Affordable is the right name for this company. They were way more affordable than the other quote that I got through Angie's List. This one also had a coupon that made the discount even better. So my total would have been $2000, but they took it down to $1450. Guy was professional and friendly upon assessing the basement. He had his crew out within a few days to complete the work. The crew were fine, but not the most professional team I've seen. Nice, but loud and a little messy. They went through the boxes stored on my shelves to check for mold. A lot of the boxes were left sitting all over the basement. They also did the same with the children's toys. They missed a few items that should have been cleaned, but overall they took care of the mold. They team left the air scrubber overnight to help clear up any mold that could be in the air. The next day someone arrived to pick it up. It was his first day- he really had no idea what he was doing. But at least all he had to do was remove the machine and the plastic that was sealing off the area.

I was in a bind, my closing date got moved up and we found mold in my attic. I called Guy and asked when he could provide the work. He said three weeks. I said, how about by next Wednesday. Guy was able to fit me in (on a Saturday!) and get the work done and mold certificate to me in time. VERY happy with the work and will definitely recommend in the future.

Our washing machine flooded our basement on a Sunday night so I immediately called Guy who had previously done terrific work addressing some mold issues for us in our attic. Guy had his team at our home first thing Monday morning to dry out the area (including the carpet) and strip out the damaged ceiling and tiles. A week later his crew replaced the tiles and insulation. His timely response to our problem saved our carpet and made the whole process so easy. He and his crew were professional, timely and highly responsive. The overall work was done very well and at a reasonable price. I would call Guy in a heartbeat for any issue I thought he could help with. In fact, this past winter, when we had a minor roof leak and I couldn't reach my roofer during the crazy winter storms, he was willing to come over the next day to look at our leak but my roofer ended up getting back to me before Guy came by.

The person who performed the service was not certified. When I called, they said the company is certified but the workers were not. The workers saw an old stain on the ceiling, without checking with me, they demolished horsehair and plaster from 1925 resulting in my needing to replaced my entire ceiling costing me another $1200 to replace the ceiling. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They misrepresent themselves.

The total amount of work took 2 full and 2 half days for 2-4 workers. The crew was polite and hard working and we felt very comfortable asking questions. The amount of demolition was significant, but there was absolutely no sign of it when they were done. Everything was terrific. The ceilings were quite old, so it took some careful work to make them look like new, but they were thorough and did a great job. The only minor problem was that it was a busy summer for mold work so it took a few weeks to get the work started, and we decided not to have all of the work done in our original estimate because some of the damage was minor and it would have been too disruptive. I wish I had taken the time to get Guy Oliver, the owner, to revise his estimate based on the reduced work before the work was done. In the end the price was very reasonable, but I'm not sure he was happy with the outcome.

The provider completed all of the work in a timely and professional manner. I will be interested to see things this winter to ensure ventilation has been improved. However, the provider did everything promised and was excellent to deal with.

We currently have an offer on an old home (built in 1805), and wanted to get the attic, basement, and bathrooms inspected for mold. We are very pleased that we used Affordable Mold and Duct Cleaning to do that for us. The technician was on time, professional, and very thorough in his work. He let us know about all areas of concern, and we were able to continue with our offer with peace of mind. We will absolutely use Affordable Mold and Duct Cleaning to treat the home in the future.

They were very nice to talk to, professional, on time. They took time to look over the home. They completed a quote that was approximately $2000.00 and I felt the quote was too high. I was able to have it completed for a quarter of the cost. However they were professional and easy to deal with.

Guy and his team were wonderful to work with! When they came out to give an estimate they were so professional and polite (even offered to take their shoes off when they came in the house)! They were able to schedule to do the work quickly. The team arrived on time and did exceptional work! Once again everyone was so professional and polite! This contractor, Guy Oliver, did all of the above in less than 24 hours during a period in New England where every contractor is booked up for weeks in advance because of the bad winter. My situation was unique and he listened and made a business judgement that I'm sure involved overtime and rescheduling after hours .If only all contractors realized they were a service industry, no one would be unemployed.

