Elliott Tree

Beware this company. They broke a large picture window, 12 foot by 6 foot and have refused to provide their Insurance information so I can get this repaired. Before you do business make sure you have proof of insurance in hand so you are not in the same situation as I am.

Tree Removal was ok, some lawn damage which may be expected. Stump Grinding on the other hand was terrible and needed to hire another company to regrind the stump. Left an excess amount of debris in place and didnt grind the stump properly. Did not communicate well and was unresponsive when called/emailed to complain.

The work was done professionally and carefully. We were very happy with the work done.

Very quick, very fair. They're local, known to my adult children, went to school with one of them. He has a good reputation around town. Well known and local and very fair.

Outstanding. Everyone was friendly and polite, and I mean everyone (from the folks answering the phone in the office, Josh when he came for the estimate, and the crew on job day). They even walked around the yard with us when they were done so we could make sure everything was done as we had expected. They were in and out in one day and removed every log and branch they cut. They were terrific. Great crew of about 5-6. Showed up with a very large crane, bucket truck, chipper, log hauler and ditch witch. Everyone knew his job and completed it flawlessly. They left my property clean. I was completely satisfied. Complete in less than 2 hours.

The crew showed up right on time and explained everything that needed to be done.The 4 trees were very close to our house and fence, so a crane and bucket truck were used. The entire process took less than 90 minutes. They even trimmed other trees in the yard that were close to our roof. I liked that the crew was safe and efficient. They took pride in their work.

We ended up not using Elliott Tree. However, we were immensely impressed with he Aborist they sent out. He spent a good amount of time discussing the job with us, making recommendations, and even educating us on some of our other trees and bushes. We had a coupon with another company so price was the factor but I'd use Elliott Tree in the future and plan to. Especially for pruning and for the health of some of our larger ornamental trees.

I requested an appointment by phone message. I received a return call within 2 hours from a professional arborist. We made an appointment to meet at my home. The arborist, Josh, was at my place right on time armed with in-depth professional knowledge, a pleasant demeanor, and genuine interest in learning what I wanted and what my concerns were. We spent a good amount of time discussing the job. We came up with a plan. They are very busy, as they are quite possibly the best tree care company in the region, which I would soon find out. I received a call a few days later with a date and time for the job which was also just a few days later. The day and time came and the whole crew showed up with a crane, two high reach trucks, a bobcat like vehicle, a chipper, and other support equipment. The crew, each and every one, was professional, personable, and well trained. They went to work after confirming the objectives of the job. Communication was 100% clear. They worked all day from 8:30am to 5:00pm with one very short onsite lunch break. During the job the owner of the company, Gramm Elliott, showed up to introduce himself and to discuss any questions or concerns I may have. When the job was done the clean up was completed. It was more like an abbreviated landscaping exercise. The place looked great! Everything was just as we planned: the trees, the logs, the wood chips, the cleanup...everything. Finally, the bill. The actual price on the bill was exactly what the estimate price was, to the penny. From first contact to the final waves good-by was less than two weeks, WOW! The whole job was great, the whole experience was great! I could not be more delighted with the service provided by ELLIOTT TREE CARE. I would, and will, recommend ELLIOTT TREE CARE to anyone who will listen.

We had an amazing experience working with Elliot tree. Josh was very friendly and answered all of our questions. They showed up when they said they would and performed the work they quoted plus some. We will definitely be giving them a call the next time we need to have any tree work done.

Responded to request for assistance promptly, sent professional arborist staffer to our home to perform site survey and take our requirements. Survey work was professional, with the staffer sharing his professional experience freely as we verbally developed the plan. Verbal proposal and casual agreement with ROM estimate was followed by written proposal and firm cost within a couple days. Scheduling for on-site work took a few more days than expected, but was still immediate enough that we had no concerns. On-site team arrived on work day reasonably late in the morning (past 8 am), but were very quickly to work. Graeme led the team on site, and he and his team demonstrated their significant experience through practiced teamwork, accuracy, expediency, and smooth and safe execution throughout. They performed a lot of high-tree work to take many of our trees out safely; their man maneuvering into place in the canopy via a bucket lift truck, and then deploying his saw. The high tree work was impressive to watch; clearly performed safely, but so fluidly it was like seeing an professional gardner pulling weeds. Felling of the large maple on our driveway was impressive: after the tree was delimbed, the bole did not want to fall. They drove it over with wedges right onto a bed of other trees they had laid to ensure our driveway didn't get smashed when it came down. Finally, the problem tree over the house was removed via the high tree technique where the team slung section of the tree as they cut to let them down without risk to the house. Signficant portions of the work were performed via access to our property from our neighbor's, and the team were extremely respectful of the access way, and our neighbor's property concerns as well. Overall proposed schedule was 1.5 days on site, but work was performed handily within the first day. Trees were expected to be removed on 2nd day, but pickup truck showed up late on day 1, meaning all on-site work was wrapped in a single day. Nothing to add but thanks to Graeme and the crew for the really amazing job they did here. Will call again without hesitation as needs dictate.

