We bought out house a few years ago and had hired this company to do some work. We were VERY pleased initially, he was responsive and did a quick, quality job. However the third time we called we were extremely disappointed. It went very badly. Mitch came to repair the connection, but cut the connection, and did not replace the cut piece. He tried to clamp it. I called back to tell him I smelled gas (our bedrooms are right over the furnace) and he said he would not come back that evening - and it should be fine. I was so terrified of the gas smell, I called the gas company who told me to shut the gas off at the main. We burn with a wood stove and it was a complete fire hazard. I called him back and he was extremely rude. I called the second day saying I smelled gas and when was he able to come - he was frustrated and angry on the phone. I called the DPW and Town to see if there were any consume complaints about this business and if it was by code to cut the connection without replacing it, and just clamp it. I was so upset that we smelled gas and he did not want to come to fix the issue until the following day despite that we were in the middle of winter while we were burning wood. After consulting with my family, I put some soapy water on the connection to see if it bubbled, so I could verify a leak in the gas line and it did. I then took a picture of it. When he came by the next day, he wanted to replace the clamp again, rather than replace the piece he had cut he was angry and frustrated, said there was no leak - and he did not smell it. I then had to show him the picture so he would believe me and I asked him to put in a completely new connector so there would be no leak. He agreed and I agreed to not call back if there was an issue, I would call someone else. The entire experience was upsetting and I joined Angies list to make sure this does not happen again. At least on this site, you can review people and see what their experience was. I did not want to leave a poor review, and in the end at least he fixed the problem. However, It was an extremely frustrating and terrifying experience when you have a gas leak and burn wood - you don't want to be careless with the safety of your family.

Nothing makes me sadder than leaving a negative review, but I feel obligated to warn people away from AM/PM Plumbing. Mitch, the owner, is dishonest and litigious, and he wasted an enormous amount of my time. My woes began August of last year, when I called him for an estimate for some work on my house, which he provided - so far, so good. It's standard practice for contractors to provide estimates free of cost, but several weeks later I received a bill from AM/PM Plumbing for $100, for a "service call" (the estimate - Mitch never provided me any service of any kind). I received the bill after I informed Mitch I wouldn't be going ahead with one of the items we talked about, a tankless water heater installation, and I got the impression the $100 bill was retaliation for turning down a big-ticket item. I'd also like to point out that the estimate I received from AM/PM was... fishy. One of the work items had no price - "pricing to follow", I think that was the explicit language in place of a dollar amount. Needless to say, I didn't sign the estimate. In fact, I never signed anything with AM/PM, for which I'm extremely grateful. None of this stopped Mitch from taking me to small claims court last month, on June 10th - for $5,000! All for work that Mitch admitted under oath that he never did, for a contract he admitted I never signed. Needless to say the claim was thrown out of court: docket number 1545C000293, Trial Court of Massachusetts, District Court Department, Small Claims Session, 15 Gothic St. in Northampton, MA. But it was still profoundly inconvenient. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for a plumber.

The service was prompt and showed a mastery of the particular issue that I have in my basement, namely that the pipe had to be heated electrically to thaw, with a long cable between the upstairs (sink) pipe and the thawed area in the basement. It was handled pleasantly and quickly.

We needed two toilets replaced in our townhouse with new comfort-height, water-saving ones. Based on the recommendation of a property management firm that had previously managed our unit as a rental, we contacted AM PM Plumbing & Heating and were not disappointed. The job was quickly scheduled. The plumber arrived as scheduled and did a professional installation. (We provided the new toilets.) He also helped me carry the old toilets to the condo association's dumpster and installed a new shower head at no charge. Overall we were very happy with AM PM Plumbing, would use them again, and recommend them to others. The only suggestion for improved customer service that I would make is to consider picking up heavy plumbing items, such as toilets, that a customer may have purchased from a Lowes or Home Depot. None of the plumbing companies that we contacted, including AM PM, were willing to do that. At our Florida townhouse, all of the contractors were willing to do that. Fortunately, I had a large SUV to transport the toilets and a son who could help me carry them into the townhouse. An elderly or disabled person, someone without an SUV, etc. would not have that option.

We had a toilet replaced in our upstairs bathroom. The two guys who showed up to do the work were very nice and the job was done quickly and they cleaned up everything. About 1 month later the toilet began leaking. The master plumber came out and accused me of having the floor replaced (it was 8 years old and had not been touched) and that another plumber must have come out and moved the toilet. He repeatedly accused me of something that never happened and was blaming me for the leak. After removing the toilet he said yes, the pipe had been cut too short, yet would not take responsibility (he had not been present at the original job). The original two guys were sent out to fix the pipe immediately, again they were very nice, however I was then sent a bill for an additional $359 and left with a hole in my downstairs bathroom ceiling. Had the pipe just been fixed without the accusations and additional labor charges I would have been satisfied with the work and responsiveness. Unfortunately, I was left feeling berated and cheated.

AM PM serviced our Buderis furnace which stopped working in the dead of winter, when the company which installed was overloaded. They came in a timely manner and saved an elderly family member from freezing.

It went very well. They did a really good job; they always do. We had a pipe with a hole in it back in February and they came out to fix it right away. They are responsive, fast, clean, and knowledgeable.

Making an appointment was easy. They came on time. The work was completed quickly. He did not try to sell me a new faucet. It is true that I also mentioned replacing a valve in the water line to the washing machine and he said he would return with one, but he never did. But that was not part of the original request.

Poorly. The plumber did not show up and did not call a scheduled appt. This is unacceptable.

I bought the house knowing that it needed a new boiler so it wasn't an emergency situation. I used the time to shop around and actually received three quotes. Mitch at AM/PM provided a very detailed quote that gave me confidence he was quoting accurately. He was very good about under promising and over delivering which I like. He gave an estimate for when the work could be done and actually was able to beat that estimate by more than a week. When it turned out that my oil tank (I was replacing an aging oil-fired boiler) still had a considerable amount of oil still in it, Mitch was very accommodating and allowed me to postpone the cutover to the new system so that I could use the oil.
