I know from previous experience that should any issues arise, Mike from Nicholson will take care of it promptly.

It went fabulously. They came promptly after we called to quote the job, with the formal email following a few days later. Mike Nicholson guided us to the right system for our home and usage with a confidence and knowledge that immediately put us at ease. Not a sales pitch, just simple honest facts from his experience. They scheduled the job quickly around our need to acquire a Mass Save Heat Loan, and had all the latest info about the process, not being put off about it at all. The job went flawlessly and they provided all the rebate paperwork right with the final invoice. These guys know customer service as well as plumbing. The job site was clean and the guys personable. We really like this company for their plumbing expertise, promptness and friendliness. It's all so important and makes you feel good. They are definitely our plumbers now!

Ryan was knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. He answered all my questions and explained every detail before proceeding. The entire job proceeded far easier on myself, the homeowner, than I had anticipated. I plan to use Nicholson for all my future plumbing/heating needs.
