Mike took care of my ice dams and gave me advice on prevention. He repaired a sagging cabinet that essentially needed to rebuilt and made it serviceable again. He also rehung an old door, tweaked some cabinet doors so that the pulls lined up visually (two other guys in the past couldn't manage to do what it took Mike a few minutes to accomplish without the whining about my old house that I had heard before). I was very pleased with Mike's work and his integrity. As mentioned above.
Description of Work: Originally called Mike for ice dam issues, and he was responsive and helpful. The job needed a return visit and he returned and completed the job without charging me more than originally quoted. I subsequently hired him to do some home repairs, which he completed on time, well, and reasonably priced. He actually quoted me an amount, it took less time, and he refunded me the difference. That level of honesty not always expected but very welcome. Mike is pleasant and respectful to boot!

Mike, his son and another young man showed up on time and got right to work removing snow from our roof. It was bitterly cold but they never stopped working at all. They cleaned all walkways, driveway, and around vents really well. VERY happy with the job.

I contacted the provider 2 days before another major snow storm was due to hit the area to inquire about getting our roof cleared of snow. He got right back to me with a quote and said he would squeeze us in. The quote was less than what others were charging so I scheduled service. The crew showed up right on the time promised. They were efficient and very professional and friendly. The owner went above and beyond to complete the service before the next big storm hit so that we didn't have to worry about our roof collapsing even though they already had a tight schedule. No price gouging either. He could have charged us $200+ more like some other companies we contacted, but didn't. Nice, honest, and local. I would use them again and would recommend them to friends.
Description of Work: Cleared snow from roof a created channels to help prevent damage from ice dams.
I have a small drive, but it's tight and Mike does an awesome job. I highly recommend Mike for snow plowing in addition to everything else I've reviewed. He also gave me a fair estimate for ice dam removal but with a warm up coming suggested I might want to save my money and wait and see what melts away on it's own.

Mike responded the evening I put the request on Angie's list. We arranged for his to come over the next morning. Because of floods of requests, and people with water issues, he was unable to do the work until the upcoming Saturday. (This was fine with us as we had no water issues). Mike and his team showed up on Sat. around noon and worked over 3.5 hours clearing our ranch roof. The gang worked very hard! They cleaned up all of the mess from the snow dropping on walkways and driveway and made sure all vents were free of snow. I was VERY happy with their work.

Still in process. Arranging for the work was very smooth and work began on time. Will review quality when finished.
Description of Work: i used MP Property Maintenance.
Mike has done many different types of jobs for us, and we have always been 100% satisfied. He is reasonable for the work done, especially for the area we live in. He's done other small carpentry jobs for us both on the exterior and interior of our house. He is also able to install lights and do small electrical repairs that don't require an electrician. Mike is just one of those lucky people who is mechanically inclined, and is able to do many different jobs around the house. If he can't do something, or wouldn't think he is the right person, he will tell you that too. He's honest. On top of that, Mike is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, and very flexible. I almost hate to give him such a good review because that might mean he won't be available when I need him!
Description of Work: For this job, he installed a large and a few smaller sections of drywall in our garage.

First, I need to point out the Mike Peck, of MP Property Maintenance is wonderful to work with. Not that you need someone with a good personality to do good work, but it certainly helps a lot. I find Mike to be reliable and trustworthy and have whole-hearted recommended him to friends and strangers alike (in fact, I paid for Angie's list just so I could write this review.) Mike spends a great deal of time discussing my projects before beginning them. He went over my ideas and made his own suggestions. If I want to do something to do something that would be a bad investment for the cost it would be do to it or that can be done another way just as well for cheaper, he'll suggest I scrap my project or offer up alternative solutions for me to consider. Mind you, he never says no to a job he can do, but he truly wants me to get my money's worth and them some. He provides a written estimate and has never charged outside that estimate. H***, even when we've made verbal decisions to add more work on the fly, whatever number he throws out as the new number is what he charges, even if it's not in writing, because he's fair and honorable. He's even offered to do partial work and let me do the bit I can or want to myself to further bring down costs. When Mike is working, if he notices something else is broken around what he's doing, he just fixes it and doesn't charge extra, like a loose door or a rusty mailbox. I left him to his own devices to purchase materials for my jobs but have noticed the materials always seem to be a better quality than I'd expect for the quoted price. When I didn't like the spring mechanism that came with the door he chose (even though I LOVE the door), I asked him to take it down and said it was fine, I could do without a spring closure or we could replace it with something cheap. Mike, instead, bought these bad a** industrial spring hinges and reinstalled the door with them, making it close perfectly every time on it own, and never said "I bought these more expensive parts so I need to charge you more money." I imagine he wouldn't give every little thing away always because that would be unreasonable, but it's very clear that Mike's primary concern is doing the best job possible for a reasonable price. I wish I had the before pictures of my house. It was all cosmetic, but it LOOKED like it was falling apart. The work he did to the front porch alone makes the whole thing look shinier and newer. I most strongly recommend MP Property Maintenance for just about anything you can think of around the house. Even if it's not a job he can do, I bet he'd still make suggested as to cost and recommend people to do it. No matter what your project is, big or small, talk to Mike before talking to anybody else. That's what I do.
Description of Work: Mike's been to my house on multiple occasions and has completed multiple projects, so the date and dollars above probably aren't accurate, but I am a ridiculous comparitive shopper and I am exceptionally confident that for every service Mike provided, I got quality work at more than reasonable prices. So far, he's completed the following: -Completely rescreened my front porch, including adding replacing molding and using metal screens. -Sanded and painted remaining original woodwork -Replaced screen door and mailbox. -Replaces and outdoor light fixture. -Replaced/repaired electrical outlets. -Added a chair rail to my kitchen and painted to match existing walls (this was no small feat, it was weird and uneven and needed to be rigged to look perfect. -Fixed random loose things here or little broken things there. -Discussed and quoted prices and option for future home repairs and/or improvements. ...and there are sooo many more projects on the horizon...

Mike is awesome. We were originally going to have Mike just demo out the old kitchen and hang new drywall. He came right on time to do an estimate and showed up on schedule to start the work. As he was doing that, I found out the flooring company I hired to install the new vinyl flooring didn't put in sub floors. I asked Mike if he could do it. Sure! In the midst of the appliance install, we were having trouble finding a plumber who would hook up the new appliances without charging an arm and a leg. Mike to the rescue. And he found a leak in one the basement pipes that we had not noticed and fixed that too. That was supposed to be it until I decided I had room in the budget for a new bathroom vanity. I called Mike and asked if he wouldn't mind coming back one more time. No problem. Mike is knowledgeable on just about every aspect of home repair, from drywall to painting and plumbing and just about everything in between and he does quality work. The fact that I kept adding to the job and calling him last minute didn't faze him at all and his price was MORE than fair. On top of it all, Mike has a great work ethic and an awesome attitude. He's a true jack of all trades. I would not have gotten through the kitchen remodel without his help. I will definitely be calling on Mike again.
Description of Work: Completely demoed old kitchen, including tearing out drywall, floor and old plumbing. Hung new drywall and installed new sub-flooring.. Hooked up plumbing for new sink, dishwasher and fridge ice maker. Repaired leak found in pipe during install. Removed old bathroom vanity, and installed new vanity, including hooking back up plumbing for new bathroom sink.
