Pella Windows and Doors

Description of Work: They replaced 18 windows with architect series wood double hung windows with interior stained wood & outside aluminum clad white. It went extremely well, very professional and clean with no problems!

Description of Work: They replaced 8 windows. Two were custom divided light windows which drove the price up. This project is our third Pella project. We find their windows well made and reliable more so than Marlin windows which we used on other projects.

Description of Work: Two windows had to be replaced in my Quincy condo; the salesman showed up on time and didn't try to oversell, the company acquired the appropriate permits and permission from the condo company, and the workmen showed up on time and worked cleanly and efficiently. The windows look and work perfectly. This was a totally pleasant and professional experience that I would 100% recommend to everyone!

Description of Work: Changed all the windows in the house. Added an aluminum exterior wrap. Looks great, saved so much in heat in the first winter.

Description of Work: Installed a new picture window in our family room. We purchased the blinds inside the windows and they work great. |The installers could have cleaned the window better after the installation, but otherwise, very pleased.

Description of Work: Pella replaced two patio doors in 2010. Do not have price or dates |handy. Service was excellent.

Description of Work: Removed old rotting double swing door to the deck, and replaced it with a new slider. THey took care in case of lead paint, reframed the door, and removed all excess materials.. Lots of communication, great durability so far.

Description of Work: The Pella CO. was from Wellesley, MA, not Hanover, MA. |They were clean, quiet and 3 days from start to finish for 16 windows. |Exceptionally great workers.

Description of Work: I reviewed both Anderson windows and Pella. Pella had a better price and was more professional. It went pretty well except for one window coming through cracked. When I inquired about the length of time it would take to replace this window, the salesperson was not quite professional in his response. It took about three weeks after the overall installtion.the date was 4/16/10

Description of Work: the local, Woburn Mass office quoted and installed using their folks 2 new windows as the exsisting frames had begun to be compromised. they did excellent work and sis it on time.

Description of Work: I used them to install two different doors on two different occasions. The design point of the doors is excellent. | |The problem is that they use contractors do do the installation. In both cases, the installations were flawed, and I had to have their "recovery" team come by and fix the installs. For the first door, the threshold was not support properly so it flexed when walking on it, and the door was not adjusted to cut off air infiltration. For the second door, the installer countersunk the trim so that it was actually lower than the door. The recovery team is excellent, works for Pella, and I wish I did not have to see them so often. Pella really needs to work on the competency of the contractors it uses for doors. While I really like their product, I would think three times before using their installation contractors in this area again. When you pay Pella prices, you expect a stress free installation experience. They consistently failed in this regard.

Description of Work: We were interested in a quote for Windows for a major home renovation. The rep showed up on time. He was very professional, understood our needs and had a good plan to show us their products. We decided before our next appointment to cancel the project so we didn't quite review the products they were offering physically. The brochure they gave us provided a lot of information but due to other reasons unrelated to windows replacement, we decided to cancel the project. We will use them again.

Description of Work: Pella replaced 6 double-hung wooden windows and 1 large wooden picture window. We are very impressed with the craftsmanship quality of the windows. They have exceeded our expectations. And we think they are much nicer looking than the stuff we've seen from their major competitors. The Pella sales representative was very professional and helpful, too. The installation crew was good, but they've left a bit of mess behind and, most importantly, the removal of old wooden windows was not done according to safe lead materials handling standards, which we were promised they were going to follow. But, all in all, they didn't really make much mess and the new windows look great! |
