Said it would take three months. After two years -- failed inspections, complaints from City, work still wasn't finished and he disappeared. Windows and door leak. A rip-off con man -- and proud of it! And he's apparently still out there, trying to do business.

He took our money and used it to pay off bad debt, never using our money for the purposes it was intended for. Stay away from this business!
Description of Work: Our condo association selected Windows America to install windows for those members that wanted replacements. Joe, the owner, came in June and accepted deposits for 1/3 of the cost of the overall window installments and said he would use the money as a down payment for the windows. Long story short, about 2 weeks after the windows were scheduled to be installed, Joe called the condo association financial officer and told her that he had used our down payments to pay off other debts, never ordered our windows, and did not have funds to pay us back. He didn't have the courtesy to call each of us, as we had contracted with him as individuals, and not as an association. As one may imagine, we have tried to work things out to an amicable end. Joe told us that the business was going "belly up." However, when I had a friend call to see if they would send someone out to give her a quote on her house (undercover investigation, if you will), they told her they'd be happy to drop by and give her an estimate. They even sent her an informational brochure by mail. Please learn from our misfortune and do not do business with this company. We now need to go through the efforts of taking our cases to small claims court.

Joe Dpesa the company owner took my deposit and promised window installation within a couple of weeks. 2 Months later I still do not have the windows and I am being told that my deposit has been spent to pay other debts. I have still not gotten my by deposit.

Their estimates were weeks off, they mislead me as to completion date, they left work to be done in spring, 3 calls, 2 emails - NO response from them. They were terrible about providing their schedule. I was always forced to call. Only time I would hear from Joe punctually was when he wanted money. I also called weeks ago concerning how when they installed the wallboard they pushed the light outlets in - causing the electrician to return to fix. My electrician, Casello Electric - is a professional and did NOT request payment from me - however Windows America owes them for their work! Craig Leary - salesman provided terrible time estimates. They moved (by unassembling) the deck and when I was cleaning it, found several chipped, gouged and cracked parts. They need to complete the job and reimburse me for expenses: $100 my labor, $74 electrician, $50 since the floor wasn't nailed properly, $25 fine per day late.
Description of Work: Move existing deck, install new 17 x 14 foot sunroom, attach to house.
