About us

We specialize in custom residential upholstery, slipcovers, antique restoration, cushions, and furniture repair for retail customers and interior designers. This work shop, owner operated for 37 years, can alter or modify existing upholstered furniture of build new pieces to fit any space. We can create any type of cushion to accommodate individual needs. When repairing furniture, especially antiques, we do not use nails and screws to make those frame repairs, we use glue and clamps. Our slipcovers are cut to fit tightly enough to create the illusion of the piece being upholstered.

Excellence of the highest order David Simms and his partner Helen of David F Simms and Company in Holliston MA are the finest upholstery craftsmen I have ever encountered. Simms and Co reupholstered my dining room chairs in beautiful blue pinstripe sunbrella fabric they recommended. Their work was far superior to the original manufacturer and their price was low. They made a form-fitted cushion for another armchair and covered it with the leftover fabric. They have replaced backing on a half-dozen needlepoint cushions. They re-stuffed an old overstuffed chair and made it like new. Finally they took a 65-year old needlepoint from a broken side chair, cleaned, restored, and repaired it, and made a custom toss-cushion that I treasure. If you work with David F Simms and Company you will get the best work you can get anywhere and you will be thrilled.
