The tech showed up and told us he could not do the work today, the cost would be $1300 and they are busy so they would be scheduling at least 2 weeks out. I told him I would review and call the office to move forward and the tech told me ok, it will cost me $55 for a trip fee unless I schedule the work by the end of they day.

A system error showed up while tech was tuning up gas boiler, which was a cause of it taking multiple times to fire up this past winter. Worried that the part cost would be in the $100s, the tech came back with $44 plus installing. Altogether, under $200. They had a great 3 for $99 deal, that included furnace, AC, and water heater, which I wanted to use for a rental in Waltham. Sadly, they don't service that town.

Arrived earlier than estimate and did good, efficient work. Good explanation of problem and advice. Solid, professional team (with Kyle). In addition to earlier plumbing work, Nicholson also maintains our central AC. Recommend them highly.

I called at 8am on Monday morning and was able to get an appointment the same day. Rob was able to fix the shower head and even give some pointers for if it were to happen again. He then checked out two other issues we were having and wanted estimates on. He was patient in explaining the potential options and gave us an estimate. This was our first time using Nicholson and we were pleased. Also, we printed the coupon from Angie's list and were able to get $41 off of the bill.

Can’t say enough great things about Nicholson! They are prompt, respectful and fair. We just had two new full HVAC systems installed in our home. Nicholson sent both Anthony and Francis to our home. Anthony was very easy to work with and kept things very simple for us to understand while Francis took down all the notes. The project took 5 days and we now have two Carrier Infinity systems in our home and couldn’t have asked for anything better. The technicians John and Cody were also amazing. They wore booties and put down cloths in our home and took the time to leave it better than they came. I wouldn’t want it any other way. Great team. The owner should be proud.

These guys were great! Friendly, knowledgeable - the repair person took the time to explain the issues with our boiler, what to keep an eye on, what needed to be done. Going forward, I will be using Nicholson for all of our HVAC needs.

They replaced the boiler and hot water tank over a two day period. They provided space heaters while we were without heat. A couple weeks after the installation, the boiler developed a small leak, but they fixed the problem quickly. Overall they did an excellent job.

Had scheduled a service call with Nicholson Plumbing to replace a faucet and washer shut off valve. Brandon C. was the Service Pro. Brendon arrived on time, he was pleasant, professional, very helpful and he took care of the plumbing work expertly. Very pleased.

Rick was punctual and professional, and very thoughtful. I am glad to be a comfort value client, and would recommend Nicholson to all my family and friends.

Had 2 furnaces annual maintenance/cleaning performed and also discussed options/cost of installing HVAC for entire basement (currently under construction being finished). Pleasure to speak with and definitely wasn't trying to push only the most expensive options. Took their time explaining everything and didn't feel rushed at all. Moved to top of my list when HVAC is needed in our basement remodel.

We had the nicholson crew do a few things in our home at various times throughout the last couple years. We first used them when we wanted to get cooling added to our central air system and they were very professional and it was such a nice addition to get cooling in our condo. After that we had them replace a kitchen faucet and clean our air ducts. Our air ducts were pretty filthy and we were prompted to do it after we replaced the carpets in the condo. They were very careful of our belongings and clean about the entire process.

The annual check up went fine. Fixing the pipe and the faucet was more extensive than anticipated because of corrosion around the pipe connections. As a result, the work had to be completed another day and the kitchen faucets needed to be replaced. Everything was done in a professional manner.

Work completed successfully. Job probably did not require two people.

Wayne was professional and was able to resolve the issue. I had an issue with the amount of the bill, but Alex from Nicholson was quick to resolve this.

We hired Nicholson to fix an outside 1/2" copper pipe that had sprung a small leak (resulting in a 2 foot by 1 foot puddle). Long story short, we were charged $489 for Sean to spend ~45 minutes from start to finish "fixing" the leak. A couple days later we walked outside and our entire back yard was under water. I've included pictures of our yard half a day after the water was turned off. When we called Nicholson on a Friday to tell them this, they refused to send anyone out until Monday, telling us that their employees were in training. Seriously???!!! You destroy my yard and you can't even be bothered to come out immediately to fix it? All of this just days before my wife was due with out child (which they knew, but didn't seem to care about - I guess the training was more important). After threatening to call the credit card company and cancel payment, they finally agreed to send someone out. Turns out that the original "repair" done by Sean was done incorrectly (according to the second Nicholson employee to come out and try to fix the problem). His actual quote was, "I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but this wasn't done right." In the end, Nicholson refused to refund any of the $489 they charged us. On top of that, our usual $340 water bill turned into $1,200 which they also refused to pay. We are now taking them to court. So, if this is the type of service you expect for $489 (which translates to ~$650/hour), then Nicholson is your company. I've never dealt with greedier people than the ones at Nicholson. To destroy someones lawn and leave them with a crushing water bill but expect to keep all your money??? BUYER BEWARE.

Extremely professional service by Sean. Explained what he did, the materials he would use and why this would give me a better end result. It was a real pleasure to have this repair done, and not the "chore" that I thought it would be!

I called Nicholson HVAC in Holliston, MA., and the nice receptionist put out a call right away. Wayne and his helper, Hunter, were here within an hour. They were both very polite, efficient, knowledgeable, and thorough. They had the necessary part on the truck and replaced the circulation pump in less than an hour. I was very pleased with the whole experience and would recommend Nicholson HVAC highly to anyone in need of emergency repairs.
