+ -1 moreWayne was punctual, thorough, and helped with all the questions I had about the process for getting a HEAT loan through the MassSave program which saved us money. He was able to do everything quickly under their deadlines which was much appreciated.
Description of Work: Wayne and his crew took out our asbestos-ridden cast iron boiler from 1920 and replaced it with a more up to date model. Our old one was corroding and inefficient.

+ -1 moreWayne was so easy to work with. Called him and asked him for an estimate to convert from oil to gas. He showed up when he said he would. In fact, he called to make sure we were home and available. He gave us a price that was about 30 % lower than our previous 2 estimates which made it a very easy decision. I explained to him that we wanted to wait a month or so to use up the oil that was in the tank and he understood completely. The day of the install he arrived exactly when he said he would and the job went w/o a hitch. (A first for this very old house!) Thanks Wayne!

+ -1 moreI had walked in from a week vacation in the middle of November to no heat. I called both numbers they supplied and there was no answer but I left a voice mail at both numbers. I spent a very uncomfortable night on my couch in front of my wood stove. When I woke up i called them again at 8:00 am. Again I got an answering machine. I left a message. By nine, when I hadn't heard anything from them, I called another company who answered their phone right away, I was able to speak to a person instead of a machine, and they told be they would be over right after they finished another job. And they were.
Description of Work: They initially supplied a conversion burner for my oil furnace to convert to gas. They were very reasonably priced, and performed the work punctually. But when I had a problem 2 months later with my furnace they had no emergency number to call, and I left 3 message for them and they didn't get back to me until 12 hours later. I had by that time given up on them and called another company, who were already here and working on the issue when Sulham called me back. I give them an A for price but an F for responsiveness. In the winter you want to have heat and you want to know when someone is coming out to fix it. If they had called me back punctually and said they couldn't see to the problem until the next day, that would have been OK, but in fact I had no way of knowing whether they were ever going to answer me, so I got a name off of Angies list and called them they answered right away, and were there within 2-3 hours to fix the problem.

Description of Work: These guys are real pros. They performed an oil-to-gas furnace/hot water conversion flawlessly. Not only did their bid come in way lower than the other companies I priced out, Paul was patient and explained the entire process step-by-step as we went through it. A conversion is not necessarily difficult, but it does take time and requires diligence. Having your contractor willing to take the time to assist us is beyond valuable. They have made a heating & plumbing customer for life.

+ -1 moreWayne and one additional team member (Paul, an electrician) removed oil heating and hot water equipment from my home, then installed a gas fired steam boilder (Burnham high efficiency) and a gas fired water heater (EnergyStar compliant Bradford White). He was onsite at 7:30 AM, and completed all his work by 2 PM. The installation was neat and professional. Wayne explained to me how everything works. He stepped me through the rebate paperwork I had to submit. He handled having the gas company bring gas to a home which did not have it. He handled permitting with my local town Building Inspector. He was very professional, a real pro.
