RIVER DRIVE EXCAVATING

We needed to repair and upgrade our septic system for Title 5 compliance. We solicited several bids from contractors on the town's approved septic contractor list. River Drive Excavating was quick to respond with a proposal, and patient while we waited to hear from other contractors. While their price was not inexpensive, it was very, very significantly lower than the competition. River Drive was able to schedule construction promptly and kept to that schedule. They worked well with the system's designer/engineer and with the town's inspector. It is a small, family-owned firm that has been doing this work for decades and it shows. The men work quickly and efficiently as a team. The quality of work is very, very good, with precise attention to blueprints and measurements. At each stage, their work was approved by the designer/engineer and inspector, with no revisions needed. The final results were excellent and our yard was beautifully re-graded and re-seeded. We got exactly what was promised and in a timely fashion. Tom, Paul, Paul Jr., and the others were pleasant and professional to work with and I recommend River Drive Excavating with no reservations. Everything was excellent. This is a family business, 2 brothers came out to do the work and their mother works in the office. The 2 brothers were so careful with all their large equipment. They brought a large bulldozer, back hoe and bobcat into a very tight back yard and were so careful around everything. They had to dig out the 2 large stumps from trees that were taken down. They dug a hole the size of a swimming pool to do all their work. They put down stone, pea gravel and two new distribution boxes for the leach field. They were able to accomadate my short schedule since I was selling the home. After about 3 days of work, they filled in the large hole, graded, raked by hand and seeded and strawed the entire area.
