Miller-Sons Painting

Back in February during the horrendous winter of 2015, I contacted Brian Miller for snow and Ice Dam removal. We chatted on the phone and he explained the process, price and that he guaranteed the work would be done with no damage to the house. We agreed on a price of $1000 to remove all of the snow on the roof and remove all of the ice dams. Before Brian and his son arrived, I had already cleared the snow on the roof myself, so Brian and his son started on the ice dams immediately upon arrival. They were not gentle at all and it was clear that they were rushing. Brian wasswinging a large axe over his head. I came up on the roof to check out the work and noticed that shingles were chipped all over the place and in a few spots there was some serious damage to the roof/shingles and gutters with huge gashes. He agreed to come back and fix whatever he broke and continued to work. I came down off of the roof and went in the house. About 10 minutes later, I did not hear Brian and his son on the roof anymore. I looked outside and their car was gone. After 30 minutes I called to see what happened and Brian told me that they didn?t want to finish working on my house. He made it out to sound like I was some kind of ?bad customer? because I was holding him to what we agreed on and in addition he left the work site without even telling me! In all honestly, I think he didn?t like the fact that I came on the roof to see what he did. I get the idea that he was hoping that he could simply rush through the job and the homeowner would never see the damage. He still claimed that he would come back to fix the two area that were heavily damage by him in the Spring. I was unfortunately left to deal with the Ice Dams on my own once he left, since we were already getting water damage. It took me 2 full days to finish the work myself with a hatchet. During that time I took my time and there was absolutely 0% damage done. It was at that point that I realized that Brian could have, but did not take any care in his work to have caused the damage that he did. When spring came I got up on the roof and started to look around. I had to fix the gutters in the areas where Brian was wailing with his axle and the original spot that he agreed to fix had bent up metal siding and a hole that exposed the studs (yikes!). I have since called Brian at both of his numbers many times since March and have left numerous voicemail's (about 12). He clearly is ignoring my calls. I simply asked for the common courtesy for a call back and without hearing from him I would only have the option to leave a bad review and end it there. I was forced to spent time and money to have the roof repaired on my own. DO NOT USE this guy he is untrustworthy, does poor work and does not keep his word.