It went great! I found mold while stripping wallpaper in the bedroom, on the wall shared with the bathroom shower. I knew if the mold had found its way into the bedroom, it must be really bad inside the wall and not a job for the faint of heart. Queue Guy: He came out to assess the situation and give me a (very reasonable) quote. I had several follow-up questions while I was dealing with the insurance company and deciding my course of action, which Guy always answered promptly. When "Water Damage Wednesday" arrived, Guy and his crew worked tirelessly for about 6 hours to seal off the affected rooms, cut out the damaged drywall in the bedroom, demolish the tub/shower area in the bathroom, treat everything with a fungicide, and set up air movers to ventilate the area they were working on. I could not have been happier with the service, and plan to hire Affordable Mold Removal back for some air duct cleaning in the fall.

Guy's pricing was very reasonable. His workers were very professional and respectful of keeping the work area and our house clean. They did a few additional spots for no extra charge. They installed soffit vents for a small additional charge to help prevent future mold issues.

We had some mold in our attic that had been missed by the mold inspector at our house inspection, and we also had a moldy smell in the dining room that we couldn't figure out the source of. Over the course of several weeks, Guy made several trips out to the house -- helping me trying to figure out what the cause of the moldy smell was in the dining room (& if he could fix it), looking at the mold in the attic, and also identifying another spot in the attic where we had some mold forming, possibly because of an improperly vented bathroom fan. At the end of the day, Guy did the mold remediation in the two spots in the attic -- it made us feel a million times better to have that taken care of. And while the issue in the dining room ended up not being a mold issue, I really appreciated the fact that he was willing to take the time to help me figure out what was happening there. Bottom line -- Guy's great, very helpful, very customer-focused, and knows his stuff -- I would definitely use him again!

Guy came on time and was very nice. He was very helpful as I had an investigator there to write up a report of water damage to my apt. He found some helpful evidence to support the cause of leakage. Because I'm working with several parties before I can actually do work on apt, I have not used his services yet. Hugely appreciate his openness for advice on matters about water damage and molds, and when he says he'll return your messages or calls, he does follow through in a very timely manner - like that same day or next day!

Guy and his team did a terrific job, and I would highly recommend them. Guy and the team were easy to work with and super responsive, diagnosed the issues well, and explained the issues clearly to me. His crew did an outstanding job as they were prompt, courteous and thorough. The crew also cleaned up well and protected the living space very well as they knew this was important to us. All of the work was well done and performed at a reasonable cost. Guy also advised against doing some work that would have made him money but been unnecessary; I felt like I could truly trust Guy. Guy and the crew also did a few various related small tasks for me at very little or no additional cost. I had a mold problem in the North side of my attic ( which is living space) that was caused by the second floor's bathroom vents being vented into the attic and condensation being created. The improperly vented attic bathroom fan was creating mold in another portion of the attic. I had various other contactors not recognize the root causes of the problems and/or suggest treating my entire attic for mold and reinsulating it with foam. This would have been an involved and very costly project. Guy instead suggested two more minimalist approaches, starting with the cheapest, most minimalist and then potentially expanding based on where the mold was found after peeling back the insulation. We started by simply reventing the attic fans out of the house, treating the visible mold and taking down only a small portion of the ceiling to address the known issue (they repaired the ceiling well). It turned out that this was all that was needed, as the mold issue was not as bad as feared and we were thus able to go with the most minimalist approach and avoid taking down much more of the ceiling. This team deserves an A+.

A few month ago, I had some water damage in a rental unit that covered three floors - a bathroom, a ceiling, and a basment, for various issues. The owner, Guy, was extremely responsive in scheduling a time with the tenant and getting out to the unit. I met his guys on the day of service, and they were extremely professional in explaining the process, and subsequently taking care of the mold. Fastforward a few months as I bought a new home, and like many older homes in New England, there was heavy moisture in the basement. After ripping down the paneling, it became clear that I had a serious mold issue (previous owners lived there for almost six decades, so a few hidden issues). After a good experience with my rental unit, I immediately called Guy to check on his availability (we move in a few days). He came out withing a couple of days (Monday), gave me an estimate, and then scheduled work for Thursday. My wife and I were elated, since it would be cleaned and aired out before moving in - a big plus when you have a child with allergies. To make sure he got the work done before we move in, he sent seven guys! They were prompt, worked quickly and professionally, removed all the remaining paneling, scrubbed the walls and floor, and vacuumed out the space. I don't have anything to compare for the cost, but it seemed reasonable given the amount of work. I would not hesitate to use Guy and his team again in the future, I am just hoping that I don't have to.
