Kevin Carson, whom I believe is the owner, gave me the sales pitch that "<the other guys> are ashland little league, we are the red sox" but it turned out that these guys were the little leaguers. I told him that I wanted them to move only things that could not be moved by one person or were already packed. I already had most things packed in boxes, but left some things loose that I could do on my own later to save money. Because he thought it was going to be an easy job, he sent 3 college aged kids. The lead kid had been an apprentice on other moves, but the other 2 kids didn't seem to have any experience. They clearly had no idea how to wrap furniture safely, as they were taping right onto the surface of the furniture rather than wrapping the furniture and then taping the blankets. Then when they were carrying my bedroom set, they carried the armoire upside down, resting it on the decorative molding on the top. The were fumbling around, trying to figure out how to move the bulky items. Clearly they were not experienced, nor did they seem to care if they damaged the furniture. They had no idea how to pack the van. Things were strewn about, with metal bed rails floating and scratching our dining room set. At one point, the kids were just sitting around on the furniture in the van, lazily looking around. When I reminded them that I had to pay by the hour, the started running around, including running while carrying a lamp with the cord dragging. Then I had to tell them not to run, but not to just sit around. They were just completely clueless. They unplugged a dehumidifier, picked it up, and started carrying it ... with the water still in it, splashing and spilling all over. They were incapable of moving everything on their own. I had to help them move my rear projection TV, teaching them how to use moving straps to lift heavy things. Then, when they were finally done, they told me that they would not leave my house until I signed paperwork (that they should have presented to me before they started) stating that I would pay for 10 hours when they had originally estimated 4 hours. It only took so long because these guys were completely inexperienced and ended up not even following my directions to only move packed boxed and heavy furniture. The lead guy was a big guy, so I felt intimidated and felt like I had to sign it because he refused to leave my house unless I did, when in reality I should have just called the police if he didn't leave. Then because I was coerced into signing the paperwork to pay them for 10 hours, I had no recourse to get any money refunded for their slow, sloppy, inexperienced work. Kevin Carson was a jerk to me as soon as I called him out on sending 3 inexperienced workers when he had promised me 3 professionals. These guys were not in the profession of moving, they were very inexperienced. From that point on, he knew he had already screwed me out of my money, and he was rude, with no intention of making things right. Bottom line, stay away from them unless you want people who don't know how to move and don't care about ruining your things and will charge you more than double their estimate because of their shoddy work.

It is a great company. They are a mom and pop business. I like them very much. They were very good. Their estimate was by far the lowest. They came in and gave the Not To Exceed price. They were super fast. Nothing was damaged. We were fresh. They were very responsive. They don?t go around this is most you ever pay. They gave an estimate for $1580 and we paid $1400. On price they were excellent they were way better than all the other movers who gave us their estimates. The guy from this company came in here with a computer and went through the whole house and then gave us an estimate. I just recommended them to somebody just yesterday.

CHOOSING AND USING THIS COMPANY TURNED OUT TO BE A DISASTER. 4 HRS. LATE TO THE JOB, ONE CREW, ONE TRUCK, SHOULD HAVE BEEN ONE 18 WHEELER OR TWO TRUCKS. THEY USED MY DOLLY AND MY TOOLS, I ENDED UP HELPING BECAUSE THEY WERE SHORT HANDED. NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN OFFICE AND CREW. THOUGHT THEY WERE DONE, BUT FORGOT TO UNLOAD THE ATTIC, SHED AND SWING SET. I CALLED THE OFFICE TO SEND ANOTHER TRUCK, WHICH THEY ASSURED ME THEY WOULD, BUT DID NOT. THIS COMPANY FAILED IN TERMS OF PLANNING, EQUIPMENT, MANPOWER AND COMMUNICATION.
