Tracy Kohler Plumbing & Heating

Description of Work: Discovered my water heater was leaking in our finished basement, called Tracy and he came right out. The WH was still under warranty so he ordered up a new one. It came in the next day and he showed up and removed the old one and slipped in the new one. The devil is in the details here. Our WH resides in extremely tight quarters and he had to remove some plumbing to lift the tank up and over before sliding it out and then reversing the process to put the new one in. To me it looked like a nightmare but to Trace it was just another day on the job. We have used Tracy repeatedly for many different plumbing issues and he has always been very responsive to our needs and calls and he's usually there when he says he will be.

Description of Work: A little Background/Story to explain my frustration and state of mind before I called Tracy Kohler. I had an Energy Audit done in an attempt to improve the efficiency of my old home. I took a day off from work, answered a lot of questions, filled out a lot of paperwork and ended up with some free light bulbs. Even worse, my heating system was "red tagged" shut down because it was considered so old that it was a hazard. Now I need to work on replacing my heating system. I schedule appointments/meetings with several area plumbers and heating companies. Took more time off from work to meet them... sometimes they showed up, sometimes they didn't. When they did show up if they made it to the point of providing me an estimate as Sears did the price was ridiculous. I became so annoyed with the process that I was willing to bundle up and go without heat. I came to my senses and decided to contact Tracy Kohler who I found in the plumbing section of Craigslist at the time. Tracy Kohler returned my emails and messages immediately, showed up and looked at the job when he said he would. Gave me a very fair estimate and then described the simplest and best approach for me to replace my boiler. He also gave me some good ideas for future conversion of my hot water heater when it goes so I can convert to water storage off my new boiler. Tracy was given access to my home while I was at work and when I went to check on things I found his work area to be impeccibly clean and organized. Tracy Kohler is an honest, hard-working, straight forward Guy who I would recommend to anyone and everyone without hesitation.