We contacted Elliott Tree for a large project on our property. Josh was quick to respond, accommodating to our schedule for the consultation, very knowledgeable and professional. The job was done while we were away, and we came back to everything done as described in the estimate, and to a clean job site. (I do recommend you request the ground to be covered if you have any tree work done - we did not, but we will be doing tons landscaping in the spring and were not worried about the lawn at this point.) Great communication, before and after the job. We will not hesitate to use Elliott Tree in the future.

Elliott Tree was fantastic from start to finish; I'd hire them again in a heartbeat. We worked with Josh initially for the quote and assessment of what the job would entail - we primarily needed a massive maple tree completely removed from a tricky space between houses, up a hill, with nearby power lines. The assurance and advice regarding how the crane would be positioned and each step of the process made us comfortable in the Elliott team's expertise and they delivered. The price was in line with other companies (we got four quotes total) and the add-ons like trimming another nearby tree and grinding the stump of the removed tree were very reasonable. Elliott had the unique benefit a direct relationship with the crane operator, which made scheduling easier and more reliable. Josh also gave us excellent advice about other trees on our property that we could handle ourselves. Elliott's crew worked with us to schedule the tree removal within the time frame we needed it done and arrived on time as agreed, including giving us a call when they were on their way. Graham and the whole crew at our house that day were professional and amicable. They talked us through how things would go, consulted with us on how best to trim the second tree, and were very courteous to our neighbors, too. A job that involves swinging thousands of pounds of tree over your house isn't a situation to take lightly and we're very glad we hired Elliott! They'll be our first call if we need additional tree work in the future.

Graeme and a fellow arborist spent over two hours carefully and skillfully pruning several specimens on the property, then shredded/chipped all the debris, and used a leaf blower to clean up smaller materials when they were done. The results were outstanding. Both gentlemen were friendly and approachable, and discussed their strategy for each plant with me as they were working. Clearly knowledgeable, they dramatically improved the look of the shrubs and trees while adhering to conservative "best practices" (i.e., not overdoing the cuts to achieve results) to maintain their long-term health. Price was very reasonable. I plan to use Elliott Tree regularly in the future as part of our overall landscape maintenance plan. Highly recommended.

One of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor. Punctual, friendly, excellent at their work, fast and far below what I expected it to cost.

Went lousy....company to contact us two-three days prior to service....showed up virtually unannounced just after a three day rain. Then got his equipment stuck prior to us knowing they were showing up. Made a disaster out of two sides of property.... promised "I will take care of the area where truck got stuck...I will not leave you with a project" Worked into the dark,...demanded payment and left without a good view of damage. Would not return a call when I left a message asking for some kind of a resolution. Extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism displayed by an Angie's list member.

Graham and crew arrived around 11:30, parked their equipment, went to lunch and came back about an hour later. They took down the trees and cleaned up very nicely. They were done around 2:30. Graham [owner] is very personable and professional. Can't recommend him and his crew enough. Nice meeting him and having him do the work for us.

They did a great job. They arrived and completed the work on time. The area was left very clean at the end of day. I would gladly use them again in the future.

The job was done quickly and professionally. Graeme used a bucket truck to reach most of the trees and was careful to avoid damaging any of our shrubs when he dropped the limbs and tree trunks to the ground. His crew used a chipper to clean up all the limbs and swept up after themselves. They hauled away the logs. Graeme was very responsive to my calls and came out to look at the job just a couple days after I called him. He had bid the job for me in 2012 but I was unable to do it then. When I asked him to look at the job again in 2014, he told me that he could do it for the same price he'd quoted earlier.

Owner/workers showed up for work and came right in got all the work done and asked multiple times if i wanted anything else or if any other branches bothered me or anything else needed trimming. they cleaned up the yard really well! not a branch or leaf left behind it was amazing. My father in law came by right after saw the work and called for service immediately to remove 2 tree's at his house because of how clean the site was left it looked almost like no work was done but tree's were missing/branches and such. Very knowledgable as well gave in depth details on each plant i asked about and explained what i should expect from them. highly recommend them!
