There was excellent communication throughout the entire process. They guided us the whole way and were there for any questions. We were extremely happy with this company and would highly recommend them. They showed up on time with all appointments and did what they said they would do.

We researched many other solar companies before landing on Northeast Solar. Zach met with us and explained really clearly the process, the difference between renting and owning (and therefore taking advantage of all of the government credits), presented us with several options and helped us find the best system for our house. We felt that Northeast was the most cost effective for what we'd receive, and they offered the best warranty. From the informational to acquiring the loan, to the scheduling to the actual installation - everything went flawlessly. The team communicated well and were always very polite and considerate onsite, checking in with us at every step. Ann, the business manager helped us through the whole loan process. Even after the install, when we have questions, they are available to answer them in a timely manner. Best of all, we can monitor how much energy we are producing online, and if feels really good to have reduced our carbon footprint a considerable amount.

Everything went very well. I was especially impressed that they stayed in constant communication with me...I was never in the dark or looking for answers. The work was professional, neat, and convenient to my schedule. I could not have asked for a better experience. It was truly a pleasure to work with them.

It went flawlessly from start to finish. My sales rep, Tom Kelley, was outstanding. He explained everything to our satisfaction, left professional grade materials with us, discussed how the entire process would work, i.e. what would happen first, second, third, etc. He and another technician analyzed the roof of our home and our detached garage, took lots of pictures and within 48 hours emailed me several proposals for system installs with various price points, also showing how long each system would take to pay for itself etc. We settled on a system and made our initial deposit. We were given an accurate time frame for the install, including when it would commence, and likely end. There are many players involved, so any given company only has control over how long it takes them to do what they're going to do, but they have zero control over the Town's inspector, building permit department, or the utility company and their paperwork and approval process. However, NE Solar's estimates were right on time, and they actually finished our system early, thanks, in part also, to the expeditious efforts of both the Town of Northampton MA building inspector, as well as the awesome responsiveness of National Grid, the utility provider for our system interconnection. NE Solar's team of workers, from the rail system installers, to the guys who installed the panels on the rails later, to the electrical team, . . . they were all professional, respectful, and friendly, and they quite obviously knew what they were doing. Finally, I cannot say enough good about the promptness and professionalism of management, particularly Ann Bronner! Quick replies to questions, clear guidance, and flexibility around scheduling. Just awesome. Last, I want to mention the high quality of the SunPower solar panels, "invisi-mount" rails, and the integrated micro-inverters, along with an industry leading guarantee and straight forward monitoring via computer, tablet, or smart phone. Not everyone is allowed by SunPower to install their systems. They are picky. NE Solar is only one of two companies in Western MA as of this writing that are allowed to install and service their systems. Another great reason to go with a SunPower system through Northeast Solar than other types from other solar companies. I highly recommend Northeast Solar to you for your solar project fantasy. If you want to do solar, choose Northeast Solar and realize your dream in the most seamless way imaginable.

My experience working with Northeast Solar could not have been better! The initial contact provided me with all the pertinent information that I needed to get started with the process. I was walked through everything step by step and never felt pressured into buying a system. The staff did an excellent job making sure that I was informed about how the system would work, what the benefits would be, and costs associated with owning the system. They also educated me about the pros and cons of leasing a system from another provider as well. After setting up an onsite meeting, I was happy to see that the consultant actually got on the roof and took measurements ( other providers did not, and relied on Google Earth measurements to estimate the array size). Zach spent hours at my home analyzing data, taking measurements, and continuing to educate me on the different types of systems based on what my objectives were for the array. Other providers, only wanted to install the most expensive, or the biggest system without taking into consideration why I wanted a solar system in the first place. This customer focused sales approach, made my decision to hire NE a very simple one. I felt that the size and price of the system was dictated by me and not the other way around. Once I signed a contract, the process was handed over to another member of the staff. I was kept informed about everything along the way, including being copied on every email to the utility, permits that were required and obtained by NE, and any changes that were anticipated due to mW cap limits being met prior to my system being approved. Never once did I have to lift a finger to do anything. Ann and her team took care of everything and ensured that I understood the process along the way. Since my roof needed to be replaced prior to the install, preliminary dates were set for the solar based on the new roof. However, my contractor had a busy summer and my project start date kept getting delayed. Ann worked with me around this issue to ensure that there would be no delay once the new roof was on. After the roof was completed, the team arrived to start the install. The entire team was employed by NE and there were no outside contractors used. The team work very efficiently and took extreme care not to damage my new roof. The team was extremely courteous and treated my house as if it were their own. The entire team presented themselves in a profession manner as well. They wore matching uniforms, did not smoke on site, left no trash behind, and were extremely polite. They had no problem answering my questions during the install as well. Overall, the installation team was the best I have ever experienced doing any project! After the project was completed and the final permission was granted to turn on the system, Ann returned to my house, walked me through the operation, and explained what to expect on my new electric bill. Since it has been up and running, I have emailed questions to Ann or the project manager and have received replies immediately. Never do I feel like a burden asking questions and always get the answers I am looking for quickly ( the questions were primarily about an application that a user can access via the internet to monitor power output ). I can easily say that hiring Northeast Solar was the best decision that I could have made. Zach, Ann, Phil and the installation crew made the process of owning a solar system very easy and would recommend them to everyone.

