Almar is a full service remodeling company. We are happy to take on small and large projects from window replacements thru addition projects (some to us with plans or we can create them for you). You always try to walk all clients thru what they should expect before a project begins, with our Commonly Asked Questions Forms, and How to Prepare for a Project Article. Remodeling isn’t an easy thing for homeowners, having new people in your house. We do our best to keep homeowner updated on what to expect. Even after more than 50 years we are always learning new things form our clients and throughout the industry, so we are always trying to get our systems better and smoother.

Description of Work: Complete remodel of a 2 bedroom ranch style home. Down to the frame, new floor plan and added a 1/2 bath new kitchen and full bath new elec, plumbing, windows, doors, siding and roof in general a new house. Almar made the experience a pleasure they were on time on budget and very professional we would highly recommend Almar to anyone doing any project. Thank you Bob and Carol Burns.

Horrible.
Description of Work: Set up initial appointment to give an estimate for my windows and basement to be finished. The day of the appointment Katie called and said she couldn't make it because she got into a car accident. That was understandable with all the snow. We weren't able to connect and reschedule until earlier this week I received an email from Katie asking if I was still interested in Almar's services. Several emails later we scheduled for a meeting today at 11. It is now noon and I have yet to receive any correspondence from anyone at Almat. I decided to send an email and call and haven't heard back. Customer service is poor and I haven't even got an estimate never mind what it could be like when the work started.

We are very sorry to learn that {removed member name}has felt like he has received poor initial communication in regards to meeting with someone from our team. We received a requested for a quote from Almar via out website on Feb. 10th. Here is a detailed records of our notes since his initial request for a meeting. I (Katie) set him up in our system and called him at the number he provided on February 12th. I emailed him at the email address they provided on Feb. 12th He called me back via my cell phone and we set up a time for February 16th at 1:00pm I had another appointment in the area at 11:00 where a piece of ice came crashing down on my head, I calledand told him I would be a few minutes late due to the ice incident as I was trying to get my bearings! NOT A CAR ACCIDENT When I got to his house at 1:05pm there was no one there and I called our General Manager to ask her what was Almar's standards for a no call/no show?? I waited 30 mins and left my card in the front door and left. I followed up with a phone call while I was waiting and got no response! 5 days later he called me back and informed me that he doesn't check his VM often enough and that something came up and that's why they weren't there. I followed back up with again twice leaving messages and then finally sent email on 3/2/15 asking if he was still interested in having us quote him new windows and he wanted to get some ideas for his basement. He told me that he would not be doing the basement anytime soon due to their budget. It would most likely be a DIY project but that he would love any input I could provide. He contacted me back that Thursday 3/5 would be a good time and that I could meet with him at 11:00 AM. The address they gave me was C--- Street in Brockton. NOT the HIGHLAND AVE in Newton, MA. When I showed at 11:00 AM on 3/6/15, there were no cars in the driveway, no response at the door and no response when I called him. I waited 30 minutes to see if they were possible running errands and forgot about the time. I also tried calling his cell phone and left a message on his VM with no response.

They were phenomenal. It took longer than they said it would. They did the layout and everything so I didn't have to do any of that.
Description of Work: They enlarged my bedroom into the garage.
