Everything went well. They did a great job for a competitive price.

The workers came in on all occasions and went to work right away. They were courteous and professional.

The ten trees - at a cost of $10,000 - are the real problem. We wanted to screen our shady back yard from our neighbors. I proposed yews to Don Carney - he recommended, instead, pines with a vertical habit as he felt I'd get more height for my dollar right away, which sounded good to me. What do I know? He's the professional. On his recommendation, we had them installed. After the first three died, Village Green replaced them, but informed us they wouldn't replace any others if they also died. Along the way I've had a couple of highly-rated tree care firms look at them; both felt they were incorrectly chosen for the shady location, and after spending more than a thousand dollars in care with the firms, neither has been able to save the trees. Well, three years later, they're all dying. Ten thousand dollars down the hole – plus now I will have to pay someone to take them out and replace them, when I can finally afford to do it. In the meantime, every day we look out the kitchen window at a row of dying trees and their brown needles. I cannot recommend hiring Village Green, both because the recommendation was obviously no good, and also because they only partially stood behind their work.