We loved them! Through every stage of the project everyone involved was wonderful to work with. They interpreted every confusing communication with the utility company that would have stopped us at stage one if it were up to us to figure out. They made the whole experience so agreeable. We would definitely recommend them and go with them again in the future!!!

went well. first contact was 2015, but there were delays on my part to proceed. once I re-contacted them, I had an update of the proposal quickly, and then the process went smoothly. estimates for cost and time to install were accurate. work proceeded almost precisely according to the plan, in fact, a bit early. support has been fine, so far. workmanship was fine. they responded when I have had questions. the panels have worked. the effect on my electric bill has been as expected. i adhered to their recommendations about tree work around the house, so that there is full sun, and those recommendations were accurate. the panels are part of the house, owned by me. the interface regarding rebates and MA SREC system has been according to plan. when I have had questions about the money part, they have been addressed. the system does not have a contract with the electric company.

This was an exemplary experience. The folks at Northeast Solar were well informed and remarkably conscientious. They handled every detail, from start to finish, and their communication was first-rate. We're new to solar; Northeast Solar made it easy. Hats off to their entire crew.

Everyone I worked with from Northeast Solar was totally professional and efficient. Mu first contact came to my home to assess the viability of the location for solar panels. He called to make an appointment and arrived on time; assessed the situation and explained the entire process, including cost estimates and timing. The cost was verified a little later and never wavered. The timing was also spot-on, even a little early. They worked efficiently and kept me posted about everything they were doing. They finished quickly and my initial contact came back to go over all the details again. I then got to flip the switch to start the process!!! I was thoroughly pleased with everyone throughout the process. The communication was outstanding. That may sound a bit over the top, but I was apprised of their progress every step of the way. I would recommend them without reservation.

These folks are the BEST! They are totally on top of their game, helped us figure out what we needed and walked us through the complicated maze of federal and solar regulations and programs, sited the array, worked with the electrician and builder, answered all our questions promptly and competently, and were completely accessible, friendly and just great to work with all the way. Their installers and electrician were prompt and efficient, finished the job ahead of schedule and were simply exxcellent. We cannot recommend Northeast Solar highly enough! Many, many thanks to them for a superb job well done.

Our experience was fabulous. They were friendly, relatable, professional, and completely willing to explain and help navigate all the ins and outs of getting solar panels. They helped us understand the tax rebate process and other financial aspects of solar panels in Massachusetts, as well as taking lots of time to explain how the panels would work. They went above and beyond in terms of having an engineer come out to our house to assess it after it first appeared that structurally, we might not be able to get the panels. The engineer ended up approving the project after taking hours to assess our house carefully. Rusty at Northeast Solar was always willing to meet with us whenever we needed, including after working hours because of our schedules. Everyone we worked with was friendly and helpful and we were kept informed of everything that was happening in a timely manner. We could not recommend Northeast Solar more highly- if you are getting solar panels, they should be your first choice!

Northeast Solar was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. We interacted with 4 or 5 different staff members and each one was knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and smart! They clearly explained what they were going to do and then did it!

Excellent. The installation was done ahead of schedule and everything was done very professionally. Any questions I had were answered in a timely manner. As of this time I have no complaints.

My first contact was with Zach when I was planning on moving to the area. He took a look on google earth at house I was looking at purchasing with solar in mind. He even offered to go look at the houses before I was in state. Once I was a Massachusetts homeowner, they gave me several quotes with 80-100% production, with and without tree removal. They offered financing options to fit my budget demonstrating approximate paybacks with each model. I spent nearly 6 months in conversation with them before putting a deposit down and never really got a hard sell to make a move. I was very happy with the communication and updates throughout, knowing there would be periods of waiting. Nearly two months after activation the production is as advertised. I have already recommended them to two friends.

