Ben came to our house to explore options for solar at our request. He was talking about his sports, activities and going snow shoeing later in the day. He went up on the roof and told us we could get 91% coverage or better. He lost out electric bill we gave him that day. When we got the proposal they could only cover 47%. When I called him and told him he had said 91% his attitude changed and he never called back as he was 15,000.00 more then other company with same couverage.

Northeast Solar made the decision to install a solar array very easy. The knowlegeable staff can answer any question quickly and thoroughly. The paperwork involved was complicated and extensive, but the staff took care of everything and kept us informed with each step through emails. The crew came out just before the Christmas holiday to begin the install. It was extremely cold and windy but they stayed for full days working. The " guys " were polite and also were willing and able to answer our questions. The staff electrician and all the installers did a very neat job. My husband built our home and he is not comfortable letting anyone else do work here. He is very pleased with the care and skill that the crew used in their work. Now that the snow is gone from the roof, we are absolutely delighted with our decision to go solar and to use Norhteast Solar. The wonderful staff is still answering my questions with the same courtesy and attention as before we signed a contract with them. They continue to be helpful and haven't forgotten about us like other companies do once they are paid. Northeast Solar is a locally owned , brick and mortar building located right in Hatfield, so we know they will be here for us for anything that we may need in the future

After signing up with Solarize Amherst, we were quickly contacted by Northeast Solar who came out and did an evaluation of or home. The employee who did the evaluation was very informative, telling us about what he would be doing for his evaluation. We then met with the Northeast Solar representative at their office who gave us detailed information about the system they were suggesting, the cost, the tax incentives, SREC's and payback period for the system they were proposing. He explained in detail not just the system, but the contract, rebate and SREC program. We felt very comfortable signing the contract after this meeting. They then sent a structural engineer to our home to evaluate the roof and it's support structure. While he was a contract employee, he again was very informative and walked us through what he was doing and the calculations he would be making to insure our roof was able to carry the load of the proposed system. I was then contacted by Ann Bronner, Northeast Solar's Operations Manager who set up the time schedule for construction of the project and then winter happened. Between gaps in snowfall, our roof cleared enough to have the system installed. The work crew were as expected from our earlier experience with this company, courteous, informative and respectful. They also were safety minded as the winter was effecting their work. There is a tremendous amount of paperwork and communication required with different agencies and our electric company. Northeast Solar, in particular, Ann Bronner took care of it all while continuing to keep me updated at every step. This company was wonderful to work with and I recommend them highly.

NorthEast Solar was superbly professional all through the process. They were responsive to phone calls, clear in their explanations, providing back-up materials and information on the entire process as it went along. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering solar energy.

We had the work done as part of the Solarize Amherst program which made it more doable from a financial standpoint and were very pleased with the outcome. Coordination and communication with the salespersons, office managers and installation crew was consistent, helpful and generally spot on. We were pleased to find that even though we have an older house we did not need additional structural work in order to have the array installed; that we were also given credits by the contractor when the electrical upgrades for our panel were not needed; and that the crew got the work done in 2 days, not 3. Maybe the stars were aligned in some rare fashion, but we also had a quick turn around for the paperwork, inspections and even the meter replacement by the utility. The crew installed on 9/3 & 4 and we were sending kWhs back to the grid on 9/15. Finally, we've had excellent response from the office when we've had any questions or queries post-installation. We had one issue with some ladders placed on a lower roof section (that did not receive solar panels) where the metal abraded the asphalt surface. I notified the firm and they promptly sent out a roofer to do repairs with absolutely no fuss - very good business on their part. Thanks to Northeast Solar for helping us make a solar dream come true!

The crew was excellent. As a former construction manager I especially appreciated their attention to detail, and concern for us as homeowners. The work was done expertly and efficiently, and the site was left clean and neat. The managers were particularly helpful in making us aware of the important details of solar production. The work was completed by the end of December, but Northeast Solar has kept in touch as needed. The panels and associated devices are working perfectly.

We are very happy with the work that Northeast Solar did. They were great at problem solving. They have been very helpful and quick to respond to any of our questions.

Majority of value was in the form of "tax savings". When I explained that I was more interested in an economic benefit, rather than tax benefits, was very persistent in trying to continue sales pitch, without providing reasonable expectations of economic benefit.

We highly recommend Northeast Solar for solar installations. Northeast Solar installed a solar array for us last January on our property in Montague. We could not be happier with the installation and the people at Northeast Solar. Their work was beautifully done and their customer service has been superb.

The entire process went very smoothly and was full of goodwill and trust. NE Solar created a variety of design scenarios at my request with cost and income projections for each one. They were very respectful of my budget and my choices & I'm very happy with my new solar powerhouse. The communication was excellent whether I called or emailed & every one of their team was professional and even eager to discuss options and explain how things worked. The final product is serving us well, is a point of pride in our yard and is producing even more power and income than we had expected, especially in the winter. (It feels good to have just tiny electric bills and also see SREC income.) NE Solar also handled all the rebates and incentive paperwork & gave us good advice throughout. Were hoping to add another array in the near future! I like working with a company where you can talk with the owner on the phone and get any questions answered promptly, even after the sale.

They showed up when they said they would, they did the job, cleaned up, re seeded my lawn and explained the entire process to me. The were professional, courteous and accommodating. When questions arose after the installation the front office answered me quickly. I would use them again and hope to in the future on my rental properties.

Excellent company to work with, fully staffed and knowledgeable about their industry. They answered all my questions, provided any specific data I requested and followed-up on all of the details during both the design and commissioning process. Their installation crews were prompt, courteous and well-equipped. They came when they said they would and completed the job in a timely and professional manner. The system has only been operational for 10 days but I'm confident in the outcome because I trust this contractor to provide the highest level of service. I highly recommend that you consider this contractor, and tell them that Mayor Mike sent you! :-)

NE Solar was excellent. They were very responsive and professional. They took care of everything from the design, permitting, registration with the power company. The installation crew was a pleasure to have around and installed the system promptly and professionally. We had not issues at all. We recommend them highly.