These people are fantastic. Every step of the project was managed professionally. Great communication, hardworking team, I just can't say enough about how well we were treated and the quality of work. I actually had a slightly cheaper quote from a competing installer, a large national outfit, and decided to go with Northeast instead because the dedicated local service was clearly worth it. One of the best things about partnering with Northeast is that they aren't just done with the install is over, they'll be in your corner in the future as well if you ever need to use your warranty on a panel, change your schedule z, etc.

The frustrating part of this project is waiting for approvals from Eversource. It took months since they are so backed up with solar system approvals. But, Northeast Solar was on top of the permitting, approvals, and design. System was installed in mid November. Only took 5 days to install. Very professional job. No outside conduits on roof. All cabling is thru the attic to basement and to metering. Very clean looking. Northeast used quality LG panels and Enphase microinverters. So far system is working to design. With the solar production rate I should be able to have near net zero $ for electricity for the year, power the Tesla and get a goodly return from the Solar credits (srecs) and see a 5 year payback. Thank you to Ann, Andrew, Phil and Greg and all who installed the system. Very happy with the end result and highly recommend Northeast Solar to anyone thinking of going solar.

The project went extremely well. We went with a company that was local in order to better expedite permits, utility connection agreements, inspections, and general knowledge of local Towns and Massachusetts incentives. We called 2 companies, but NE Solar responded the quickest and could do the work in a short time period. Cost of the system was about $3.94 per watt, which is a reasonable cost, so just went with the one estimate. They gave us several options of panels and inverter combinations. Installation crew was very professional and the job was completed in 2 days. This included adding some sister joists to our garage roof to handle the load that the engineering analysis required. Communication was primarily by email, and they were very good about keeping us informed along the way. We were very happy with the work that NE Solar did for us. I would recommend them highly. They also support local community groups and charities, so they are giving back to our community.

It went relatively great. There was a mix-up about the installation date, and the young man who made the deal with us promised a bit more than they could deliver in terms of getting the job done in early August (it ended up being September), but one of the owners did everything she could to make things right, and we are very pleased both with their responsiveness and absolute professionalism. They always came when they said they would, did what they said they would do, and left no mess behind them. actual installation took two days. I was impressed by the fact that one day when we called, the other owner of the company picked up the phone and dealt with our concerns right there -- it means that the owners are involved at the everyday level and understand what is happening out in the field. We are thrilled to watch our meter go backwards into negative territory. The payoff time for our system should be 5-6 years. There are many great loans available. We are completely sold on solar power and on Northeast Solar. Also, if you generate more electricity than you will ever use, you can have some of the extra credited to another user, and this can be adjusted according to need twice a year.

The installation went well and as promised. The actual system installation began on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, and was fully operational by Thursday, July 30, 2015. The City of Springfield Electrical Inspector approved of the installation on 7/31/15. However, the system was not activated and connected to the power grid until October 2, 2015. The delay in activating the system was solely caused by EverSource, and was not the fault of Northeast Solar.

Salesperson was professional and responsive Had to endure a delay from the the power company to process paperwork. Delay not caused by Northeast Solar. When all in order, panels installed with appropriate construction inspections over 3 days. After about 6 weeks, the electric Co. patched us into the grid. Now producing solar energy. Northeast Solar is very good to work with and does well making it easy to navigate the complexities of a solar hookup.

I was so impressed with the entire experience with Northeast Solar - from start to finish. They explained the process every step of the way, were available to answer questions and most importantly for me - said what they were going to do and then did what they said. The experience was very no-pressure and collaborative and the entire team communicated clearly. As the expression goes - this is clearly not their "first rodeo" and their experience shows. Putting solar panels on my home has been a goal for me for a very long time and a big investment, and so it was important that it meet our expectations. It seemed like it would be a very complicated process until we made the decision to go with Northeast Solar and got started with them when the whole process was laid out for us. We signed the contract in December with a plan to install after the snow was gone in April - and it all happened exactly as planned - entirely painless. The financial model and production expectation now two months after completion is also going as planned and it is looking like one of the best investments I've made in the house. We couldn't be happier!

Very professional group of people, quality workmanship, quality service.

There was a long delay getting the installation started, but it was the result of an overwhelming response to the Solarize Amherst program and not the fault of Northeast Solar -- and we were told fairly quickly about the delay so were disappointed but not surprised. Once the installation started, it went professionally, efficiently, quickly, and after a week, seems to be working wonderfully. Everyone we worked with was friendly and professional. I'd definitely recommend these folks.
